I've been eyeing the "Eye of Africa" Estate for some time, if I relocate from Cape Town to Jozi. Here is my personal opinion, all the houses look the same, some are already looking their age, whereas the designs will "date" soon..most lack character. The gardens look generally beautifully landscaped as do the surrounding areas. Golf Course Estates are now a dime a dozen, expensive to maintain and a huge drain on water resources and not so environmentally friendly either. Still its a great looking place and the houses are a steal at R5M ..
You summed it up perfectly.💯. Gated Estates are selling security, convenience and lifestyle more than anything. Even though the upkeeps are expensive, buts it’s worth living there if you can afford it.
