I followed all your instructions, tried it many times for couple days but nothing... Then I decided to heat up the screen and I did put the phone on the top of heater for 5 minutes and screen came back to life!!! Don't know how long it will last but working for now!! 👍
I left it on the heater(screen face the heater) 😂 don't leave it for too long, you don't want it to explode or catch fire or burn your house down for a mobile phone!!
Thank you! I tried all 6 steps a few times throughout the day with no luck. I let it sit charging for a while and then came back to it. Tried the first 5 steps again, and then repeated step 1 a few more times in a row, and by some miracle the screen came back on.
Saving this video incase the time has come for my Note 20 Ultra to turn black screen. This is not new to me as I experienced this already with my previous phone, Samsung Note 9. I was crying back then when I experienced it as the phone is sooo expensive, glad it turned on again.
None of these suggestions worked for me. What did happen is as follows. My phone was on but blackscreen. Unusable. The morning alarm was continuing to go off so I put it away until i could take it to the repair joint. After a few days, I pressed the power button and saw the charge indicator light up on the screen, 0%. I plugged the charger back in and after a minute the charging indicator came back on and eventually it got to 5%. I switched on my phone and VOILA it has worked since. So maybe, if possible try and run your phone dead flat, then try it. I'm no expert and Im only passing on what i found. Good luck.
I've tried this also, I must have rebooted my phone over 100x time, and continuously doing all of the 6 fixes in this video. I was able to drain the phone battery by letting it charge another phone. After battery completely died I've waited one night, next morning upon charging still had no screen. I was repeating all of he steps in this video again. Then drained the battery again and this time left the phone dead for 3 days. Now after I plugged it in, the screen lit up with the charging logo. Next thing I was going to try was to disassemble the phone and unplug the ribbon connector, I'm glad i didn't have to come to that.
Thanks man. I was super skeptical. I forgot the Phone in the freezer for 20min 😮 - after Temp. was normal again I used the massage methode and eventually the screen turned on 🎉
My Story on the Black Screen: My wife's phone was on the counter with the screen on and working fine, she moved it and placed it on another counter, 5 mins later she checked the phone and it was the black screen. Searched online and found this video, tried everything numerous times. Nothing worked. 4 days passed then I figured I should probably let the battery run out then try it again so I connected the phone to my fire stick and used it as a power source until the battery died (7 hours later, which was quite impressive) after it died I did everything this video said and nothing. The morning after when I accepted defeat and decided to carry it to Samsung service center (which I really did not want to , if they open it I believe the waterproof integrity will be reduced once it's opened) the morning I picked up the phone, clicked the power button, and the screen turned on! .... I checked the camera roll and precisely the moment the screen went black and we were trying to unlock it, it took screenshots, the screenshots showed that the camera was on which she may have clicked open by mistake, so I think because the camera app was left on maybe somehow the screen decided to go black... Such an expensive phone with a issue like this... Definitely will not be purchasing Samsung again. Will be iphone for her and Google pixel for me. Hope everyone got theirs solved.
I realized the phone was alive because i accidentaly activated talk back accesibility option sad part for me the screen still black....:( the the voice assitanc and my phone got hard reset for some reason.....
I just want to say thank you, New Years Eve my phone went black devastated. New years Day tried all day trying to reactivate phone. I tried all the steps multiple times except putting it in the freezer. Last resort decided I will try the freezer method. Put it in for 10mins took it out and tried force restarting didn't work left for a few minutes then grabbed it and then decided to continuously hold the 2 buttons, force restarting non stop about 5 or 6 times feeling it vibrate every time and hoping it will restart. Then I could not believe my eyes when the phone lit up and saw those words Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G. great sense of relief. I was not happy the way my new year started but now am relieved. Backing up my phone now. It's still under warranty but if I took it in for repairs I'm quite sure they would of deleted all my data. I would have not been impressed. Thanks again!
Connecting mine to a tv via a USB-C to HDMI adapter, going to settings, and doing a software update fixed my screen. I recommend giving this a shot if your screen is black and you can still feel the phone vibration doing a reset using the volume down and power buttons. The $20 I spent getting the adapter was totally worth it.
My software is updated to the latest, but did you do a factory reset? I did get the usbc to hdmi and i can still play around the phone only with the monitor
@@emarler7ify it didnt help. But i ended up doing was making my phone as a pc using samsung dex. I just have to get usb c hub and voila. It’s useful again. Too bad i had to get a new phone now.
Using this phone for the past week from a friend. Note 20 ultra 5G. Wireless charging overnight, screen black on a.m. using cable to tv, on the 4th or 5th software update (the friend hadn't used the phone in over a year I think). Still hoping it works... tried someone else's suggestion about open and close camera app when hooked up to TV, but no luck yet
After this happened to my pixel 5a which doesn't have display out, I'm only gonna stick to phones that support some kind of display out (in case I forget to keep wireless debugging enabled again ):
Exactly same screen remaining off experience for me. 15 months after purchase, never dropped even from 10cm, never got it into any liquid or humidity. I was certain nothing was dislodged because my phone was fine before sleeping and it was sitting in a dedicated space near my pillows. Nothing touched it or moved. When I woke up I saw the screen dark and thought the battery was probably dead. But then I heard some notification and understood the screen was somehow stuck in off mode. I had to restart (hold volume down + power button) for about 20-30 times before the Samsung logo came up normally as it should. Don't tap / beat your phone or put it into the freezer unnecessarily (if you are certain it's a not software glitch). Freezer method can invalidate your warranty since after you take it out the condensed water that forms may create humidity / droplets inside the phone which is going to permanently show that your phone was exposed to humidity in the past (there are special stickers inside your phone which react to humidity and change color). Try the hard restart method 20-30 times first before trying anything more brutal (yes, actually be patient and try hard restart method for at least 30 times). Tapping, squeezing and freezer method should only be attempted after you tried at least 30 times the hard restart method. because in 90% of the cases this is a software glitch which needs to cleared out from the system.
mine is 15months old and did the same thing. just out of warranty... i still havent manage to get it started yet.. it has sound , just black screen.. i have had mine in waterproof protection case and never dropped it.. so not sure why it has done this... i will never buy samsung phone again after this.
IT WORKED!! Useful info: My phone was working fine, didn't drop it, and suddenly I got a black screen. You could still call my phone, feel vibrations, even answer phone calls if you knew where to swipe, but the screen was COMPLETELY BLACK. Even knew about the force restart, but this alone did not work. IMPORTANT: I followed all the steps in this video (except the freezer step). Additionally, I had to REPEAT those steps MORE THAN ONCE. What he says is true, don't get discouraged, it may take several cycles of these steps. Make sure you plug in the phone when he says to, and to restart when he says to. Eventually, ONCE YOU RESTART THE PHONE, you will get the Samsung screen....AND IT IS FIXED! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO :)
Yes I agree. It's rubbish when we pay so much for these Samsung flagship phones, only to find out that the parts inside are flimsy. I wouldn't mind, but as I've got 2 phones, my note 20 ultra sits safely on the sofa & bedside table. It's never been overused or been treated roughly.
Fyi, It happened on my friend's Galaxy S22 too. Now he changed to iphone 13 pro, but he told me Samsung already fixed the screen problem but I don't think so I dare to re buy any of Samsung products now. If you surf the internet you'll find this problem also suffer on Galaxy Tab as well 😫 Imagine you have to apply such treatment of beating your giant Tab like this 😭
Guys guys guys 💥🧚🧚 my note 20 ultra just now came to life , my black screen came to life after 3 days , i tried all these methods for 3 days and nothing helped for me but , i kept my hope on the phone and kept trying and the last thing i was doing to the phone i heat the screen for a lit bit by using the candle for 3 or 4 seconds and then i removed the sim card and sd card .After removing i again did thw force restart and then by a miracle 🙏 the phone came back to life , Thanks a lot for the video and guys don't give ur phone to repair center because u can repair ur phone by ur self u only need to have faith on it , try and try even for the final last moment guys, Wish u all the best of luck From Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 💖
Hey I’m a Sri Lankan too using a note 20. My phone is currently down and it’s not turning on at any cost. I didn’t hit it anywhere or anything. Does it actually work after sometime ? Need it to wrk urgently that’s why. Freaking out.
Hey guys after seven months of using the phone after the first balckout i got a second black screen on this month and after sooo many attempts i get the screen back on don't lose ur hopes, try and try and then u will receive what u want.
For insight before I experienced a black screen. I was outside doing yard work and I believe something tapped my pocket hard striking the phone while working. Note for others, leave your phone resting when working.
@trickerbaby. 😂🤣 yes. 100% I had sold it on eb4y and factory reset. I checked it to make sure it was okay and shocked I couldn't see anything, but could hear noise. Tried all above 4 or 5 times. Then did the freezer, tried again and it worked.
@owo グーチmoshi it's happened to me twice now and nothing is working. But they can't even fix it because there is a "national shortage of parts". I'm beyond effed off. I just want my phone working.
Was pretty skeptical when it got to the hitting my phone part but the massage step is what did it for me. Personally I would do this step before the tapping one in the future because it seems like it would "put something back in place" better. Thanks a bunch for the video!
I tried each step and was very discouraged as we proceeded to the last step. The last & final step was to put the phone in the freezer for 10 minutes and reboot after. The phone surprisingly worked. Thank you!
Works like magic for me I actually thought this was a joke or video to get views but guys believe me the messaging method just worked for me.. Very happy right now I still can't believe this worked for me 😢😢👍👍👍
Thanks a million for your tips ! After trying various combinations, it turned out that something inside was misplaced. After a few attempts it fell back into place and my phone restarted and came to life. You've been a lifesaver 🙏
Thank you so much! My husband thought he had broken his phone months ago and we didn't want to pay so much money to get it fixed so we had it sitting on the shelf until now. It was the massage part that finally got the phone to come back to life. You are a life saver.
HELLO DEAR, we've tried all your steps, like 6 times (exept the fridge), we put down the phone, after 6x your 6step program, to later put it in the fridge AND..... It is on!!!!!!! My phone works again!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 👍 💋 Also for mentioning to do it over and over and over again, i am SÓ thankful!!
My Galaxy Note 20 Ultra came back to life after the freezer step. It is funny and unbelievable at the same time that you have to put a nearly USD 1K device to freeze just to make it work again! Thanks anyway, you´re a life saver!
As skeptical as I was... I performed all 6 steps (yes, I left it in the freezer for nearly an hour as i forgot) anyhow when I got to the "plug it in" section on my second run... *BAHLOOP* and it started charging. I got into this problem because i had left the phone off the charger and it went dead and refused to accept being plugged in.... seems to be taking a nice charge and it started up. Thank you. Don't give up on it is my advice.
My Samsung galaxy note 8 is not turning on..black screen ..no sounds. I keep in charge it just appear circle and chargin sign but no percentage ..any help ?
Thank you so much! I did the steps about 6 times, after drained the battery completely, charged it a while, did the steps 2 more times and restarting it after the massage worked. Don't be shy to press it a little harder but be careful.Took about 24 hours.
simply charging for 10 minutes while watchin this video preparing to attempt steps 1 to 6 is what did it for me my advice to others is to leave it charge for 15 miuntes whle your preparing to attempt one of the fixes and you may get the same result as i did. normal functions returning to the lock buttton
had a glitching, flashing, green lock screen and a black screen upon unlocking. the smacking method worked. my phone's time seems to be running out but this works for the time bring. thank you!
Okay the finger tapping worked. For anyone curious my phone was fully charged but when I woke up in the morning the screen was black. The only response I got from the phone was vibrations. Normal ones and even the vibration you get when you turn off the phone. Thank you for the video btw! Really helpful.
@@VenaExperience At first I panicked aswell, but I think if you arent afraid to tap it pretty hard it may work, it took me like 6 attempts, probably like 20 minutes of stress, but I was changing my tap strenght each time. Phone still works.
For anyone skeptical with the freezer method, it does work. My phone either had an underlying issue of a loose connecter or something I don't know, but rebooting with and without a charge, tapping, and massaging did not work for me (maybe if I keep trying). The freezer shit worked as I left it for an hour accidentally, but you definitely only need 10 minutes max if anything. After I took it out and saw the screen return I was ecstatic, but as it warms up, the screen becomes unstable (flickering) and after a few, the phone starts rebooting by itself. At this point in time, and even through this revision I have not fully charged it. I placed it in the freezer again and it worked again. Basically, cold good, warm bad. As I'm transferring my files out of my phone, I'm making sure that the phone is keeping cool in the freezer, looking like a dumbass, and as said, screen is starting to flicker as it warms up. It will probably keep happening, so I made sure to only do ANY action briefly then let it cool, same when transferring my files out. I finally finished transferring all my important files, so I'll let ya'll know what happens if I finally let it fully charge up if the "cold good, warm bad", is still the same. My guess is the condensation helped the power transfer between the connecters, but what do I know. Edit: Spelling Edit 2: Made the comment more concise and added details as necessary
My Samsung note 8 suddenly turned black and switched off..there is no notification sound ..cellphone is totally off ..I only can see circle charging when plugged in but without showing percentage ..I tried button methods it doesn't work..may you help ?
GUYS, I had this issue occur to me yesterday, I was genuinely losing hope after spending all morning trying these steps, but after giving it a good few smacks the screen suddenly turned on. I can't tell you how relieved I am that it actually works! THANK YOU FOR THIS! Guys do not lose hope, have patience I promise you it will be worth it
@@maobesitos don't lose hope, give it at least a day to fix itself :) also try draining the battery and recharging for about 10 minutes then holding vol down and power to reboot
I don't know. Tomorrow is my birthday. And I am traveling in Mexico. I need my phone for uber and directions. now I'm hopeless. This happened to me after the update. everything was ok, i was on an uber and it shut down for no reason. makes sounds and everything.
Worked for me, the first one. Thank you! Saved me a bundle, I was about to start shopping for a new phone since this one is old. It just worked so well until i changed the battery. Back to life again thanks to you!
Just had the same problem. Tried the solutions in the video, no luck. I read in several places that people had their phone come back to life itself after a few days. This happened to me. Try the following as an additional solution. 1. After you've tried the hard reset and still black screen, make sure the phone is on by removing s pen and feeling for vibration or checking connection to a wearable device. 2. Leave phone for a 2+ days until the battery drains and the phone turns off itself. 3. Check the phone is off. 4. Charge overnight while phone is off 5. Turn on with power button. I was planning on taking my phone to Samsung service centre later today, but it started to work this morning. 😊
This guy is amazing and THANKS for the video. I left my Samsung Galaxy 20Note exposed to the sun for too long and the screen went dead black. I tried all the video's tips one time and did not work. I let the phone idle for one hour and tried again and the tapping technique made the screen to come back. Thanks Mr. 6 Easy Fixes!!
I've tried all of the methods so far. No luck. :( The mobile is definitely on, it vibrates, and I feel the notifications. I'll keep trying though. Just one thing, the top half of the screen seems warmer than the bottom - if that helps any one figure out what's wrong? UPDATE: I let the battery drain for a day. Charged it for 10 mins, smacked it and it now works! However, it's still heating up quite a bit, so I might do a factory reset.
I watched this on a separate device and had to come back to say it worked. I was just about to put it in the freezer and I forced the restart one more time after tapping massaging and patting and on my way to the fridge, it came on. Thanks so much.
Wow... amazing... it works for my 2 months old note 20 ultra. Suddenly earlier today got black screen but still can receive notification. After several attempts of your recommendation methods, succeed with tapping method with stronger taps. Good job mate..!! Sending best regards from Jakarta, Indonesia 👍👍 #autosubscribed

Phone went black just yesterday and no one was able to help, decided to order another phone then got worried that all my contacts and work emails would be gone. Look at UA-cam and you have saved me greatly. I will be trying this again if my phone messes up again. Now 1st thing is to back up all my information. Thanks for the save.🙂
Sharing what I did to get my Note 20 ultra to comback (it took me 10 days!): I did all the steps in this tutorial... had lost hope already, even went to Samsung authorized repair center - only for them to tell me that due to a scratch on the back, it was out of warranty and I would have to pay €.500 to repair it. I insisted, told them the same story that all of us went through (was working normally and out of nowhere black screen), but they said the screen had to be replaced. Well, I decided to wait and let the battery drain - it took quite some time. after 0% battery, I left the phone charging in the original charger & cable for 24h. When I turned it on, I did the tap-tap thing of this tutorial and Bang! Samsung logo appeared! (Happiness and Fireworks in my mind as well). Things I learned while researching the issue: 1 - Some people claim it is due to camera app crashing in the background 2 - Samsung Dex often works (I read some people claiming phone was back on after connecting to hdmi cable) 3 - When you see the lock screen of Dex, use Spen to unlock the phone blindly (touch sensor worked with the Spen + Dex, but only to unlock it) 4 - Run the settings system optimization and close suspended apps 5 - Use Dex to back up all your data just in case 6 - Let the battery drain to 0% + charge + turn on and do the taptap (worked for me) Wish you guys luck & honestly, samsung deserves a lot of hate. I was always a suporter of Samsung specially when compared to Apple products. This experience showed me they are both fruits from the same tree.
What a life saver!! The freezer technique worked for me. I was losing hope as the massage/tap/slap was not working unti I put the phone in the freezer for 10mins. Thank youuu!!! You saved me 500$ for the repair
I did your 1st step and glad it came back so THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥺 I'm going to samsung store to ask them why my phone goes like that. Like i literally freak out this phone cost so much to be like that 😩
@@ItsClarkYT hi i just did the steps hard reset on this video and voila it worked, my phone opened and running smoothly again 👍, if the steps doesn't make your phone open maybe go to samsung service center for further check up on your phone.
hey, did you go to the samsung store? what did they say? I'm really disappointed in this phone it costs so much I should've just bought a used iPhone 11

This video was awesome! I broke my phone, I couldn't tell if it would start or anything because the screen was broken and no audio was coming out. The phone company wanted this broken phone back or they would charge me 1K. I wasn't about to give them the phone with all the sensitive information I had on it still. So thank you for this video because it worked and in turn saved me 1K!!!!
It works on the last step I PUT INSIDE THE FREEZER for 10minutes. Thank you man you save me from get it repair which is so expensive and I might lost all my datas THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing these to us👍🙏
i was getting desperate becasue it wasnt working ,,, and i needed to make a phone call,,, but i kept trying ,, tappping and tapping and all of the sudden it worked ,,, thanks so much
Guys, as this gent says if all methods except the fridge/freezer 10 minutes ones don't work initially, *repeat the tapping & slap the phone, not too hard but firmly in the palm of your hand & repeat a few times.* I'd given up hope but persevered & voila! Suddenly my screen clock showed. I put my phone into safe mode initially. Then, I turned it off & then back on again. It's now working absolutely fine. Just as well as the blasted alarm has been going off every 10 minutes for 15 hours! Black screen meant there was no way of turning it off.
To everyone being skeptical of these method. Trust me and try all of these method. I had black screen for months on my note 10 after it fell in water for a long time. Had given up to fix the phone until i saw this video. It freaking worked. Massaging part helped for me. Thanks for this video. You're a life saver.
I never comment, like or leave any trace when on youtube, searching for sollutions to my current problems. But this, this deserves all the kudos i have. My phone was completely black and i was checking my insurance coverage at the same time as searching for possible sollutions. This actually ended up fixing my problem. For me it was the tapping of the phone and a quick reset with both screenlock and volume buttons. I say thank you for this video, sir, and have a merry good christmas! :)
2 month old note 20 ultra 5g and I got black screen while scrolling facebook. I was disheartened with this flagship phone, tried your video until step 5 but nothing was working. Felt afraid to try step 6, I read the comments and found that finger tapping worked for most. SO I did it again, this time with more force and effort and now it's finally working!!! thank you!!! God bless you and Merry Christmas :)
I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra & 3 days ago when I discovered this video, I tried every single step without success. Then When I wanted to demonstrate to a friend that my galaxy phone can charge his iPhone 12 Pro Max, when I inserted the USB to Lightining cable, the screen miraculously came back to life. I am so happy right now ☺🤗
This was very helpful. I followed all steps except for the last step. I followed the steps at random times through out the day. The display started working again after one and a half days. Saved me a lot of money.
I tried all except freezer one and it didn't work took it to a repair station and the guy there pressed the power button fast on and off and the phone came on. I think the Bixby/ power button was stuck depressed.
THANK YOU wow first 2 didn't work and the tapping wasn't working so I literally started slamming it into my fist anddd.. bingo lol Edit: Realizing a $1,300 phone (that is in a heavy duty case) randomly broke and only started working again beause I bitch slapped it has me a little concerned 😟
worked for my samsung note 20 ultra.. i did all the 5 methodes, exclude refrigerator one. And finally it restarted after several times repeated, religiously (more than 10 times.. lol).. THANK YOU!! went to samsung center as well, but they suggested to change LCD/screen and there will be data lost risk.. certainly i refused!
Fantastic video! Thanks to you my mobile is now working again. If I had sent it in for repairs I most probably would have lost all my data, photos and contacts which I didn't get around to backing up. After trying the the first 2 fixes over and over with no results, the next day I spent about an hour tapping the front and back, tried the forced restart but again no results, then massaged it followed by force restart. I alternated between the two for sometime until my hands started getting very tired and cramped from the massaging. Soon after one of the restarts, the Samsung logo and the screen suddenly lit up! I was amazed.. and relieved! You definitely get a thumbs up from me 👌👍
@@naula7 Unfortunately for me, just recently my phone blacked out again and this time I couldn't get the screen to work. Still, it wasn't a waste as I managed to get my data & photos all backed up and saved plus it gave me several extra months of usage. I took it in to a local repair guy and he disconnected my battery and restarted several times but still couldn't get it to work. He says I will have to change the whole screen which will cost around $480! I ended up buying myself a Xiaomi Mi Max 3 mobile on eBay as I love big phones - this only cost $362 and this is what I am currently using. With regards to fixing the replacement screen, I remembered my credit card gave an extended warranty, so I am in the process of putting in a claim on my credit card insurance and hope they will cover the replacement cost. After this, I won't be buying any Samsung mobiles again as I have also had previous problems with battery life on my previous mobile. I hope you have better luck with your phone and that it doesn't black out again like mine did. 🙏
You rock!!! Tapping the screen worked. Had T-Mobile escalated tech person on the phone. Watched this video and did what you said and fixed it before they could finish explaining their step. Just subscribed because of all the drama you saved us.
Oh my gosh thank you so much! It was the freezer part that worked. I was scared because it was a rare occasion that my parents would give me a phone. Again, thank you so much.
Whenever I forced a restart, I felt a vibrate at the same time you did but the black screen never went away Edit: I got it taken to the store and they fixed it for free cause it was an issue with the phone itself and I didn't damage it so it's all good
@@thatonedoge6394 Yeah It worked once when I froze it... again went black after 3 days...Could it be something wrong with the motherboard? Thanks for Replying though!!

Did your phone right now is still working normal after the black screen???
Tried those steps but in reality the connectors for the sub to main link have to be gently cleaned wrih a Q tip and reconnected.
Brooo I have an Note 20 Ultra and the alarm was going off. I wanted to turn it off but then the screen just turned black and never turned back on
Thanks man. I was super skeptical. I forgot the Phone in the freezer for 20min 😮 - after Temp. was normal again I used the massage methode and eventually the screen turned on 🎉

I was scrolling through my facebook feed when my screen blacked out so I don't think it has anything to do with the camera.
@@eh_miiee I didn't, but it's worth a shot if you can backup everything.
Thanks!
Tapping, squeezing and freezer method should only be attempted after you tried at least 30 times the hard restart method. because in 90% of the cases this is a software glitch which needs to cleared out from the system.
same to you, 15 months
mine is 15months old and did the same thing. just out of warranty... i still havent manage to get it started yet.. it has sound , just black screen.. i have had mine in waterproof protection case and never dropped it.. so not sure why it has done this... i will never buy samsung phone again after this.
Pathetic that it happens to so many owners
We should contact a class-action attorney. And keep tweeting and contacting @samsung until they admit that hundreds of flagship phones are broken.
Damn. It happens to me as well.
If you surf the internet you'll find this problem also suffer on Galaxy Tab as well 😫
Imagine you have to apply such treatment of beating your giant Tab like this 😭
Mine worked but android 13 notification came up and decided to update and it got it again 😢😢😢

Thank you the tap the back of the phone on your palm method brought mine back!
For insight before I experienced a black screen. I was outside doing yard work and I believe something tapped my pocket hard striking the phone while working. Note for others, leave your phone resting when working.
Thank you, it helped me so much
Pretty amazed after the freezer trick, it worked!! I had no hope when I put it in there
The freezer trick was the one that worked for me!! Very much appreciated!

Thank you, tried methods 1 to 4 a few times on my blacked out Note 20 ultra, and finally the screen came back on.
Tried all first 5 steps 'twice'. Then stuck it in the freezer for 10mins, took it out, tried step one and bingo! It worked. Thanks 👍
Are you sure it really worked?
@trickerbaby. 😂🤣 yes. 100% I had sold it on eb4y and factory reset. I checked it to make sure it was okay and shocked I couldn't see anything, but could hear noise. Tried all above 4 or 5 times. Then did the freezer, tried again and it worked.
Should this be happening on a 1k & $1300 phone?
It can happen to any phone even iPhones even $2500 phones.

The freezer trick worked for me. You are a lifesaver.
Was pretty skeptical when it got to the hitting my phone part but the massage step is what did it for me. Personally I would do this step before the tapping one in the future because it seems like it would "put something back in place" better. Thanks a bunch for the video!
Same thing for me. Seemed to fix it. Gotta love percussive maintenance.

i thought this dude was nuts, but if you people swear by it, then looks like it's time to start beating the snot out of my phone🙌🙌
The fridge method may seem weird but IT WORKS!! The phone repair shop technician couldn't fix it but the fridge did it. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Equally skeptical but smacked the bottom edge and flashed on and off. Smack again ... stayed on! Thanks man!!

After trying various combinations, it turned out that something inside was misplaced. After a few attempts it fell back into place and my phone restarted and came to life. You've been a lifesaver 🙏
Good job!!!
The massage technique worked for me! Thank you so much ❤
Thank you so much! My husband thought he had broken his phone months ago and we didn't want to pay so much money to get it fixed so we had it sitting on the shelf until now. It was the massage part that finally got the phone to come back to life. You are a life saver.
Does it happened many times
Thanks, man. My issue got resolved 60 seconds into your video.
It worked!!!! The video was so helpful! So happy that after I tried doing step 1 and 2 a couple of times my phone turned on. 😄😊👋

to make it work again! Thanks anyway, you´re a life saver!
Followed all the steps till the massage method and thereafter the phone rebooted with the samsung logo & it works. Thanks so much!
I tried the 2nd and 3rd method simultaneously. I don’t know which one worked but it worked. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I did the steps about 6 times, after drained the battery completely, charged it a while, did the steps 2 more times and restarting it after the massage worked. Don't be shy to press it a little harder but be careful.Took about 24 hours.
simply charging for 10 minutes while watchin this video preparing to attempt steps 1 to 6 is what did it for me
my advice to others is to leave it charge for 15 miuntes whle your preparing to attempt one of the fixes and you may get the same result as i did. normal functions returning to the lock buttton
had a glitching, flashing, green lock screen and a black screen upon unlocking. the smacking method worked. my phone's time seems to be running out but this works for the time bring. thank you!
Step 3 works for me. Thank you for this video!! Really helpful!!
The freezer did it for me. Thank you for your video. I was literally in tears, my whole life is on my phone.
Okay the finger tapping worked. For anyone curious my phone was fully charged but when I woke up in the morning the screen was black. The only response I got from the phone was vibrations. Normal ones and even the vibration you get when you turn off the phone. Thank you for the video btw! Really helpful.
I had the exact same waking up yesterday
hey can I ask how many tries it took for you before it worked? It's been about 12 hours for me with no luck
Edit: Spelling
Edit 2: Made the comment more concise and added details as necessary

Putting your phone in the freezer how long did I take
Just had the same problem.
4. Charge overnight while phone is off

Still up and running?
What's your update now?
Update amigo?
I watched this on a separate device and had to come back to say it worked. I was just about to put it in the freezer and I forced the restart one more time after tapping massaging and patting and on my way to the fridge, it came on. Thanks so much.

Things I learned while researching the issue:
1 - Some people claim it is due to camera app crashing in the background
2 - Samsung Dex often works (I read some people claiming phone was back on after connecting to hdmi cable)
3 - When you see the lock screen of Dex, use Spen to unlock the phone blindly (touch sensor worked with the Spen + Dex, but only to unlock it)
4 - Run the settings system optimization and close suspended apps
5 - Use Dex to back up all your data just in case
6 - Let the battery drain to 0% + charge + turn on and do the taptap (worked for me)
Wish you guys luck & honestly, samsung deserves a lot of hate. I was always a suporter of Samsung specially when compared to Apple products. This experience showed me they are both fruits from the same tree.
If Connected with cable to laptop can I copy or delete files of cellphone with using laptop ?

Thanks for your sharing, buddy. At least it gave me hope not to give up after trying a few times.
Thank you very much, the method you gave of tapping on the phone, that one worked for me. Thanks.
Whenever I forced a restart, I felt a vibrate at the same time you did but the black screen never went away
Edit: I got it taken to the store and they fixed it for free cause it was an issue with the phone itself and I didn't damage it so it's all good
Hey same issue for me. What is ur country. Trying to figure out what to do about this. Please help by replying.
Sadly I don't think there's anything you can do to fix the issue besides taking your phone to the store you got it from. I'm from the US btw
@@thatonedoge6394 Yeah It worked once when I froze it... again went black after 3 days...Could it be something wrong with the motherboard? Thanks for Replying though!!
Maybe, I'm not sure
