So.... I've watched this through the years. I'm watching it again in 2018 and I never paid much attention before but.... People seem to take cruel pride in the downfall of this group. You can't get more evil than watching your own country take delight in seeing you hurt.
I love Five Star; I did back then and still do now. But, in retrospect, I think they should have been a little less conspicuous with their new-found wealth and spending habits. Flaunting your wealth will always breed a certain amount of contempt.

The nerve of others to say what Five Star should not have purchased. Many celebrities have studios and other fancy things in their homes. People will do what they please to do with their money. In the end, they learn whether the investment was good or a waste.
I remember their cartoon strip in "Look In" magazine...ahh nostalgia!!!!
Oh wow I remember them! I thought they were so cool. In the states there was this show called radioscope and they did a comparison to them and the Jets. They mention that in Five Star interview, they bragged about how many cars they had. In other words calling them materialistic. Never less I still like them alot. Thanks for the video.
I wasn't talking about this interview. I was talking about a radio show that aired in the states. They made comparisons that they were materialistic, while the other family group just talked about music. I like both groups during that time. I felt they had their own appeal and contribution the the 80's music scene.
