BTW. Amazon has the Victorinox Alox One / Solo for $21 on sale right now. I know you have been wanting one and they won't probably ever be this cheap again. I would jump on one while you can. Blessings
Great knife that one - #77 is my favourite size of GEC Barlow (although many put the #15 in that spot). CK denotes Collector Knives (Mike Latham) - 128 were made in your Red Sawcut. I wish Bill would use the steel liners and pins more often, particularly with stag and light bone which are vulnerable to brass bleed (verdigris).
There were 77s made in earlier years with spears and clips. Not sure if the red sawcut was used on another runs for spears. I have a natural micarta spear, autumn sawcut pinch clip, 77 cocobolo spear, and the most infamous 77 the 2014 blade forums clip in stag PPP. Only made 1 run and that’s it so far. It doesn’t have the full bolsters so not the same as Mikes Barlow.
I've got several northwoods two Jack Wolf what should I say Jack the rip and a couple of penis knives or should I say panier get yourself some Rough Riders better bang for your book how much better looking and the same Steel the only one thing different rough rider I've got an r on the bolster you've got an n and your pain 300 quid more than me because I won't be caught out again
What the hell is a gec? Nice copy of the old Barlow pocket knife. Y'all make new fancy names and drive up the price of everything you touch. This is all BS!
@@albertwashingtonjr2089 it’s a great eastern cutlery #77 Yankee Barlow it’s a us hand made knife not very many were made of that specific one so that’s what makes it expensive also you can find some for just a little more than a case knife but way better quality and don’t drive me in with all the gec eBay sellers they are the ones driving up the prices. 😅 god bless you brother
Great Eastern Cutlery. Started in 2006 and is owned by Bill Howard (Queen Cutlery’s former Chief Designer). They are located in located in Titusville, Pa. Most of their employees have been with them from near the beginning and over the years they have become highly skilled in the performance of their craft. Typically, more than 200 individual processes are required to produce a GEC knife. Probably the best production traditionals being made in the US.
That yankee Barlow is freaking awesome!! That’s a pattern I’m adding to the list to get!! Thanks for sharing!
