Afaik; a hobo is normally a travelling homeless person (hopping trains) who is willing to work, and a bum is one who begs on the street.

We definitely use ‘homely’ to describe actual houses in Australia. I have heard it used it to describe fat ladies before but that was probably on US TV.
It's not necessarily for describing fat people in the USA.
It can mean that, but its a whole mental idea that you are referring to someone less than average good looks, but not ugly, usually a woman. One who's a decent person, not a B*, that some would describe as maybe a 3-5 hot. 5 being average, of course.
Skinny boards, Horse faces, moon face, too many chins, no chins. Overweight, lack of enthusiasm, dull, dutiful. Etc.

Really sucks to see how far Segura has fallen. His first several specials were REALLY good. Then he got rich. And famous. And completely disconnected from everyday life. His last 2 specials have been really bad. Lazy jokes and tons of podcast references. I guess it's hard to continue to put out really good stand up material when you're a podcaster first and a standup second.

Love this 2 episodes with Mark because they're not oblivious to marks comedy but they also not indulge him with over laughing so you can see Mark is really an akward dude and not just a character. True king of comedy

For straightforward logical people, mark is extremely tiring to listen too. You cant possibly get each joke, especially when mark interrupts your train of thought with wisecracks constants.
Love that Howie delivered the origin of the title of Mark's special to him. Howie has a style that playful guests lean into, which makes for rich content. Mark is incredible, both at standup, but also at being excellent at interviews. Dude does so many and does such a great job teaching viewers of his style at the same time he answrs questions, is vulnerable, plays into the podcaster's movements. Anytime I see him in a thumbnail I will click it, but in this case seeing him on Howie's was extra exciting.
I haven't seen Norman that uncomfortable. Mandel is out-spectrum-ing him, and also isn't getting half the jokes. Yet, it's Mandel and Mark respects him so can't insult.

I know they’re family but the daughter is the antithesis of improv comedy by over an again correcting the accuracy in Howie’s stories and clearly has Howie in a different mode than his usual looser comedic comfort zone. This is why family not always, but often doesn’t work great together. However Mark did a great job of consistently bringing it back to a comedic tone
I completely disagree, it's always a good idea to have co-hosts to keep each other in check, this is in part her show after all.

Although his sentiment and place of where it comes from I align with; however there is a disconnect where he feels things like the pandemic and quarantine and how it was handled was great because it saved lives...well I want lives saved. So does Ethan. I disagree tho on the vax being as bog standard and safe as other vax we've taken for years, or evennjust that we don't have all the facts on the heart issues, that people should at least be allowed to wonder and choose...he sees it as killing people by having that outlook. Thats where I disconnect. I got it btw, had a severe reaction that caused inflammation of the brain and was in severe pain for 8hrs. Friend of mines teenage son developed a severe heart condition. So fornme there is real world thigns that didn't happen with every other one I had. So it's just kind of a diffrent perspective where I feel it's OK to wonder. It doesn't make you a MAGA Q guy lol
Thats a more extreme example but inngenral that's my beef with his politics. It's just his team mentality of us vs them. He often labels people as one thing and I think I'm more apt to sift through all their character traits first.
Other than that I find all the drama stuff pretty hilarious. I agree its a diffrent pod than it used to be. It once aas all scooter vids and foolish shit to react to. Now with the camera angle front-on outside of the old studio that had a cozy purple couch and not as bright of lighting etc ontop of all the crew (of whome all seem great but def add a diffrent vibe) it's not the same. Still tho I love it. Totally understand not liking it as much tho. It's not for everyone but I find it fun.
