This is my absolute favorite Air Force weapon! If those folks in the Air Force brass still believe that the F-35 can effectively replace this aircraft, they're in need of a full-frontal lobotomy.
Oh, they know it can't. But procuring F35's gets some of those guys, sweet, fat bonuses and creampuff jobs with Lockheed after Air Force retirement. Old story.
I realize that this is a little late (like a year) but if that’s what qualifies as rapid, we’re effed. I loaded Hogs in Suwon ROK in ‘84. We played war often and seriously. I have participated in countless ICTs (integrated combat turnarounds) consisting of 1 tire kicker, 1 fuelie and 2, 3man load crews. Full blown pitstop...we could, under Black flag conditions and in full MOPP gear turn a Hog for its next sortie in less than 30 minutes. Keep’em flyin and keep’em loaded.
I guess the ground crew were careful when rolling the reloading cart up to the aircraft. They didn't want to accidentally hit the plane and damage the cart.
Yeah, the boneyard is actually on the base. I'd drive by it about 4 times a day when I was stationed there. Never got to do the tour though. It didn't seem important then.
What a menacing profile, nothing comes even close to the A-10, affectionately known as, "The Warthog". Other than the fabulous Grumman Tomcat, that is ! Roland Singh, Canada
I love the A-10. I saw one at Wright-Patterson as a teen and even bought the tee-shirt. That being said, the A-10 should be retired in short order. We need to optimize our armed forces for a conflict with China, and in that arena the A-10 is less than ideal.
Love that aircraft, it’s one they should never get rid of.
Watch these everyday in Tucson. AWESOME
I gotta come visit.

High Threat Environment = F-35
Low Threat Environment = A-10

This aircraft is irreplaceable 👍👌
Warthog. A big gun with an airplane built around it.
And I'm completely fine with that concept! 😆

there is nothing on the planet better at air to mud than the A10 💪🏻❤️
Except for the CAS daddy himself, the AC130j
BRRRRRRRRT!!!!
Love this bird!
Nice up close footage!
Miss seeing the A-10s here in Western Massachusetts from the 104th FW...which now fly F-15C/D.....Westfield Massachusetts!
One of the baddest motherfucking weapons ever built. Imagine coming out of your tent in the desert with this thing's Gatlin Gun trained on you.
At that point it would be too late!
It’s basically a Gatling Gun with wings on it 😂
Davis-Monthan....that's right next door to the fabled 'boneyard' I think.
No, it is the "boneyard". Not right next door to it.

Homie jus quoted himself smh

Fantastic footage btw.
All they need to do is update and modernize this aircraft in perpetuity.

Rapid? Think we need to benchmark against a f1 team. 😀
F1 teams aren't loading up the car with high explosive munitions. 😉
F1 team pit crews don't even put fuel in the car let alone high explosives.
@@ginacalabrese3869 I'm guessing that we're all in on the joke mate! 😎
STFU
So, was this "Rapid Rearming" from the afternoon, that night through the next morning?
