Well thank you for doing the experiment. I feel for those who had high expectations. I think since the 90’s Acapulco is not what it was but it looks like a few decades needs to be invested to revive it. Felt horrible for the tour guy when he honestly ask the people did not sugar coat their feelings.
Insane. Sad to see what has become of Acapulco. I remember travelling there every winter with my family when young. We stayed at Las Hamacas Hotel, which was a 10 minute walk to the cruise port. I remember watching the love boat ships (pacific princess and island princess) stopping by each week as part of the itinerary. Sadly, I would never go back due to safety. Very nice video. Thanks for sharing .
That tour was amazing. I mean, yeah, it sounded like a pretty terrible excursion BUT you'll have those stories to tell forever. No one got hurt and you didn't get robbed, so all-in-all it seemed like a really quirky and interesting life experience (and fun to watch). Nice video. Subb'd and upvoted. :)
It's a shame to see this. We were there 7 years ago on a Disney cruise and enjoyed a day of snorkeling and then shopping for local goods (leather products, silver) on the plaza where the ship docked. I was looking forward to going back.
I would not risk it and get off in Acapulco. I’m in shock that NCL even stops there. And wow…that was a mess of a tour. Thanks for showing us why we shouldn’t get off in that one port. Yikes!
Honestly why it’s hard to like other cruise lines outside of carnival. I say that because of the people, a lot of nicer and more optimistic people. You wouldn’t see people just get up and leave, and be rude. It could have been bad but what did you expect??
I bought some theatre money from Amazon and crumpled it up to make it somewhat seem like it was in circulation and fill my decoy wallet 😅 hasn’t been taken yet but hoping that day never comes
The people who left I thought were just rude. What did they think he could do differently? Some places aren't Señor Frog's and Diamonds International. Frankly, I thought it was interesting and different to see how things are.
I felt pretty bad for the guide. He had everything stacked against him and he tried to do everything he could to make the best out of it. If he was a guide who didn't care, he wouldn't have gotten us a bus swap.
@@GoodMorningAdventures Sounds like it. We've had some great guides on stuff like that, but it's the place you are. You have to make the best of the situation. Things aren't always going to be perfect, and that's OK.
I remember as a kid the Cliff divers were or ABC's wild world of sports. It is a shame what has happened to this city. The Corrupt government of the area has caused the Cartels to overtake the area. Happened so quickly.
My wife and I visited Acapulco in the mid-70s. We stayed in a hotel right on the beach. We walked around day and night and felt very safe. Viewing this video explains why so many Illegals come to the U.S. How many Americans or Canadians would sneak into Mexico to escape their respective countries ???

That was sad. Thanks for enduring it for us

Love your shirt! 😉
Thank you!
Very interesting tour indeed but so glad you are safe! What was the result of your decoy wallet? Did it make it back onto the ship?
It made it back to the ship and back home.

Do you think NCL will offer a refund on the excursion or not considering they upcharge for it?
No, I did mention to the excursion desk what happened, but nothing was done.

That's a pretty smart way to do a decoy wallet. I might have to start carrying it everywhere just to see where it finally gets taken.

why even get off? No thank you...I choose life.
I hated Acapulco
