I'd be shocked if Ben Johnson passed on Jeanty at 10 - he's just earned the HC role on the back of a double headed RB attack. Jeanty and Swift with Caleb would create a lot of problems and simplify a lot of stuff for Caleb.
@ Sure, who doesn't. That sounds like a very sophisticated and elaborate plan. You know who the Bears new HC is right? And that Caleb will be his priority? And that an elite RB is a rookie QBs best friend? And that you new HC built his reputation on a two headed backfield? If they need some immediate O Line help, it's more likely to find that in FA. They've drafted 5 O Line players in the last 3 years. So if you won't give rookies a chance to improve, why keep doing that? There are always picks 39, 41, 72....smh.
@@DreyfusLagoon he tore his acl/mcl/ and some other ligaments in a horrible injury 2 years ago and hasn't had any burst, any ability to break tackles, any ability to do anything ever since. I hate to say it, but I think it is a career ending injury, he just gets the ball and goes down on first contact no matter how little it is.
There's no argument for Jeanty going at 22 but then have Tyler Warren at 7 and Malaki Starks at 14. All are seen as less valuable positions and are deep in this draft.
@bradleyalthaus any position outside of special teams and QBs can be as valuable as each other. That doesn't mean on average one position isn't more important than another Justin Jefferson is more valuable to a team than George kittle or Brock Bowers even the comparatively at their positions they are just as good as him.
@bradleyalthaus another argument though is that tight ends seem to bust a ton in the 1st and it tends to be better to get late round tight ends. People usually say that of rb but the best Tight in the league George kittle was a 5th round pick Kelce was a 3rd the best Rbs like CMC, Jahmyr Gibbs, and saquon are 1st.
@ granted i wouldn't say anyone comes close to jefferson. most people don't put up his numbers with one on ones. jefferson does it being doubled minimally every play and often time tripled.
Dolphins will not draft a receiver at number 13 o line man are safety receiver will come like in the third to fort round number 13 d line man o line man are safety
Arizona had James Pearce sitting right there on the board and passed on him. I'd crash out. Pass rush is easily our biggest need and arguably the 2nd best pass rusher in the draft was right there for the taking and we passed on it. Lord have mercy.
The Bears biggest need on the O-line is the interior, Braxton Jones had a PFF of 77. I think the Bears need to trade back if possible, in order to add another pick or two and draft the 2nd best DT in Walter Nolen, then grab a guard like Donovan Jackson.
packers need 3CBs. inside and out. i understand the interior need, but the last time we took idl in the 1st was 2017 for kenny clark. so it depends on if you think harmon was an elite who fell or not. packers 1st round picks target elite WAR positions: QB/CB/T/Edge. DT is not one. seeing the positional value CB would seem the better pick tho i dont have the entire cb board in front of me to see who was still on the board. I'd rather have benjamin morrison over a DT tbh
I'm sorry, but the Ravens have too many glaring needs (interior Oline, edge rush, corner), especially if Stanley doesn't stay for them to go for a TE when Likely is there.
Yeah but Gibbs has the best O line in the league blocking for him. The Bears o line is currently trash. Could it be addressed through free agency? Sure. Ben Johnson would surely like to have Jeanty. But of the o line isn't addressed Poles would never go for it. It would be irresponsible
@ oh 100% agree, and if they spend $$$ in FA on OL help, Jeanty would make more sense. But seems like half the league (my beloved Vikes included) are looking to dump $$$ into OL help
No way Jeanty slides that far. Steelers are letting Najee go, and even if they weren’t, they’d grab Jeanty in a heartbeat. Steelers might even trade Pickens for a 1st/high 2nd, and they’d take a WR as well.
It’s unlikely but it’s definitely possible because of how deep this RB class really is. A lot of teams are gonna evaluate Jeanty compared to some other RBs and realize that even tho he’s a generational RB prospect, the gap between him and the other RBs is smaller than for example the gap between McMillan and the other WRs. Teams that could realistically need him include Cleveland, Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, then the Chargers. All those teams I listed have bigger needs that they need filled than a RB, other than Dallas. But who knows how much they rlly like Dowdle and if they get a defensive minded coach, those guys usually draft defense. So it’s unlikely that he falls the my Chargers, but it’s possible and it’d be absolutely amazing 😁
18:50 people always say this (usually about rb) but it's never true. Just because there's a lot of depth at a position doesn't mean you don't draft a top player where they should go. Last year we had a ton of depth at QB and wr that doesn't mean a team should wait and let good players fall.
I feel like you’re gonna do something stupid like give the NYJs a WR.. when it’s obvious how bad our defense was last year. OK I was wrong but Why the fuck would we take a tight end in the first round? If all of the defensive players are gone, the Jets will trade back and draft an OT to fix the RT position aardvark get more draft capital. There are like 6 to 7. tE prospects in this class. Please stop being irrational.
Not sure about the running backs falling. It’s a weak running back free agency group and an exceptionally strong and deep running back draft class. I think teams will bank on getting new RB1s early is the draft rather than like last year where most went through free agency group
I agree, and I think RB and CB for those first two picks. I think they'll address IOL and IDL in FA. They also have 3 young IDL prospects in development who I think fans are underestimating - Redmond, Taimani and LDR. Flores gave Taimani as many snaps as Turner, and they kept LDR stashed all season, despite only dressing him twice. They did not want to risk losing him off the PS.
Pretty sure Arizona goes pass rusher in round 1; though we do need defensive tackle as well. The Dt depth in this draft is greater than the pass rush depth. They can get a Dt in round 2, but probably not an impact pass rusher.
Anyone believing the Bears will select a RB in the first few rounds is out of touch with reality. They have Swift and Johnson and can get a veteran proven RB with their huge cash surplus.
Will have to look into OT Armand but I’ve been goin with IOL donavon Jackson for the Texans. I think he’d be a solid fit for them. Hopefully he’s there
Miami's offense is built off the running game. They had the 2 worst graded OGs in the league last year. I like Golden, but if you can't block you can't run or pass...
No fucking way Denver passes on Jeanty for a slot reciever that had a down year...They have Mims and Franklin, they have 0 RBs...common man. Absolute madness.
Idk like michigan dt,s havnt paned out in the nfl. I'd rather get a rookie deal with a edge rusher because they are going to command more money if they do well with their second contract to wear a defensive tackle is a pretty nice deal in free agency I do feel defensive tackles in need but not in the first round
I really think it would be stupid for the saints to pass on Will Campbell or kelvin banks or any d lineman instead of another wr we can’t get the ball too
Why on earth would the dolphins take a wr with needs a long the offensive and defensive lines when wide receiver is a strength already, enough of bad Gms like Chris Grier already,we don't need more picking wrong players.
Worst mock I've seen in a while. Sam Williams is coming back and Kneeland was drafted in the 2nd round last year so theyre gonna take a chance on a 3rd round guy with a top 15pick? 😂 ok.
