Totally love this video- just floc’d my pool and hesitating to say I am done vacuuming as It hit too dark and I did not get under my ladder and still see more forming on the bottom. I wanted to run on circulate and cool down the pool overnight but afraid i would stir it up again. Will continue vacuum further. 😅 tomorrow
First year opening pool and I can say flocking your pool is the best thing ever!!! I was so frustrated with my cloudy outcome & could not clear it. One thing though, always vaccum to waste- add water and do it twice after flocking. Great video!
if it’s vacuumed turning the pump to waste it helps- and it’s slow moving Michelle; if it stirs up while vacuuming, stop and give it about 45 minutes to resettle and start again. I hope this helps- it’s frustrating, but it will be worth it once it’s out… I also put the hose in the basket to replace water- it still stirs some but it helps with cloud/debris lift- well wishes🔆
For me, a clarifier and a phosphate remover worked better than flocc, and the filter did the work instead of all the vacuuming! Flocc does work faster though!
I bought this to help me vacuum dead algae at the bottom that just stirs up when i try to vacuum and it goes right through my robotic vacuums filter and blows it right back in the water like dust. I was told it helps the dead algae and small particles clump up and sink. This looks like its just going to do the same thing it always does. How the fuck am I supposed to get this dead algae dust off the bottom of the pool? Edit: OMG! I just realized it when you said you primed the hose on the intake jet. I kept seeing videos saying to have it connected to the pump and put it om waste mode and i dont have a waste mod and the hose I have for a vacuum i bought isn't the right size for the intake jets. But you're not even hooking it up to anything! It's just running on suction and taking the water and algae out and dumping it on the ground! Omg. So many times in this past couple months I have the water crystal clear but there's dead algae just sunk to the bottom and its too fine for my robot vacuums filter and it just blows right through it. This! This is the answer! Thank you thank you thank you! I just did chlorine and shock to kill the algae and brushed it and when it sinks in a couple days I'm gonna vacuum with the robot and brush it all over to stir it up then I'll use flocculant to sink it all and then this is the way I'll get it out! Omg thank you! I've been so frustrated and discouraged. Nothing I do has been working. But now that im progressing the video it seems like you do have it connected to the pump. I'm gonna have to read how to do that. Cause the hose i have wont fit in the intake jet. Its a 2 inch hose and the jet it smaller. Above ground pool problems. I don't know why they would even bother to do something like that. It iust complicates everything.
@@wildwoodtop i figured out how to get it on waste setting. That should get all bigger stuff caught in the basket and then just blow all the sediment and cloudy water the settles to the bottom. Perhaps I'll comment back when its all said and done to tell you how it went. I added a bottle of chlorine and a couple shocks and I'm waiting for the algae to all die. If it won't clear up in a few days I'll try some more shock or perhaps consider an algaecide. The chlorine should do it though it always does. Anyways once all the dead algae settles to the bottom I'm gonna brush the pool to stir it up and add the flocculant. Fingers crossed. God willing it'll work! 🙏
I used the floc last night and today went to vacuum and my vavuum head the little.plastic this broke off and the vacuum hose can go up and down while sutioning so it did stir up lots back up...do i let it sit till this evening and try again? Or wait till tmrw? Right now its 1030am
The jet force from the pool didn’t move around the sand? That happens to me everytime I try to vacuum the waste at the bottom…once I turn the pool on the jet return moves everything around right away making it cloudy again
Initially when priming the vacuum using the water jet I have the jet pointing upward That way the flow of the water doesn't go downward and then I switch to waste. you can see at 4:04 the water is protruding upward out of the water jet
I don’t have a pool I just watch this video on rewind when I go
To sleep you have a relaxing voice lol 😂
Ty! After a much of money on shock and chemicals I should have done this first! Glad I found your video!
You are welcome 👍
You crack me up , but I leaned a lot. ! Thank you 🙏🏽
Thx 😋 You are welcome 👍

Great job son! 👏🏼

How do you vacuum without clouding it up again?
How do I vacuum without causing cloudiness within the first 5/10 min of vacuuming

Just bought some at Lowe’s…thanks for the tutorial!

I must could not agree with you more 👍
Great job 👏🏼 learned more from you then the professionals👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yeah the robotic vac is not designed for small particles. This worked well for me, Just follow the video and you should get the same results 🙂

Wait until the water is clear meaning then the debris will be on the bottom then vacuum to waste 🙂

3:30 would having the vacuum primed and connect after shutting off pump the day prior be better?
Absolutely! That would be ideal
That’s NOICE!
Robert! 🤟
Lmao I like this guy.
😂🤭✌
It's Recycled Dirt 😂
😲 Eww 😲
