I was down for this just being a dedicated dungeon synth machine but I'm realizing a very unique soundset makes for very unique music. Screw the haters that think this is bad.
Thank you so much! I really don't think about myself as a "talented musician" so I appreciate your kind words a lot :) I'm just a hobbyist but as with all art, it's about having fun and expressing yourself (in my opinion at least).
If you really dive in and get to learn the workflows and menus it’s very fast and fun to make tracks. I have a tip, if you sample a high pitched synth note like in the c4 c5 range and then tune the sample back down and put it in keys mode you get really nice polyphonic sounds and chords. Can do it with everything if you want to get a lo fi sound, sample high and then pitch down
Hope you'll have fun! Just stick with it and have a good time. While I'm by no means a very experienced musician, this is not my first sampler, getting used to workflows takes a little bit but you'll get there soon enough if you just enjoy what you're doing. Good luck!
Q. for medieval owners: re user samples - and sample tool app. can you use that to create/edit your OWN multi sampled instruments and set loop points etc? Or is that JUST for the inbuilt ROM samples that ship and sit within the 96mb read only areas of the medieval?
Thanks! Yeah those are all built in samples. The machine has some limits with the groups and effects and stuff (same limits as the old KO II I guess, I never owned it) but it is unique and fun and you can definitely make some nice stuff with it. I'm planning to use it as an external input to my Digitakt so I can have more tracks and more advanced sequencing, that should be fun.

Great and very creative. If you don't have holy hand grenade beware of the rabbit.
That was great! It's really neat seeing what talented musicians can do with unique instruments like this.

Great track. Do you use any effects outside the Medieval or is everything done with just built ins?
@@rethardotv5874 Thanks! A little bit of stereo EQ to widen a little since I recorded in mono and some Ableton mastering preset.
