    This is one of the most perfect scenes in cinema. I've yet to see a scene in a movie, move me as much as this one. It's so much more than the original, which is hard to do anymore with everything being so watered down for general audiences. This scene is supposed to give us sympathy for the devil. It's the whole point of the film, and this one, where as the Fritz Lang classic didn't deal so much with his emotional motivations so much as his mental motivations, this one tells us the whole story, in much less time, with much more impact. This truly was the golden age of American cinema.

    i guess its cool that they provided a backstory (even though pedophiles are born into it) for why he is the way he is but they should have added a lot of the original monologue

    Ya just saw this tonite I thought it was the peter lorrie one but this was good most remakes arnt better but this was good looks like method acting

      @@janitor5850 Wow. I have just became intimidated reading the monologue and watching the scene. Thank you. I'm, gonna work this. I don't think a director today would get this but a good aditution would not require that, Thank yo for this piece.
