Just started to offer some paint enhancements, engine bay detailing, full interior detailing, wheels & arches... But, unfortunately in my country those products are very hard to get.
Apex Detail my son and I are just starting, finally have all the products pads etc....we have 3 test cars. I decided to do it after paying a professional BIG $$$$ to do my mustang. Would I have gotten the same result absolutely not , but I could have enhanced my paint myself. Like the new intro and thanks for always answering my questions.
Dont own my own but I have been working for a nissan deal for 8 years now. Would really like to do it on my own but I dont know how to even go about getting started and what to charge
Excellent video and results as usual. That amount of correction is perfect for 99% of the cars out there. There is no need to chase perfection on a daily driver.
Cool intro. Oddly enough, I get darn good results with ex 0406 with an orange pad as a 1 step. I also once finished down m105 with a uro fiber pad so well I skipped the polishing step in some areas. The key is to keep those pads clean.
Thumbs up on the intro.👍 I think I'm biased to Sonax because I use and have a lot of they're products. 03/06 is a good middle of the pack polish. Nice for a one step on a DA with orange foam pad to improve gloss, get rid of light swirling. Lambo came out nice!👌
Cool new intro, nice graphics! I do my own and a few friends and family’s motors, bit of a hobby really over here in the UK 🇬🇧. Mind you I have a friend with a F430 that’s covered in dust and needs doing, maybe I can borrow it for the day after!!
I picked up a CEM DT-156 depth meter. So far works really well with ferrous and non-ferrous. I got it for 129.99. After calibrating it it's awesome. Also found out my 98 f-150 has an aluminum hood. Tells you if it's FE or nonFE metal. Directions completely in Chinese. Lol but I found a set in English in internet. Measures is mils or microns. So far I'm happy with it!!! My truck read 4.5 mil which from my research was stock thickness so I'll be cutting it this summer. Nice little practice truck :-)
Please please please test Renew protect RP.08!!! Thanks for the video b, keep up the good work. I've been looking for other options for some clients that don't want a full blown coating but would love to have some gloss and at least annual coating protection/characteristics. I've utilized Essence but protection of course only lasts a few weeks.
Another great video Brian, i love the 50/50 pads. I blow the pad out before reloading more compound but i find it cuts better than microfiber pads and finishes awesome as well. Personally, my favorite abrasives are Sonax Cutmax and Perfect Polish, and i also use the Angelwax polish for that final paint cleaning. I can't say enough about the 50/50 pads and i am just using a Torq 10fx. I am looking forward to breaking out my new baby flex rotary.
my wife is about to divorce me. I get home from work before her and she catches me on my laptop watching apex videos. Blame Brian. On a positive note, I detail our cars from what I've learned here.
Another great video again Brian , I'm a big fan of the rotary myself , it gets a bad rep over here in the UK . I wouldn't use another type of polisher now .
The mini rotary is getting pretty popular but beginners are being pushed towards Da's and forced rotation machines . I jumped straight in and got myself a rotary a few years ago and got some fantastic tuition of some professional detailers and from there was no going back to a DA . I think I may try my mini rotary with bigger pads now after seeing the success you have with yours . Great content in your videos , keep up the good work .
You spoke about the pads used. Do you have an entire video on pad selection based on what material you're using and the level of scratches and swirl marks to be removed (and maybe the type of paint). Mainly the pads though...
I enjoy watching your videos! I am a beginner and have a 2012 BMW 535i that I would like to do some paint correction. Do you have any advice on how to begin to correct swirls and minor defects?
Hello how are you? I'm new to the channel. I am a hobbyist, I just bought my first roto orbital polisher for personal use. I would like to know if this product is better or the same as the 04/06 and the perfect finish from the Sonax brand, or if they are rather complements. I would like to buy this 03/06 nano polish to then apply a ceramic coating. Would it be a good idea or would I need to apply another type of polish? At the moment my car has scratches and defects similar to those in the video. Thank you very much in advance and sorry for the inconvenience caused, greetings.
Brian, 2 questions. what percent is your ipa wipe down that you consider safe to use. 2nd do you use any body paint prep and if so which kind do you recommend.
Is it feasible to use the maxshine 3in rotary as your only machine pairing it up with 1, 2, 3, 5 inch pads? I currently have a harbor freight DA and was looking at the mashine m15pro and their 3in 12mm orbit but your recent video on their rotary intrigued me.
Regular PF works very well with a DA. Better than 04-06, IMO. It wipes ff easier and finishes better. PF uses more refined abrasives than 04-06, hence, the higher price tag.
Great job i used that marine qp on that you recommend on my boat man at first when I put it on I just thought damm I wasted my money boy I was wrong it seemed it took longer to cure a week later damm it’s looks better now 9 years later then the day I bought it thanks 🙏 and also I’m in real lake Ponchatrain water in la and it’s cleans so easy
Besides being one number down on cut, what's the difference between this and 04-06? I also don't know what EX means. NP means nano polish but no idea what that means. I'm just starting to research sonax and I wish they had a straight to the point explanation lol
Hi Brian! Big fan of your channel. My business partner and I just opened our new shop in northern neck of virgina. Would like to talk to you about some of the products you use. Especially qp on and sonax. Have you ever heard of Zanio Brothers?
Nice car bit I don’t like the color. Sonax seems to do a good job. Never used their line, I use mostly Meguiar’s, D151 for one step sometimes 205 gets called up as well. Tw step gets 105, 205 most of the time. I just try to keep it simple get to know the characteristics and pads then get the job done. I only detail part time on weekends mostly word of mouth and friends cars. Round out services with PDR, headlight service, interior detail (least favorite) and that’s about it.
Very nice video sir, i jsut saw on the local distributor that he started import the 03-06 in retail prise of 42 euros. I am.confused sometimes.with sonax numbers in profiline series......... if their claim is real that......it cuts 3 and gloss 6 in their scale.......why someone buy this.product and not the ex 04-06, or the perfect finish 04-06??????? Why this product even exsist IF ...their claims for their scale for cut/gloss is real..........................
@@apexdetail85 yes but.....the 04-06 in my country...costs 40euros!!!!! 2 less than the 03-06!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahah it is not the 2euros cheaper but as you said....the unneseserynes if so many products
How many of you are just starting a detailing business...or just starting to take care of your own ride?
Weekend warrior right here.
Just started to offer some paint enhancements, engine bay detailing, full interior detailing, wheels & arches... But, unfortunately in my country those products are very hard to get.
Mostly my own cars but I’ve done some for family and friends.

Thanks Brian for giving your honest review at the end.
Absolutely!!
That car is awesome. Nice job Brian! These videos are appreciated more then you know! Thank you!
The car is fantastic but for one drawback...the over hang over the front clip.
Sick new intro! Your talents are numerous sir.
Thanks you for the kind words...just a bit of experience,,,that is all.
A perfect way to end a Friday 😎 thanks again Brian for the awesome content!
My pleasure!
I love your new entry video Brian!
Thanks Toby!
You’re the man Brian! Beautiful work, beautiful car. I love 3D One, it’s awesome with the Uro-pad.
Gorgeous Spider. I love 3D One as well.👍
Nice touch showing us the compound on that black surface
It's in the details!🙂
Excellent video and results as usual. That amount of correction is perfect for 99% of the cars out there. There is no need to chase perfection on a daily driver.
I completely agree.👍
I noticed the new intro as well, good gracious its had getting stuff here in Maui. Maxshine won't ship from Amazon , Sonax i have no issue
Really !!! That SUCKS!
Nice!!!! New intro 💪 been waiting on this video been seeing pictures on your Facebook

Hope the vids help a bit!🙂
Really excited for your gloss meter review!!!💖💖💖
In the works!👍

I enjoy them as well...but could do without 03...and 04.
Always informative video’s without the Drama !
Absolutely!👍
Sweet intro!
Thanks!

Hello brian…. How is it going? Have a nice week and thanks for the library
Awesome intro! ...but I wouldn't expect anything less from the Apex!
Awe SHUCKS!!!😊
looking forward to see Malco tru-grit heavy duty compound in the mix one day ,learning a lot from you sir keep em coming. and nice intro BRIAN.
I shall look into it.👍
Really like the new opening graphic.
Thanks!!

Apex Detail can't thank you enough brother, you've blessed me and thousands over 2 years now
I would have the front bumper all torn up! That overhang!!
Me too!
Always wondered when perfect finish and 03-06 have the same cut levels and finish levels on the bittles why perfect finish costs so much more?
Great video...and intro!
Thanks!

nice new intro..great video just seems 2 call a little short.b well good friend 🍻🍻
It is ok...average at best.
You spoke about the pads used. Do you have an entire video on pad selection based on what material you're using and the level of scratches and swirl marks to be removed (and maybe the type of paint). Mainly the pads though...
I think I have a pad selection video. I will look.
Sonax 04-06 with a rupes foam or wool polish pads............ excellent result
Nice video, I have a question for you sir, how would you compare the sonax perfect finish to the griots version of it. Thanks!
I enjoy watching your videos! I am a beginner and have a 2012 BMW 535i that I would like to do some paint correction. Do you have any advice on how to begin to correct swirls and minor defects?
I do like and rate those 50/50 pads with a good AIO.
Absolutely!!

Not sure where this fits in the Sonax line? I'd pick perfect finish over this any day of the week. Thanks for the video.
Yeah...I really dont think it was a necessity.
Brian, 2 questions. what percent is your ipa wipe down that you consider safe to use. 2nd do you use any body paint prep and if so which kind do you recommend.
25 percent. I use two panel prep products. IGL Precoat and Gyeon prep...both fantastic.
Absolutely...I use all of those backing plates with the 550. It handles them all with ease.
Sonax says 04-06 is Perfect Finish formulated for the DA. What difference between the two have you noticed Brian?
Regular PF works very well with a DA. Better than 04-06, IMO. It wipes ff easier and finishes better. PF uses more refined abrasives than 04-06, hence, the higher price tag.
PF finishes down better, easier to wipe off on certain clears.

Absolutely...Yeah...dont judge until each product id fully cured. Makes a world of difference.
Sweet F355! That paint was ROUGH! Who lets it get that bad?!
It was a bit roughed up!😮
Besides being one number down on cut, what's the difference between this and 04-06?
I also don't know what EX means. NP means nano polish but no idea what that means.
I'm just starting to research sonax and I wish they had a straight to the point explanation lol
Brian will the uro pads and a compound like polish Angel remove a coating?
Spray coating...or 9H pro coating?
Opticoat pro to be specific, had a repair done on my car and need to chase the repairer marring through out - and correct all the repainted panels
Did u ever try PolishAngel?
Can i use the sonax profiline 03 06 with my hand and a sponge to polish my car?
For some reason; the more tools you introduce, the more discouraged I become. I have a long way to go. Seems I'll never get there. Great job!
Can you olease tell me difference betwenn 03-06 and 02-06?
Hi Brian! Big fan of your channel. My business partner and I just opened our new shop in northern neck of virgina. Would like to talk to you about some of the products you use. Especially qp on and sonax. Have you ever heard of Zanio Brothers?
Heard of it...not sure I have tried anything. You ca email me anytime...miragebjs@yahoo.com
Hey Brian, how do you prime the uro fiber
I spray some Angelwax QED on it before adding compound.
So, why not use the 04- 06?
Cutmax and a medium polishing pad, perfect finish soft polishing pad do better
I completely agree.
Nice car bit I don’t like the color. Sonax seems to do a good job. Never used their line, I use mostly Meguiar’s, D151 for one step sometimes 205 gets called up as well.
