I found this soooo interesting! Thank you for sharing, I love history and spirituality - so it's really interesting to delve into native beliefs that are still carried on in today's day-to-day life! I hope you get better soon; sending all the love, purple healing light, and positive vibes your way missy!
Im from Minnesota! This information was great. Thank you. When I was in 6th grade we went on a week retreat in Duluth with natives and learned how to make dream catcher using wood. We harvested and made wild rice and other great stuff. This is where I leaned the wolf was my spirit animal. it was such a great experience.
Amazing information! Thank you for sharing all you've learned and I'm so glad I found your channel. I've made dream catchers for years and you've been a wonderful inspiration for me to do more. Get well soon sweet lady 💜
Thanks, that was informative! I also have that blanket. It is the cat's favourite, so I cut and sewed it into 4 pieces so he can have a piece of it all around the house. Lol.
You are such a beautiful honourable soul. Thank you that was so good to watch and understand on a deeper level the importance of history and dreamcatchers xo
So much spectacular history behind these gorgeus masterpieces✨✨✨❤ The last part was my favourite . Your soul in your every word. Respect for you, your work and your dreams 😘 hope they all will come true . You deserve it . Thank U , beautiful heart 😊
Kim, I very much enjoyed this video. I love the history of Native Americans. Thank you for the education of the Dream Catcher. I love to hear more. I just love your videos. I’m going to join your FB group. Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I have adored dream catchers for decades, made a few of my own. I keep delving into making more and then life distractions! I am now just becoming interested in the webbing and meaning. I have admired your designs and I am even more pleased to find this informative video. Thank you so much 🌀🥰
This is so interesting, I was familiar with dream catchers but never gone more in depth of where and why they became. In fact I became more fond on them as I can see something similar in the night sky with the naked eye. I could never explain what it is I see and this is definitely something very similar. I can't really say it is exact as the figure has a spining motion. Sometimes fast and sometimes slow but never slow enough to make out it's shapes and figures.
A great and ethical way to get feathers is to contact people who own ornamental fowl farms and they can pick up naturally dropped feathers. This will also mean you get only usable feathers because they cannot own or possess birds of prey or protected species...only rehabilitation centers for wildlife can...and they know if a hawk, etc has attempted to enter their huge enclosures they dispose of those feathers appropriately...great meet in the middle. It works out for me to gain new colors from amazing ornamental breeds of birds and be 100% ethical. :). I’m Cherokee and scots Irish from Appalachia.
I've notice people, mostly women, who get dream catcher tattoos are always negative or just a mess in life. As someone that is a quarter native American, I refuse to use any relic that have came from my people. My main reason is the slaughter and the disgusting acts done to them. Imagine doing everything negative towards a group of people and then trying to cash in or use their old relics. I think dream catchers bring bad luck to anyone that isn't Native American, because they are most likely descendants of people who murdered their people. Sigils and relics like these have power and most of us just use them freely because they look" cute" or they're "cool". Thank you for the exploring the history of this.
Awesome!!!! I'm very impressed how you did your research. I myself follow the native American path. Much love , peace and respect to you my gorgeous lady !!!!!
Beautiful representation of dreamcatcher knowledge. You have a soul full of light and it shines through. Thank you for the credible information and links to allow us to do our own research💜🕸 💜
I wonder if there are any Pacific Islander tribes that got ahold of the dream idea and symbolized the web to mean not a spider's web, but a fishing net?
I had nightmares for a week or more as a child....I'm very non religious and a doubting Tom if you will.... a dream catcher was put In my room without my knowledge... I only learned about it's recent placement after explained to my gardians.. grandparent... I stopped having nightmares... then they told me waht that spiderweb purple/blue yarn decoration was... I do believe they work... they stopped my nightmares before I even knew it existed
4:45 ya that does happen tradition and culture is shared by marriage, my aunt married a native American or "Turtle islander" Indigenous man and learned the ways of his people, most of my relatives married/mixed into different cultures conglomerate and incorporate then the next generation has mixed traditions, my generation are among who have a mixed heritage tradition of different types of cultures all around the world, the sides that don't have any traditions or cultures it is because Their parents decided to not teach what ever they do have to them, Unfortunately since Mexicans Aztecatl descent are so far from any of our native roots we don't have anything but blood from them, but we still have interest in learning, possibly some weaving styles and exchanges Our ancestors played role in long ago maybe before we were divided and turtle island and Aztlan were at one point one people,
Sweetheart. You don’t have to earn it, if you feel the need for one then you deserve one. If you can’t afford a fancy one you can buy yarn or fishing line at the dollar store. You can use anything circular as a hoop, cut out the middle of a paper plate or spend a dollar or two on an embroidery hoop at Walmart. It doesn’t have to be pretty it’s the intention that counts and as you get more money or you feel you need a change of direction you can always replace it or add to the one you’ve made. To help with the figures burn sage to clean your space and sweet grass to bring in beauty and positivity. Hang your dream catcher over your bed and the more positive thoughts and dreams you have around it the more positive your outlook and life will become.
Or a bendy stick can be tied in a loop. Sorry if I went full native on you XD I just don’t want anyone to think they’re not good enough or rich enough to own a dream catcher. You are. Everyone is.
SpookyBur Thank You so much i will go there to get one to make me one so I can make it and I will go their when I get my allowance like 30 or 20 but Thank You so much 😊
The old lady saw the power ... But had wrong materials to copy with ... Used what was at hand to copy the power it creates . She copied technology to art form to remember the power it creates. Not a tree of life , but a tree of light .
Ohh this is so wrong . The tree of life and the dream catcher . Won’t work due to faulty wiring. It’s also disk drive . The tree of life is actually a tree of energy due to the windings of wire and not string art . The dream catchers of today don’t function because of string art and not copper wires . The feathers represents sparks of energy . I recognize hidden technology in the form of art . Try replacing leather with brass . Try replacing string with coated copper wires .Try replacing beads with lead pellets . It’s through very high revolutions as kinetic energy is created through the Center hole .. The tree of light grows ...
Nice story. However, it is a cargo cult... These are bio resonators. Made of appropriate materials and in the right scale. Operate on the principle of neutralization of aggressive environmental effects, by ectromagnetic fields and radiation of broadband frequencies and amplification of the user's electric field. Simply put, they ward off diseases and stimulate the body's growth.

I know married to my husband for over 20yrs. I got to know their ways. And I'm a native.
I wonder if there are any Pacific Islander tribes that got ahold of the dream idea and symbolized the web to mean not a spider's web, but a fishing net?
Or are their fishing nets inspired by spiders webs too???

Hello... Breaker 1 9.
The year is 1883.
It has " special powers ".
It is technology hidden in art
It doesn't work correctly due to ( faulty wiring.)
