    Movements III and IV have the same light energetic playfulness and jovial vivaciousness as Ottorino Respighi‘s score for the 1919 ballet “The Magic Toyshop” (La Boutique fantasque), or Rimsky-Korsakov‘s 1900 fun little piece, “Flight of the Bumblebee”.
    I always appreciate when composers like this or others like Camille Saint-Saëns with parts of his suite “Carnival of the Animals” add something like this to their oeuvre, even if some of them are embarrassed by them in their lifetimes (as Saëns was with Carnival sadly).
