Wow, i bought the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens in year 2016 and just realised I can update the firmware and adjust the focus and OS to suit my shooting style. thank you for the tutorial, very helpful.
Really nice tutorial: methodical and well-paced. Also, you spoke very clearly: together, it made for a solid lesson. Just subscribed! Thanks from the US.
And this could simplify a lot the autofocus settings : we set the focal, focus on an object at a certain distance , modify manually ( far more easy than the cursor mode « offline » ) until right focus with the magnifier functions of the live view, and we store it in memory… this will take less than2 minutes .for the 4 focals of a zoom at a distance so the full customization will take 10minutes instead of more than one hour….
I never knew this existed WOW! I have a Sigma 150-600 lense for my Nikon this is amazing information Is there a link to calibrate the 150-600 for best results I mainly do Air show events and wildlife. Thank you so much for the tutorial
I'd like to see something from Sigma. that shows any camera that can be connected to any lens. Example Canon 70D canon 90D on a Sigma 60 to 600 DG OS HSM sports x10 . It seems when I add the dock nothing happens? There doesn't seem to be enough information about this lens or cameras used with this lens??
I am finding that, often when I am photographing wildlife, my Sigma 150-600 C will "hum" or "sing." This seems, to me, to be the focus making micro adjustment quickly. Would I be able to use this dock to adjust this out? (Shooting a Canon 5D iv)
Is the dock necessary for lens updates if I have a Sony camera? I see instructions on thr Sigma site that mentions that i can use the camera itself as a dock by setting the USB connection to Mass Storage. However, the Sigma update software doesnt find the lens to update it. Is it possible to update Sigma lenses with just the Sony camera?
does the dock and software fork with the sigma 24-70mm 2.8? I don't see that lens listed but that's the lens I have and it needs a focus adjustment and is having issues with the OS.
The SIGMA USB Dock is compatible with the SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 lenses. If you are using a SIGMA DSLR lens you would use the SIGMA UD-01 USB dock 🔗 www.sigma-global.com/en/accessories/usb-dock-ud01/ If you are using a mirrorless lens in either L-Mount or Canon EF-M mount you would use the SIGMA UD-11 USB Dock 🔗 www.sigma-global.com/en/accessories/usb-dock-ud11/ Please note that we do not produce a USB dock for SIGMA lenses in Sony E-mount. If you are having issues with the OS on your lens, we would advise contacting your local authorised SIGMA subsidiary first to troubleshoot your issue 🔗 www.sigma-global.com/en/corporate/world-network/
Hello Marczera, We do not currently make a USB Dock for SIGMA lenses in Sony E-mount. Firmware updates and customizable AFL buttons can be updated and changed directly through compatible Sony E-mount cameras.
Thank you for your question! The time it takes to reset a lens to default may vary depending on the connection to the SIGMA servers and how many settings need to be reset. If the time taken to reset your lens is consistently long, please contact your local SIGMA distributor for technical support. www.sigma-global.com/en/corporate/world-network/
Regrettably we do not produce a USB dock for SIGMA lenses in Sony E-mount. However, you are able to update the lens firmware through the camera body. Compatible Sony cameras also allow button configuration changes within the cameras menu.
I couldn't watch in one session, the music causes insanity. It is a pity that you have to test shoot at each setting [16] several times to test any changes. My 120-300 sucks on the Canon R5 is there likely to be a firmware upgrade that will sort this, or does it rest with Canon!
My question is why do I have to buy a dock to update firmware for a lens I bought? Should of come with the lens.

Why can't you guys just add a usb type c slot somewhere on the lens?

Thanks for this tutorial on the Sigma Contemporary lens and and the Sigma Sport lens. 1/25/2025
I bought the doc to customize the button on an L-mount 85mm & 35mm f1.4 Art. However, the customization button is deactivated in the firmware program
Well you just saved me $60😂 I have L mount as well and was about to buy this dock to customize the buttons.
@@Nocturnal_Mind The only think you can do is to update their firmware wich you can also do with your SD card under the menu.
Very good lesson . thank you for the tutorial, very helpful.
What type of USB cable is that? I've misplaced the one that came with it.
Of the 3 , What auto focus settings are best for filming music singers ?

Can the 150-600 Sport be updated via the camera with the S5IIX? Thank you.
The Autofocus setting is only available for lenses with C1 and C2 buttons?
