Thank you for the Current Year trick for Copyright! That had been driving me crazy! Also, I'm so glad that custom headers and footers are possible. It allows SO MUCH MORE creativity!
At 4:42 you centered the button, but then the text centered itself as well. Mine did not do the same. ⠀ At 4:04 you changed the "max width" for text to 700px. When I set this to "none", my text was again centered. Is there a reason it needs to be 700px? Did you do something else around 4:25 that I missed? ⠀ Thanks, this is helping a lot
How did you do that at 4:26? What did you do to align the "Excited to get started?" text in the middle? I did everything according to the video but that text is still at the left. The video cuts off at 4:26 for a second and suddenly both the button and the text are aligned perfectly in the middle.
He cut the video after he fixed it somehow. If I center it does not go to the actual center. If you click align right, then it does. Something is missing there.
an updated version would be awesome. When I click the green plus to make a text bar the background is white. I'm sure things have changed in the backend
Does anyone know how to make the bottom portion, the part with the equal columns for links, etc., not as tall? I would like to make it a bit shorter, and I am struggling with it within Divi.
Hello all. If I make a footer in the builder with divi it shows up in the middle of the page. What I do wrong? How I make it that it's always on the bottom of every page? Thank you.
another question is what should be tuned up to actually receive messages from the contact form if you use it in the global footer or somewhere? I created one but it shows a strange error message as if not all fields are filled out but they are.
Hi I followed the Global Header video and now the Global Footer video. I downloaded both JSON files. I can successfully import one to my website but when I go to import the other, the installation process removes the first. I can either install the Global Footer OR the Global Header but not both at the same time. Can you give any help on this? Thanks.
Sorrry but i am new to divi and wordpress😅, I downloaded the .Json file from blog but when I am trying to import the son file it says "This file should not be imported in this context. " Can someone please suggest me where and how to import this son file?
I have started over twice following the instructions to letter and when I get to the part where I have to add a text module on the second section the dpacing in the module only allow for one letter per row. Now are you wrong or am I wrong?
I like your video, you created the global footer, but you also created Excited to get Started, I am confused, is it part of the footer, I would like to create a global footer without the excited to get started,
Thanks , Dear Mak , I made 2 menus for 2 Languages , English is LTR , on mobile & tablet view are looking correct , but for Lanquage with RTL direction "mobile and tablet" menu direction is on the left side instead of right side. I didn't find any code to fix them. What can we do if we have 2 menus in 2 differenet lanquages (RTL and LTR).
You added 6vw top *and* bottom to top section. So, there's *no* way the "Customers/About Us/Further Info" section could snuggle up to the bottom of the top section.
Hi Princy! 😃 You can download the Footer layout from this article and import a ready one on your website: www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/how-to-create-a-custom-footer-with-divis-theme-builder If you still have questions, please, create a ticket with the Support Team : www.elegantthemes.com/members-area/
thank you for the tutorial! Q1: is it possible to create a global footer and then tweak it on particular pages? you'd have to create separate on each page? Q2: how can you set up receiving messages from contact forms to a particular email and what kind of message people receive if it is an auto-reply (confirmation)?
@@zdenkozec thank you, I could not figure out on my draft website how to make the form active (haven't tried the plugin yet). Will look for a video tutorial.
When are you going to finally explain to people WHY you keep using pixel, vw , percent, em and so on ???? Not everyone is an expert and you switching and stating using all these variations is confusing without any explanation from you.
Here's my personal preference: pixels for small specific elements (padding/margin for fonts, etc) | vw for sections and rows that need to look different on tablets/phones | em for font sizes. Whenever I'm in doubt, I just use pixels. There's no rule, it's just personal preference
Hello Jatindra! 👋 Yes, it responsive 😊You can check the Mobile view in this article: www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/how-to-create-a-custom-footer-with-divis-theme-builder

Your content is amazing and helps me so much as I'm new on Divi. I like the other videos too. Great explanation, great design and great energy.

I am wondering this as well. I think he just reset it to max width.
I ended up changing the module alignment to correct it. I was wondering the same too.
yep just skipped this bit, dont bother with max width 700px on the heading text, apply to module only both text and button are inside it
yes not text box the module the 2 elements sit in @@CRinderknecht
4:24 magically the heading text got centered...... (after that 700px change) you can notice a video edition there....
Always love watching you build a web page, great stuff! Thank you.

Cool! Great tutorial, as usual!
Hi, i added a new page after creating my footer but the footer isnt appearing in the newly created page, what can i do to fix this, please?

I can’t get rid of a huge white gap between the footer and the previous section. Why? I tried everything and nothing works
my footer is sticking to the right bottom of the page rather than full width like yours. How do I make it full width?

Can you please tell me how to give page links to this menus ?
its overlaping bottom credits bar ?
Just curious - What if you wanted it global for every page except 1 (or 2 etc) ?
@15:50 how the h-e-double hockey sticks do you get spacing between the icons? padding and alignment dont work.
I'm sorry can you elaborate your question? 😄
Gutter width makes spaces between them
I cannot add a dynamic text to my footer. This is not an option in the list of options. How can I proceed further now?

Very Thank-you Respected sir.
thank you for the tutorial! Q1: is it possible to create a global footer and then tweak it on particular pages? you'd have to create separate on each page?
Q2: how can you set up receiving messages from contact forms to a particular email and what kind of message people receive if it is an auto-reply (confirmation)?
A2: You have to use a plugin called "Contact Form 7". All the settings are done through the plugin interface.
A1: Add custom template. They can be page specific.
He lost me there as well, he did something without mentioning what he did.

Great TUT! Thanks MAK
How to change the position of a copyright in divi word press
Learned a great deal. However, I need to have RSS feeds in my footer rather than menus, so would love to learn about doing that. Thank you again.

Thanks man.

Yeah! I also want to know that..
I found out that I had to watch and re-watch with pad and pen, rewind and all that. Sometimes I follow as much as I can.
Here's my personal preference: pixels for small specific elements (padding/margin for fonts, etc) | vw for sections and rows that need to look different on tablets/phones | em for font sizes.
Whenever I'm in doubt, I just use pixels.

you can use any of them depending on what you want

Hi, did you solve this? I can't see that option either
Super !!!

This is not a good idea to create to a footer menu.
