Dragonflight Season 4 is well under way and we have a lot more numbers to look at! The 10.2.7 ranged dps tier list in m+ is made by analyzing warcraft logs and archon.gg and we strive to be as subjective as possible with it!
10.2.6 Season 4 brought all the Dragonflight dungeons with it and we already know that some ranged dps will do great in specific dungeons and terrible in others and it’s not always about pure damage numbers. Hey man, great video. I've been watching you for quite some time, i believe we are both from Brasov, might've spotted you on Calea Bucuresti or i am soo wrong. Buuut my point would be, can you do a tier list for the noobs like me and probably a huge part of the community? I mean people running keys between +5 - +12-13 maybe? Not the MDI level players. As I believe it is different for the not so skilled majority :). Keep up the good work though, lots of love.

Demo lock is much better than destro lock in pugs simply demo lock AoE doesn't required the group to play around your AoE

Honestly, most of the specs at the lower ranks can do some serious pumping in keys from my own experience. It's just not meta in the highest keys being completed. I've hit 1 million dps at times with affliction in keys and often am top dps with the spec in most of my groups. Sure there are times where other specs are more successful, but at the end of the day the best spec is the one you enjoy the most. They are all competitive in terms of achieving the average player's goals

If I’m correct it means that you “funnel” your damage into one enemy to deal AOE damage to a pack.
A funnel is a tube or pipe that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, used for guiding liquid or powder into a small opening. Take that concept into wow, you basically use AOE to increase your single target. Elemental shaman for instance can put up more flame shocks on more targets increasing the Lava Surge procs dealing more damage to one target since it has more instant Lava Bursts

@@salohcinyeliw4086 not exactly, it’s the opposite. Funnel is having more single target damage when you have more mobs. As the content creator said, having more mobs, allows for more flame, shocks for elemental shaman, meaning more lava surge procs, meaning more target on a specific enemy. This is valuable to a lot of packs when one mob has much more HP than the rest, in some instances one mob being much more deadly than others, so getting it out-of-the-way quickly is beneficial.

If you watched all the footage of everything hes got a lot of old footage. one of them had "winter subs" on it. so likely its something he had in the 1000TB footage hard drive they have lol

@@johernandez266sadly you are not correct sir. Spike replaces mind flay (ST) mind sear for us is gone, which is indeed a shame. Only the tentacles still do that 😊

Most of this isnt surprising, i will say though as im maining shadow, since moving to my season 4/2 tier my damage has dropped significantly, mainly in aoe ... i honestly dont get why i assumed it was more of a build up and obv its tyran week my first time trying the tier but i did a higher key where things stay alive longer and its still a massive damage loss from last week with season 3 tier hmm maybe its just me i duno but im not feeling very S tier right now as shadow
Demonology is fantastic right now. Insane AOE, and extremely strong ST for bosses etc, combined with excellent survivability.
For pugging you just don't find many DPS better than Demo. Destro obv outperforms in coordinated big AoE pulls but in PuG settings with pulls of all sizes Demo is just so dang good.

@@MasteryGuns I'm a melee guy to the core but shadow seems to be the only one which could be interesting to seriously try out I wish there was a shadow melee class (preferably plate) or something like that 🤣
General rotation (without Void Form):
- Maintain Vampiric Touch and Shadow Word: Pain
- Use Devouring Plague every time it's available. Literally re-use it on the same mob if you have enough sanity, because when you re-cast it on the same mob, the damage ADDS UP to the previous Devouring Plague
- Spam Mind Blast and never allow it to reach 2 stacks
- Use Shadow Word: Death when it procs
- Use the improved Mind Flay/Mind Spike when available (from casting 2 Devouring Plagues I believe)

Whenever I play with an aff in 8-10 dungeon they are way on top of DPS. Everyone around 300k DPS. Aff sitting at 550...
300k is top in a 10? That seems awfully low for even the lower level of key.
Crazy how most statements you made about the rankings are completely opposite amongst our guild running 10’s. I know you looking at the highest of keys, but it’s crazy how our Dev Evokers, BM hunters and Demo Locks are blasting in raid and in keys.
I think its not about that they cant blast just that other classes played by good players can blast more, thats the Stors of my Life as a Shaman :D I do dmg and not bad but damn dont compare me to Shadow Priest :D
10's are different than the meta. meta is talking about 16+ keys where things live much longer. you guys are also pulling different than how the top players are pulling
its never the class its the guy behind the keyboard, ive seen people playing resto druid and sucking at it
@@Catdaddy836that’s not what meta is, there’s different metas for each type of difficulty in the game. Just like there’s metas in low elo and high elo in actual competitive games. Just because fire, shadow and destro are amazing in high keys doesn’t mean they’ll be just as good in lower keys where most people play. Casual/mediocre m+ players are the worst because of this reason, they think they know the meta but they don’t even know why certain specs perform well in high keys, keys that they don’t even play and probably never will. You can do up to 15-16’s as any spec in the game.
@@ghozter1 no theres only one meta. if you google m+ meta its always the same correct? because people only care about the highest levels of play.
Funny to see that meta is for 95%+ ppl complete different than u see in those videos... affli and hunters are by far the best range till mythic10-12. Especially if u are taking random ppl is always safe to take hunter instead of fire mage or shadow priest. And affli burst aoe or academy dmg is crazy, destro in low keys is not even close
An AFF got into my +10 and absolutely cranked with seeds of corruption. That SHH is broken I swear lol
Any spec can pop off in lower m+ we talking pushing for the rank1 specs and aff is 2-3 lvls below other specs and not even close to pushing +20s yet

It just puzzles me how Affliction can be so bad in Mythic when it has really good AoE abilities. They need to include talents that speed up the ticks of the DoTs or something so it can really pump a lot of damage in a short window.

It's not, it's just very clunky compared to other lock specs without any meaningful dps gain. So people don't actually play affliction, and this pushes the statistics down.
Also, in very high keys with coordinated groups you will ALWAYS want Destro, with the way the spec is designed, but in other environments, like lower keys or pubs affl will perform just fine.

Start from level one and take your time works for me learning a new class or spec. And read your talents.
It’s not too hard.. I’ve mained priest since I WOTLK. It just takes time and it’s a very unforgiving class rotation wise. But once you get it… lawd those meters are so satisfying

They do tho. In high keys, their prio damage is the reason keys are timed. Do they have lower overall damage, yes. But their ability to funnel ST damage into a target while still cleaving with ignite means the "bad" mob in a pack dies faster, saving the healer and tank from having to deal with it. They're the best at this by a long shot.

No it's not near the bottom. Play with them in a 12+ plus, they pump. Destro, shadow, boomie all suck when mobs don't live long enough to ramp or low keys like 8-10.

Man what happened to assassination rogue? It was one of the top DPS, if not the top DPS in Amirdrassil. I took a break and came back in season 4 and now it is literally the worst DPS spec in the game. What happened??

Do yall average bigger pulls I'm a pvp player and aff just does a lot of rot damage wondering if it's the same in pve.
Affliction is weak, you say 100% (the best in the word) parse and it did like 20-25% less damage than the spriest who did not play even close to top parse.

Your right. Top 5 range dps easily, even better in low keys just like the pally. Both start to suck around 12-14 where you can't keep up with destro and shadow. Until then it tops the meters easily with even a decent hunter.

Hunter's are among the best damage for AOE the thing that keeps them down in B tier is that they are squishy AF outside shamans and druids hunters are the worse at being able to stay alive in 12+ keys. But in terms of AOE hunters are definitely among the best I've only seen Locks and hunters do over 5 million on the AA first boss room when you pull it all and got a lust going. Sadly damage isn't what makes or breaks keys any more especially in this season it comes down to survival which hunters lack outside externals from others. (Not sure how much my word carries only got 3200 last season and 3k currently this season.)
I never understood the logic behind Blizzard's decisions when it comes to nerfing/buffing specs... They almost never seem to make sense to me. I read some stuff like plus 3% damage to a certain ability... Which obviously does ABSLOLUTELY NOTHING! Same with the Affli Lock buffs now. You're buffing a class to make it perform better right? And after the buffs... it doesn't! 😂😂

Im and MM main and im doing 900k single target burst down to 500k full tryan boss, and 2.8million on trash pulls.

Arcane can do it well but is more difficult then frost or fire aoe and mage is the low class in dps and more difficult play compared other classes low defence trash cc mages definetly need a buff
Honestly, I don't think Augmentation evoker deserves the spot, not because of the skill of those players, but how easy it is to get grasp of that spec, but hard to master. It makes it easier to people who barely put any effort into playing Aug to get into groups.

Destro is garbage in keys under 11. Especially with smaller pulls. Tanks are out DPSing them. They’re the meta for top tier, not pug tier.

Destro is trash until the 12+ mark. It’s like boomkin. Especially paired with small pulls. Destro will barely out dps a halfway decent tank when things die fast.

Almost all the mages in the top keys have been playing frost because lots of dungeons have target swaps this season and fire is TERRIBLE at target swapping.
