I've used Maxilock when it's inside. If I think it will be visible I like the quality of Aerolock. Both will work it just depends on how pretty I want it to look.
Should I use cotton thread if the material is cotton & polyester thread if my project is made with polyester material or does it matter? Thank you ! ( I have a Bernina 880 plus.)
Hmmm, the 990 costs 22,000 USD, and you are going to just plug it into the wall, really. BUY, an APC 850MV UPS for it, plug that in, and use the "surge/batt backup" ports for it, the electric table and light at your sewing station, power goes out, this unit keeps your machine running, until you can get to a point in project, and then stop, and shutdown safely. Always unplug machine from this unit, and then turn unit off. READ MANUAL on these units so you know how to use them. What is 150 more dollars in the face of 22,000 of them?
Thank you for this video. It was very informative.
thank you for this video, very informative
Do you use #12 or #14 for quilting with battling?
What thread do you recommend for use on the Bernina L890 serger/overlock machine for garment construction?

do you have any comments on brand of needles, especially Klasse vs Schmetz?
We especially like Schmetz needles for the color coding of their needles. This is what we carry.

It really isn't important as long as the thread is of good quality.
What is a thinner thread, that we can use with Bernina 480 sending machine? >
Threads that are thinner are 60-80 weight. I'm not sure what you are sewing I hope this helps.
I am trying to sew the thin leather @@universityofsewing
I would use a strong thread like Isacord, a dose 14 leather needle and use your walking foot. I hope that helps.
My 880+ hates Sulky🙈
