Simply put, kick ass and very relevant now more than ever...
This era was underrated. Archetype was my favorite record of theirs but this was a solid release if they had mixed it better and put Empire on the record like they were supposed to.
This album was good. It had some gems on it. This and Supernova are my favorites.

That U2 cover was pretty good too I think, Burton has a great voice for these kind of song, sucks they never released the suppossed Anthem cover by Godflesh.
Shame lead singer left...although he's been singing for a long time. If they continue to produce...it won't be the same. He deserves a break tho. He's earned it

I hope this isn't a repeat but I found this album in Walmart which is the first album I bought of Fear factory. This music applies to many...people and situations.

Don’t people listen to the cd’s anymore? I still have all of mine. I kind of like having albums that are rare and can’t just be streamed. I guess I understand if you didn’t buy the album when it was new and it went out of print though...
Since it was released on a now defunct label and all the legal shenanigans around the band, I imagine there is difficulties with copyrights for this album.

So I noticed that the lead guitar player has strings 1-4 or as others would say the high E to D all bunched up together on the tailpiece. Is this something that helps the sound of his guitar or rather something done to fix a problem with guitar?
Guess thats for additional unwanted string voicings reduction. Seems like because of this guitar body high resonant characteristics thin strings used to make some noises Chris wanted to cut off - all of these strings are quite thin, so it always enough energy to make them ring here and there.
Or he thinks it looks cool for some reason :)
Camera angle on his 7-string Jackson V, that's why the strings look bunched up. If you were to look at it from the front, you'd see the holes through the body for the strings are where they should be.

This record is easily their weakest. That said, there are some decent hooks on here. Burton carried this album by far with his melodies.
XD no. After Demanufacture dino played same riff almost every time. Archetype and Transgression are last musical progression of this band.

Demanufacture was miles better than this, even if the chorus here isn't too shabby.
