Out of all of the videos I've watched, all of tihe tournaments, the highs and lows, this was by far the best out of all of them. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Seeing that little man catch his PB with you brought tears to this 58 year old truck drivers eyes. Well done, Scott!

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Scott’s dad Roland Martin several times when I was a young boy. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Scott is a very selfless person and it shows in this video. You can tell this wasn’t staged at all. Landon’s father made sure that he let Scott know just how much he cared about Scott. This was a God thing!

Man Scott that was freaking awesome!! I’m 42 and can still remember being this kid, hoping to be invited on a bass boat to go fishing. Not only did he get to fish with a pro and catch his PB, he also had it caught on film. Truly a God sent gesture on your part. Great stuff Sir!

This is why Scott Martin is my favorite angler. Most people as famous as him would maybe just give the kid a high five and an autograph but Scott goes above and beyond for his fans. Spent the whole day with people he barely knew and just took em fishing on his professional fishing boat. What a class act. This was probably my fav video of them all. So happy for that kid you can't fake that reaction when he caught that 5 lber. So much genuine joy with his role model.

Scott, man, I have to say this was amazing. When I was little I got to ride in the boat with The General as they pulled him out and into the stadium for the Redman championship in Tampa many years ago and I will never forget it. This was the best thing I've seen you do yet. That meant the world to that kid and he will forever cherish that short trip out with you. I don't even know what else to say man, it really was amazing, thank you for doing that and letting us be a part of it through your UA-cam channel. Wish more pros did things like this more often. World class!!!!

This past Sunday we had a sermon about the holy spirit and how it is in u after u accept Jesus as your savior. This fits it to the tee. It told u to take that kid fishing even though u didnt need to or have to but u listened to it and u did and u and him were both blessed. Best thing I have seen all week. That was pure gold man. That kid got yo go out on his heroes boat, vith his dad and his hero. He got to experience grabbing big bass and halling them on board for his hero and his dad. The next thing you know, dam that kid caught one himself which was by far his PB and he did it with his bass fishing guru and his dad. WOW WOW WOW!!! The reaction by this kid was real and dope man. This kid is over the moon! I know as a kid I would have been. His fish catch had even my eyes watering a bit. Scott now has a new #1 fan and that Googan Frog for life. That kid will never tie on a different frog ever. This kid will be 20, editing videos for Scott or Hilary and have about 40 Googan frogs in his boat. Great video!

Mr. Martin, I know I am late with the comment but watching people do things like this for folks they don't even know simply because they can is what makes me want to continue when life is beating down hard and it seems like everyone is out for themselves. This act of sharing your time and presence will mean more to this kid and his father than anything else that happens on their vacation. You did that and it didn't cost you or them a dime. A cynic will point out the cost of the some random bs about the cost of the vacation or the costs of your time, etc.....and to them I say, "You keep on keeping score on things that don't matter...the rest of us are smiling ear to ear with joy and humility as we watch this video and knowing that change is hard but oh so worth it." This is amazing. Brings back a lot of memories for me. I was fortunate enough to get your dads autograph on one of his white double blade spinner baits, which he gave me at my 1st tournament on Rice Lake Ontario. It would have been 1986. Unfortunately it was also my last tournament, as my father passed the following January. But pros like him, yourself, and the Izumi brothers, made a young kid like me smile. After the final weigh in of day 2, Wayne took me for a ride on their Ranger boat, an amazing experience to be sure.
Thanks for showing pros like you are still out there.
Side note, we finished 34th out of 125, so not bad for a father son duo..

I remember being a little kid waking up all alone at 5:30am just to watch my 3 hours of ESPN Outdoors primarily to watch your Dad, Bill and Jimmy just HOPING that I may one day meet them and hopefully fish with them. Well, that never happened, but you made that happen for this kid.
