Like so many others here, I have to thank you! You solved my problem with the first method and in just a few minutes after months of suffering with this nonsense. In case this happens to someone else, when I went to Windows Update to click on Stop, it would not let me, it would only let me click on Start. So I clicked on Start, then it changed and let me click on Stop. In Windows, there were a ton of things listed, unlike in your video but I just scrolled down to the Software Distribution and proceeded as you indicated. That was it. It worked! Yay!!!

Method 1 didn't work, and for method 2, when I tried to apply safe boot mode, I got a popup saying "System Configuration cannot save the original boot configuration for later restoration. Boot changes will be reverted," and it unchecked the box.
The first method does not fix my issue and I can't try the second method because for some reason I can't enter safe mode on my laptop. I've had this issue for 7 months, I've tried so many tricks, I can't seem to solve it. I know exactly the windows update that started it but Idk if I can just Uninstall it outside of safe mode?

Gopd, but you'll regret it, if you don't have a good pc or laptop, because windows 11 is Heavier than Windows 10 and it affects the performance of your PC.. so I'll suggest gamers not to update it to Windows 11... Only if you're a low end gamer...
@@F3niks25 Well, It improved my game's performance. And no, it's not heavier at all, it's lighter even! It's lighter since they removed all the bloatware apps and optimized the other built in apps. So, you're kinda wrong, but, it might depend on pc since I have got an RTX 3090, 16gb of ram on my new pc.... And yes, I used windows 10 before upgrading to 11 on this pc for a bit.

If you're one of the people with a PC that still doesn't update after trying both methods, don't feel bad. I was there too... for months. so, one half hour later windows update "resolving problems" is still NOT resolving ? I detest windows 10 ! The error above couldn't complete opens everyday and takes a good half hour to try to load and then unload before I can get on line :(

On the second method (via System Configuration) in "View Installed Updates" can you delete all the prevoius update attemps or only the most recent ?
Only feature update, then it reinstalled automaticaly, but i've managed to install the last update - August for me

thats because windows update reactivates again by itself, you have to reboot ur pc and try again until it works
Make sure you have stopped the windows update from the first thing also, happened to me too though the first method didn’t work for me idk
