Many of the UA-camrs including yourself are saying that NEET aspirants who also get good IAT ranking will 'HOLD ON' to their IISER seats and thereby denying students genuinely interested in IISERs a seat. It appears that IISER admission team has made it somewhat difficult. I am not sure how all the steps of counselling & admission process were playing out in the past years, as I have no information about it. But it is interesting to note a couple of things from the notice issued by IISER on 01-Jul regarding the SAF Refund Rules. The point 9 in the notice says "candidate who has paid the SAF but 'fails to show up by the last date of admission fee payment at the concerned IISER', will not be considered for further rounds of admission". So it appears that there might be a deadline to 'PHYSICALLY SHOW UP' and pay the admission fee at the concerned IISER. And it also appears that this deadline would be within the counselling process window. Otherwise why would they say that the 'No Show' candidates 'WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR FURTHER ROUNDS OF ADMISSION'? So, now the question is - will the NEET aspirants who are just holding on to IISER seats as a backup take the trouble of travelling to the IISER where they get the seat and complete the admission formality, only to let go of it later?

This year cutoff may go high as 100% from IAT. 25 % from JEE Advance removed. Earlier cutoff was for 75% . Please clarify.

Yaah! Shut up! If they don't allow drop year... First try and convince them ... Else you can take "partial drop"
Then you can join any BSc program from a good University and then join Master and PhD program in IISER
