Your configuration of backwards compatibility of overload attaching to primes is kinda intriguing since there's another slot in the back pack that's meant to slot in the tab in overload.
So cool to see this as it was Armada that actually got me collecting TFs beyond some childhood G1 figures. Hasbro/Takara really did this guy justice, and despite minor downsizing improved basically everything about the original toy while still retaining the look/feel of the original. Commander class was definitely the way to go unlike the Leader retool for the Cybertron release. Have this guy preordered for October, and really excited to see how well it compares plastic/qualitywise with the original. Though I don't miss the minicon ports would have been cool to have a couple on the shoulders to perch Sparkplug as Hotshot has one for the original Jolt. Overload also a great inclusion and even as is, is still fun to mess around with, and the dual gun attachment is still pretty epic. Would love to see a Legacy update if Prime does really well.
Armada was a great series. Glad to see this figure getting a new version. Now only if they also include Overload (not Ultra Magnus, though there was a recolour) and continue on with a few of the others... TBH, if they ever get around to Energon we'll need the Snowcat-Demolishor combined mode.
My hope is that Jetfire and Overload are on the way with how much hype armada optimus has been getting. an overload that's not 100% combiner brick would be good, and a jetfire that has modern engineering would be a godsend. sure we can combine him with original overload, but, that thing has less posability than a sentai mech. (Though with the backwards compatibility that he's got with original Overload, the odds of a new Overload are almost nil.
Well there's a good chance we might see a new Jetfire since you can remove the autobot symbol on Prime chest and there's a port there that could help make the Jet combination happen if they make one

I'm glad that they kept his super mode's golden fists folded in his regular robot mode. In his original toy, theses fists would form "heels" for his regular robot mode, and it looked...WEIRD.
I still hope they add Armada's Sideways to Legacy line. Otherwise I might need to start looking for one of those Studio Series Wreck-Gar's for remolding...
I pre ordered this Prime and when I heard we were getting a Armada Prime I had to get one I always waned one but I never find one at a good price but now that I have this one child me would be so happy to see this.
Oh it can support the original Overload? I got the Ultra Magnus version that I gotta dig from my stuff now when my Legacy Armada prime comes in from my Amazon Pre-order.
Great video ! Very nicely done. On a sidenote; Imo the size of the "Truck" part on the first Robot is way off lol. No way it's possible that that tiny truck can haul the rest of it. Also; it looks a bit weird to me that OP from Armada has another head but it's in his "crotch" area.
