A guru in vedanta was once asked that why it is to hot tdy, whats wrong with the sun?? So he replied to his student that who’s sun he is talking abt, the guru’s or his sun. Let this sink in, it might reveal a lot
Alot of judgement in the comments. Really surprising considering these are followers of Kapil, isnt the whole point not to moralise kapil's way of thinking? Reeks of insincerity and ingenuiness.
KAPIL charges $500 for a single 10 minute audio clip on his website. He starts the podcast by saying he does this work because he moved to do it. Did the Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, Lao Tzu charge you $500 for the “GOOD NEWS”? Please find a better more composed philosopher to follow. ❤
I have followed Kapil's work for over a decade and did my devoted research on him. What I found via my own verification of truths was that he speaks the Truth for the most part but he also understands that money is useful if you live in this current human society on Earth and so he's essentially monetizing the Truth and grifting with it (or "ripping people off", idc about the semantics of the word(s) one wants to use to describe it). He has a brand "siddha performance" and he wants to make it look good. That's why he'll delete old tweets from a few years ago that appear contradictory to most people, such as when he tweeted "Yoga is about freeing one from one's self. Meditation is about freeing one from one's mind. Both lead to Freedom." and he got asked on twitter about that tweet, then some hours later he deleted the tweet. What I will say that regardless of all this money stuff and making a brand out of "Truth", is that compared to pretty much any other advicce-preacher, he speaks more truths than them.
@@Dmenlee I think that's pretty self-explanatory. Self help gurus also have endless free content and then some paid content behind the wall. @@SHANONisRegenerate I don't think it's as cut and dry as 'happy won't make one do anything that will change the world". Motivation is multifaceted. People can be driven by both positive (happiness, fulfillment) and negative (dissatisfaction, injustice) emotions. I think both happiness & a desire to improve the world can coexist. One can feel peace/fulfillment while also striving to make a difference. I think it's more enjoyable to come from that place than an overall sense of lack.
There is no point of life. Kapil answered your first question very early on in this video. He said his work is his art. Many famous pieces of art are considered gruesome and vulgar. If you’re looking for happiness you simply won’t find it here. Happiness is nothing more than a momentary break from the constant barrage of suffering that every human is experiencing. You might as well have a lollipop or bowl of ice cream if that’s what you’re looking for.
@@JBoy5680 I think of it entirely the opposite way. Other than bodily threat, 'suffering that every human is experiencing' in today's age, is largely psychological, because 'thought' and its subsequent emotions have veiled or obscured the very happiness and peace that we are. "There is no point to life" is a 'thought', an 'idea', & there are accompanying emotions to this type of thought that can within its own right, veil the happiness and peace that we are. Most look for it in objects (such as your ice cream and lollipop example) or substances (drugs), relationships, activities etc. But objective experience is always temporary, seldom the remedy for genuine, lasting happiness. So it's not happiness that is a momentary break, but rather suffering that is a momentary veiling of the happiness we are.
Haven’t you ever felt heartbroken or experienced heart ache? Was it real or was it just a falsity. Are you underestimating the power of doing something when your heart is in it? Some food for thought!
@@couchpotatoe8845 So are you suggesting that for something to be labelled as Truth it is enough if it feels real?
