‘I’m wide awake it’s morning’ is like a warm blanket on a cold night. Something cathartic about listening to that record in its entirety. I still have my copy I bought 20 years ago, skips at “if you like the taste of wine…wine…wine….wine…wine…”
You just had the modern God of songwriting on your podcast. What a great interview I consider you very lucky. Instant sub for getting this interview. Truly rare interview.
Separately, i loved this interview so much. I know Conor hasn't done many interviews in recent years but he seems so much lighter. Connected. Feeling the appreciation side of the constant awareness of this fragile life. I hope it's as genuine as it feels, but solely bc I want him to have that levity. I hope he can receive how much he's valued. Excellent interview, guys.
Conor is, and has been a prodigy. Extremely gifted and somehow, was able to tap-in to it, at a very Young age. Incredible that the tap still flows in what seems to be freely and not forced. He came in my radar sometime late 90’s and here we are.. I’m truly mystified
He will always be Conor ! Don't change him ever ! In the way you need lighter in the way you need better, he was the best before this car crash happened (( we were car crashes waiting to happen )) (( I'm alone on a road to nowhere and I can't drive )) 😊
C.O. is the best. Ran into him before a Desaperocidos show and was so nice to my friend and I despite us fanboying pretty hard. Can't wait for the upcoming Bright Eyes shows 💚

I love this interview. He's looking healthy and seems happy
Digital Ash and Wide Awake in my opinion are both masterpieces. Equally so. Love this man’s soul. And Upside Down Mountain changed my life.
The fact that they dropped both of those albums on the same day is nearly insulting.

my favorite tiny desk. it's weird to contextualize. i can't describe how much desparacidos means to me. thanks for this, all of you.

Really great interview I completely enjoyed on my drive, but how DARE he call "When the President Talks to God" a bad song?! Bad Conor! Bad!! 😅🎉😝

Got to see Connor a while back. He was drunk on stage and someone had to carry him away. Good times
