I can guarantee if he just did the 2 minute stand off and decided to cancel the show all the fans would still be happy. I believe this was the highest viewed single broadcast event in HBO history. Some little known facts about this (from fan accounts)...nobody in Romania worked for the 3 days he was there visiting as everyone wanted to know what he was doing. The crowds outside the sold out 90k venue extended so far and wide no one could get near to the venue within miles. The sound from the stage was so loud and so clear that this also could be heard for miles and miles. He was so loved in Romania they put a statue up for him also. When he entered the country he got a guard of honour. Look on you tube the crowds he generated for his visit. These all combine to prove there was only one. That was MJ.

I am actually romanian, but was not born yet for this concert and too little in 1996 when Michael returned to Romania.
As others have said, this was huge for my country. Just 3 years after communism has fallen and the first big artist to come to Romania is Michael Jackson. How lucky we were. Yes, the country just stopped for a couple of days when this happened.

I am happy that I was able to experience Michael twice very closely live in concert during his history world tour.
In Prague, the first concert of the tour (more than 120,000 people and I had made it up to the front rows) and in Leipzig. That time I even made it to the very front/middle. But unfortunately I passed out right after Black Or White.
First I was brought in a big tent besides the stage. Minutes later the ambulance car brought me (besides hundreds) on a mound above the concert terrain where I was medically examined (I still have the registration card of the German Red Cross) and would watch the last few minutes of the concert.
I hope my english is understandable.
