Hampton Pool

Hampton’s open-air pool has been a favourite part of this Thames-side community in West London since 1922. Hampton Pool was also nearly closed in the 1980’s, but a campaign by local volunteers was fought and the pool successfully saved. It is now used more than ever, and a much loved local institution. As well as recent footage, the film uses rare clips from cine film shot at the pool in the 1920’s and 30’s.
