- Flood waters have lingered for days and now weeks in parts of Brazil, where people are facing what many are likening to the disaster that struck the New Orleans area during Hurricane Katrina. CBN's Dan Andros gets the update from CBN's Daniel Castro who is reporting from Brazil.

No offense intended about your prayer for them to be blessed but did you happen to see the Carnival of 2019? They think that just because the Carnival in question took place in 2019 and the flooding is happening now that they don’t have anything to do with each other. Except they don’t realize that God doesn’t think like we do nor does he act the way we do. Maybe He was waiting for them to repent. And it was reported that the Carnival float that was so offensive to Christians was a “watered down” version of what was planned. As if that makes it any better. And since the intentions of man’s heart is always wickedness, it’s only my thought but I have a feeling that God doesn’t care about “watered down” versions. That’s like saying I only tell white lies. Except there’s no such thing. A lie is a lie. So as far as blessings go, I think God has blessed them enough by not putting them underwater sooner.

Also, that carnival in question is not even from the same estate that is suffering now from the floods, so don't try to make it seem like it's some kind of divine punishment. We, people from the south of Brazil (the flooded region), are decent and very religious, where most of us are also against this far left government that is plaguing our country.

I live in NZ but am fron São Leopoldo, my whole family lives there and they are safe, but many friends, families, schools, kindergarteners, businesses… it’s all under water for now over a week. Water is rescinding very slowly but when the rain comes water rises again. It’s a major catastrophe in our Rio Grande do Sul. Yes many people are asking where is God in all this, so please, keep praying for the people and for the whole state, as that is what they need the most now.

While there are some satanists and occult practitioners in RS (where these floods are), there are also many strong Christian churches. The churches I am familiar with there are mobilized to help their neighbors in spite of limited resources. Of course, some of them have also been affected by the floods.
