The ST220 is a nice car. The sound of that V6 is fantastic reverberating off surrounding buildings. The way it holds the road, turns like it’s on rails, sharp steering. Things to look out for is rust, bottom end engine wear, water ingress.
When we’re talking about two grand for front pads and rotors for the Audi, is that from a dealer or a qualified independent shop? Here in the Colonies, owners of used Audis assiduously avoid the former, generally calling them ‘stealerships’. My A4 Quattro is maintained by a specialist Audi shop for about half of what the local main agent charges . . .
The ST220s always over produced on power. Dynoed from new with between 230 and 235bhp standard. Still fun to drive and getting very thin on the ground now. Plus prices seem to be on the up. Good cars the ST220s
15,000 pounds buys you an RS4 in the UK?!!! I was looking for one here in the US, you can't find one for cheaper than $35,000-$45,000 if they are in good condition and under 100k miles
jesus dude i think the government are trying to force the petrol cars off the road it's wrong this lady presenter never talks about it ...its alright for her she's loaded
How about jaguar X-type ? I have been watching used X-types, but I might buy a diesel because the petrol engine have a bad head gasket problems. And that diesel is VAG-based basically an Audi engine.
@@joriuschuwa strangely I think some of the ugliest cars of the 2000s have aged quite well. Especially the Jag X and S types. Kinda glad no one else thinks the same because it means I could pick an s type up for a grand nowadays.

Good to know that cheap alternative to Audi is Audi RS.
Here here my mind is blown😂
😂😂
Three great cars, the Mondeo is a great sleeper, the Rover is charming and the RS4 is awesome.

Would love a b7 avant in grey
Aw come on man. Surely you want some colour in your life. Bright blue, no?

I thought dealerships had a bad rep here in the UK - that was until I started talking to Americans 😳😳 My god you guys detest them 😂😂
@@ea9167 for good reason. They will trick you any way they can.

I think this show is a bit older.
Its the running costs that are going to make you file for bankruptcy
My Evo tax is £595, up from 585 last year. Combine that with fuel and maintenance and you're eating beans 3 times a day. Never talked about

The ST220 is still a handsome thing
Saab 9-5 Aero Hirsch (306hp, year 2009) or Saab 9-5 2.8T (296hp, year 2012).
I'd still have an ST220
I have three still and about five in bits😁
I’ve just blown the engine in mine 🤣
That Mondeo in Portugal is rare, and when they are for sale the price can get to 9.000 EUR.
The MG is rwd. Should be the most fun if set up correctly. Not sure how you would go about that with there being so few though.
Kits are available

Yes, very ugly indeed.
the st220 is the best of the 3 there drives lovely and sounds great and is still cheap now to buy
Why are you quoting values of cars in 2014 in 2021? not much use todays prices...
All three are amazing classics now.
None of them are classics yet??????
That Rover might look good but I doubt it was made all that well and the V8 is weak. A remapped ST220 will produce a similar amount of power.
Classic 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just see how cheap and easy is to try to fix the Rover as it's always on strike

That’s untrue.
Garages love owners of old Audi RS models
No one who wants an RS6 is going to buy a MG, or an ST220. Not a chance. They are going to buy an S-line Audi if they cannot afford the RS car.
Yes, and it’ll probably be a diesel.😂😂
I love how she talks , “it’s marmite car, either you love it or you hate it.”
Saying something is ‘marmite’ is a common British saying.
The og era
And to think now they cost more than they did in 2014 and on the up.
The Mondeo was the hatchback version
tons of hp and you have 112kmh speed limit on highways!!
Only when the police or cameras are about I was doing 150mph last night coming home on the a27

Wow love that mondeo would pair my mk1 focus ZX3 nicely wish we had them in North America
a 4.6 with only 250hp????? my A6 with a 3.2 had 265.. and I can guarantee the v6 ran 10x smoother and was far better built
Wait, they were discussing cars? I was just listening to the honey laden voice of Vicki… I won’t apologise, her voice is dreamy.
A lot like Kenny Dalgleish's daughter! Can't remember her name but her voice.....
Every petrolheads dream girl.
V8 MG at 7000? 3.0 V6 Mondeo at 1500?
How is this a alternative to a Audi??? When they showed and Audi ???
Because it’s an older Audi that’s a lot cheaper…
2k for disks and pads!
If you are stupid enough to buy OEM parts at the dealer. xD
Mondeo all day, even if i could afford the audi.
Have fun having at least one problem with it everg week
Have you got one?
The Mondeo is great. I would take it over the other two.
Do it. They’re great.
Over the RS4?
@@TC_83 yes
I wouldn't touch that Audi, 15 mpg, terrible reliability.
What do you drive currently?
RS4 all day long ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Fantastic car. I’ve got an ST220 but if I had 15k I’d get the RS4 or an E46 M3.
The only alternative is a BMW which is better anyway.
BMW E46 M3, Mazda 6 MPS, Alfa Romeo 159 3.2, and Vauxhall Vectra VXR.
