The ending of faker really catches you off guard the first time, its genuinely frightening, and with faker being a relatively calm song compared to the rest, it adds to that
the entire community who have made this mod should feel proud to what they have made everything in it is so high quality with music sprites and more and especially the music :D

I still have huge respect that they managed to turn a laughing stock of the whole fanbase into something unironically amazing. "Too slow" and "You can't run" are now my favorite songs right next to "Accelerant", "Bushwhack" and vs Mecha mod.
I agree. I really think they took all the great aspects of Sonic.EXE. Yes I was honestly scared of Sonic.exe as a kid and now it looks so stupid but like this whole mod is crazy good and has just hit me in a special way.
Fr real, i remember the stupid and cringe sonic.exe fanart back in the day, now people is getting more creative, the original creator of sonic.exe history just ruins everything even his own life, he is the typical furry that likes children and probably animals in the obscure way, i think he didn't even collaborate on this mod lol.
This mod has turned into my all time favorite for various reasons, the music is amazing, the artwork is gorgeous and slightly disturbing to look at, the animations are flawless and the amount of content it has is amazing for a mod. My favorite song has to be triple trouble, is just SO GOOD and i love every part of it. Every new gimmick that was added to this mode was done amazingly and they complement eachother nicely. This mod is truly a love letter to the entirety of sonic.exe and they fricking nailed it. R.I.P Divide, you started what would turn to be one of if not the best fridat night funkin mod and i bet he would be proud of this team. God bless
When you look at the Sonic of "Faker" you can suspect a bit He looks like he has 2 eyes like Tails has, his poses aren't poses sonic would make (Sonic would make more chill poses or poses that show his teenager confidence), his arms are blue instead of being skin color, his fur is more dark and he has another skin tone, his shoes don't have that white line or ring, the gloves are more dark and maybe other details I didn't noticed
I think his poses are actually pretty sonic like, just not typical sonic... movie sonic. Almost as if it’s not trying to look like just any sonic, but a sonic people would recognize most.

However the universe filled out by the sequels and meta stuff or the fan universes he inspired are usually much better written.
The whole team did a fantastic job with this mod. The sprite work in this mod is insane, the music still has that Sonic vibe but also has that horror theme to it, and the characters they picked for the update are fantastic. All have a gimmick that represents their character really well. It feels like a true crossover, no, a celebration to not only Sonic.EXE but also Sonic CreepyPasta, Sonic history, and yes, Sonic memes. Also, make sure you bring your "I ain't reading all of that" because this is going to be a long comment. The main three are great. Too Slow is a great starter for the main Sonic.EXE character and I love how Phase 2 You Can't Run he becomes taller like modern Sonic and that classic Sega Genisis sprites when they did the classic green hill zone theme is a nice touch. Final Phase Triple Trouble is fantastic and something I wanted this mod to do, show Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman.EXE all at once but I thought the idea would be impossible but they did it and they took it a step further and have Sonic.EXE during the phase with a different angle with no loading to the next phase, it's a whole phase and that's brilliant. Clap it up to the devs man. Too Fest and Milk: Are meme songs but they're good meme songs that represent the character. Spunky is a parody of Sonic.EXE and is goofy so it fits his character to sing meme songs and act goofy in his sprites. Sanic or Sanic.EXE represents that GMod and MLG era of Sonic and I think its brilliant Sanic stage is the GMod map because I remember Sanic from an animation from Piemation that was a Sanic GMod animation so it gave me that nostalgic vibe when I saw it. Also thank goodness they went with the classic MLG Green Hill zone theme for Sanic, it's so good. Also, both of their Game Over screens are 10/10. Endless and Execution (which is now called Cycles): I thought would never get a rework because before I thought they were great but the devs didn't need to go all out with Lord'X design and animations. He had the massive glow up and has become my favorite with his remix theme and his goofy but also terrifying animations which I love because it makes him even more disturbing. Majin Sonic redesign is also great but I do prefer the old version just slightly. I can't really give a reason why but my guess is because his old design is more terrifying accidentally which I like because Sonic CD easter egg was more of an accident to the West than it was from Japan with the music and Majin Sonic. It's still great with it still representing the character having that classic Sonic jam though. Chaos: I've never read the Sonic comics or even Fleetway Sonic until facing against him and since I have a little bit of knowledge on who he is, I love how they represent Fleetway Super Sonic the same way how he was in the comics, I even think the middle finger fits the way how he acts because he isn't the Sonic we know him as, he doesn't know how to control his power and evil, killing anyone where he looks. I think this is a reason why they picked him because losing control of who you are and becoming a killing monster is terrifying. It's the reason why I love how, Porker Lewis, is behind Fleetway Super Sonic while he is seeing BF fighting against him, he's grateful that this thing is distracting Sonic and I love it, such a nice touch. Sunshine: We all know Tails Doll would be in this mod but no one expected them to make the sprites look similar to Sonic R and I'm happy they went for a similar route like Majin Sonic where he isn't all-out terrifying, he just looks terrifying and even his voice because Eggman created him to be an opposite of Tails similar to Metal Sonic. I also like how they used that light he has at his head as a gimmick, that's something I would never think of. Faker and Black Sun: From what I've heard this is an original EXE character and I know some people don't like the idea of an "Original Character" in a crossover that has never been seen before but when done right I think it gives a bigger impact and legacy towards that character. And thank goodness they give this guy two phases because if they gave us a cliffhanger I wouldn't be that invested so it's great they give us two phases instead of one. I also like the design, they went with, a Sonic with blue arms and the shoes he is wearing aren't something the real Sonic would wear so it makes sense why he is called a Faker. The second phase is where he shows the player his true form, he becomes taller and more like the other Sonic.EXE characters. Tails is also dead but isn't shown how he died which is great because it makes this character more terrifying, fear the unknown is a great horror message. Really want to see what they do to him in the future or is it that's it for this Faker. Now that I'm done reviewing a mod that no one will ever read, I will now be enjoying the Sonic.EXE Update 2.0 soundtrack posted by JTG on youtube.

I'm not that big of a fan of the more frantic baseline in Endless but I think the song is still pretty cool. Idk why but ti gives me Sonic Colors Ultimate vibes of being like a remix but with a more apparent baseline added to the song that, kinda draws it back but it's still pretty good.
I agree so quick tip if you still have the old ver. You can put the old Endless vocals and instrumental files and replace the new ones with those and it works great!
I honestly liked the old one better, the new one is fast and involved enough to make the 3 2 1 part less good, and the instrumental to the old version at least had a hint of creepiness to it
Eh I like the new versions of the songs, they have more rhythm and base to them to give that extra oomph that was needed. I do like the old endless but I think this new one fits the idea of endless and Sonic as well. Besides that I REALLY LOVED THE ANIMATIONS, especially in the Triple Trouble song. It loved that it used Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman while at the same time making a reference to the original songs from the official game. Then not to mention the cool camera angles whenever bf goes against the evolved Sonic.EXE
I'm currently playing this in the background while doing college work and the amount of nostalgia that is slowly hitting me hard, man. Anyone who was around when this was recently released at the time would know how peak this shit was. Back when shit was so simple in this community. Were most of the people behind the mod horrible people? Yeah, and was the mod itself a catalyst for a chain of events in the community? Yeah, the good and the bad, but you have to admit that it would be hard to imagine how different the community would be and the amount of good stuff we'd miss out that we have today if this mod never became a thing or never received any updates after the original build. Sorry for writing this bible length comment. I just felt like doing so after the nostalgia was hitting me.
This Mod kickstarted a exe resurgence, pioneered, “mixes” and has some of the most iconic songs. Imagine what else it could’ve accomplished let it be 3.0 was finished
What I think about every Sonic Sonic.exe: He's still the same in v1 but his eyes are alittle red now which gives it a more creepy vibe especially in You Can't Run and in Triple Trouble. Majin: He song still gives me that groovy vibe I remember from the version but I like his redesign. Ngl....I thought it was adorable (please don't attack me qwq). Lord X: His new animations just made a dumb smile go across my face because it reminds me alot like the Sonic from Sonic Underground or from the very first Sonic the Hedgehog game. Exe: So.....I have many things to say about this dude......He managed to scare the hell out me. He made me feel so uneasy because of that damn cutscene at the end of Faker. He basically scared me so much that I drew a picture of him behind me looking like he's ready to haunt me and my dreams. He managed to keep me up at night for a few days. Oh jeez...even his game over screen..how it just stares at you with those dead eyes and big creepy smile even when don't even press retry he'll do another jumpscare..also another thing that scared me. I have discovered a new fear lmao. Fleetway: Okay....everyone might have saw this Sonic from the comic but...I seen him from something else. I seen this Sonic from Sonic shorts, I really don't remember which volume but still. All that aside I like his attitude and how he has many voice lines even in the game over screen. How the way he acts reminds me of myself lol. Sunky: He still makes me laugh as much as he did in the original game. His song just gives me happy vibes..even on my saddest days his song actually brightens up my day. Even his game over screen is one of the best things lmao. Sanic: Brings me back into those good days when MLG was a popular thing. He just brings me so much nostalgia. Now for the Non Sonic characters Tail.exe: He reminds me of Gold ngl. But how the way his vocals are makes his part of the song catchy asf. Knuckles: As for him, my favorite character in the Sonic series, Knuckles just blew me away...that's all I can say..it let me speechless. Eggman or Robotnik: I somehow felt bad for Eggman because idk why imagined the horrible death he went through along with Tails and Knuckles. Sonic.exe must've enjoyed killing him the most. What a horrible thing I thought of. All the sadness aside...his laugh reminds of that "YOU FOOL I HAVE 70 ALTERNATIVE ACCOUNTS" meme lmao. I swear Chaos is my favorite song. It’s mostly because it has Fleetway in it, but I also love how Fleetway becomes more and more enraged after you turn super, he knows he can barely harm you because you’re practically invincible from the chaos emeralds.
I don't really know why but Too Fest has my favorite vibe of all these songs. I'm not saying it's my favorite song overall (tied between chaos and endless) but it has a nostalgic vibe, and the background has a liminal space feel being gm_flatgrass after all. It sort of feels to me that you stumbled into some pocket dimension that Sanic has been trapped in for years alone and deteriorating.
I think what you might be trying to say is Cycles is an encounter where you only really have any say in the matter because the being before you is LETTING you have your fun with him. If he WANTED, he could just kill you on the spot, but he is happy to “humor” you
I think nobody really acknowledges the amount of effort put into the tails doll part, he was literally the main attraction of the mod as the people making it were constantly teasing he was gonna be in it
When I think of a true successor to mods like Whitty, Tricky, Zardy, etc., only this one comes to mind. It's so clearly a product of talent, love, and artistic brilliance man. Everything about it so good, the music, the mechanics, the animations, the secrets, it's just fucking perfect man. This is definitely a certified hood classic
This mod is the best thing to come out of sonic.exe or fnf. *Eleven* banger songs, amazing visuals, and nostalgia to boot. Sonic.exe is definitely a hit or miss series, as it's home to a lot of shit, but also surprisingly good projects, fnf is kinda the same. A lot of mods usually have that one really good song that you listen to over and over again, the better ones have two or three. I'd honestly consider all of the songs in this mod good, and I'd say at least 6 of them are excellent. Triple Trouble might be the best song to ever come out of this community, if not musically, visually for sure. So in short -Best songs (I mean there's eleven of them-) -Best visuals -Nobody's complained about the charting yet. I think we peak with this mod.

i think the way Faker/Black Sun's EXE has to try a few times before being able to properly say "you're too slow" is a nice touch. it really drives home the fact that this _isn't Sonic_ and makes you wonder just what it actually is. the minor differences in the design for the fake compared to the real blue blur himself also help this aspect, but the attempt of imitating the iconic line not going properly for the creature at first sells it even more for me
This mod is hands down the best one ever made. Everyone already said it, but all the songs are absolute bangers, there's a lot of passion in it and it would have been good if Divide could have known that this is one of the most successful mods. I know this is a bit out of context but it would have been good if you put Fate in the OST, it isn't in the actual mod but it still is a song made from the composer of this mod and it's a lord X song and, most importantly, it's a banger. Overall this mod is absolute perfection and I will always think this.
Honestly, this turned out to be my favorite FNF mod thus far, and trust me, I have played a lot of them. My favorite song has to be "You Cant Run". "Too Slow" feels like Sonic is not even trying, and just testing if you can actually beat him. in "You Cant Run" it feels like he actually starts to try and kill you. You noticed how I said "You" and not "Boyfriend"? His up and down animations is looking directly at YOU, not Boyfriend. He knows this is a game and you are the Player. He wants the Player. In "Triple Trouble" he understands he has to go all out because he knows you are a challenge to him, so he brings out his quote on quote "Friends" and tries to kill you with their help, but fails yet again. I actually prefer the new endless instead of the old one, it really adds more to the song and makes it much more funky and enjoyable. I wish they put in "Execution" with "Cycles" because I really liked that song, but "Cycles" is still a banger. You got to love Sunky :). I have to say this because everyone will agree with me, "Sunshine" looks INSANE. The work people put in this mod is much bigger than I would ever expect. "Faker" and "Black Sun" are extremely creepy, and really create the vibe they wanted, great job team. "Chaos" is one of my favorite songs in this mod, because Fleetway Sonic looks (and sounds) extremely good in this! Also worship "too fest" or I will break your kneecaps, that's all!

This mod is definitely my favorite by far, and I think the amount of pure effort put into this mod is insane, so here’s my two cents on the mod and songs, I guess. In Too Slow, I think this is almost like .Exe is preparing us for the upcoming songs by starting the mod off strong and setting the scene with references and a great song, in my opinion. (But that’s what I think for all the songs, so whatever) In You Can’t Run, It feels like .Exe’s frustration is portrayed well in the song due to the harsher vocals and instrumental, but still working well as a song. The pixel section and voice lines were also awesome additions. Moving onto Triple Trouble, to me it seems like this is almost .Exe showcasing the horrors he can do to people, and the people he tormented having to face off against boyfriend in a long song, as another attempt to win. I feel like Triple Trouble also sets in some sort of feeling of needing to escape. I also love the ring mechanic. I like how it’s there to help you reduce your combo breaks rather than increase them. Also, I saw someone point out that everyone’s turn is a reference to a song from Sonic, but i'm not too 100% on that. I could go on about this song for ages, but I’ll spare you all from even more incessant rambling. Then we have Endless, which seems to be one of the more nostalgic songs. While I feel as though the original was more Sonic CD than the remaster, I really love the remaster and it feels like it could be a modern Sonic game OST. It just feels like Majin is trying to have fun, rather than harm. After all, fun is infinite with Sega Enterprises! Now, Cycles, I think, was a huge improvement from Execution. While I loved Execution on it’s own, Cycles seemed to improve the things people disliked about Execution. The instrumental felt creepier and the vocals were awesome. The rhythm just really fit the vibe as well. Next, there’s Sunshine. I think this was also supposed to be on the nostalgic side, but still creepy enough to fit in with the rest. I really liked the “Ready? Set, Go!” at the beginning, referencing Sonic R, I think. The lights shutting off then on was a really nice add-on as well. I think Sunshine also fits the sort of unsettling, creepy doll vibe we get from Tails Doll. Going on to Chaos, I loved the addition of Fleetway Super Sonic in this mod. I think in an odd way, he just fits in with the mod in general, despite not being a creepypasta-based character or anything. The voice lines throughout the song were awesome and I like the little dodge, almost like a warning sign like “Hey, don’t mess with him” (despite him always losing in the end). I think the song also just really fits him as a character (All the songs fit their respective characters imo). Moving onto Milk, This song is probably meant to be a mix of nostalgia and comedy. This one also feels like Sunky’s just trying to have fun, and not hurt boyfriend. The song’s upbeat tune and melody really contrasts from the darker, melancholy songs such as Cycles and Sunshine. I really like the references in Milk as well. Now addressing Faker, Something about Faker just really unnerves me deep down. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s something there that just makes him unsettling, even before we see the Black Sun version of him. Faker is a nice, slow song that kinda gives you a break from the other songs. I also like the transformation at the end of the song accompanied by the “You’re too slow” lines. Now, as for Black Sun, I haven’t listened to this one as much, but it’s still a really good song. I like how the vocals are kinda muffled and pixelated. Black Sun just feels like a buildup to something about to happen. I think Revie’s .Exe captures the feeling of this mod and this song just shows that. Finally, Too Fest, I think it’s nice seeing a meme from a few years ago come back in this mod. We all have to admit, Sanic was in the back alleys of our minds until this update. While I'm not the biggest fan of this one, it’s still a nice addition to the mod itself, and it’s nice seeing Sanic added here. I think the sprite work, backgrounds and so on were incredible as well. The sound test was also a great addition to this. I’m glad this mod was expanded on, and I wonder if they’ll add onto it again in the future. Who knows? All in all, I loved this mod, and I think the people who worked on it all did great. (Sorry for such a long comment, I just wanted to chip in and give my thoughts.)
I agree, although I played the mod myself (didn't really get to the others since me and my cousin got stuck on triple trouble) but I had trouble on you can't run, I was accidentally hitting the clear notes and notices that sonic.exe was fighting back on the meter and it was really hard since I git scared about it, I had a lot of fun on too slow and you can't run,I never really passed triple trouble, also I love how they added a secret to the mod,if you go and try to put on bot play, a picture of lord x eyes appear with the words saying "no cheating" but I jokingly said no cheatong,all in all its a really good mod to play
I’m not sure about the other parts of the song. But in triple trouble, you can kinda hear tails reference infinite’s first boss theme from sonic forces.
From my perspective, I think Triple Trouble is the longest song that isn’t about memes. As little man 2, the longest one is meme related. But triple trouble wasn’t about memes. Before this, I thought camellia week 2 phase 3 was the longest of no memes. But this banger, god damn.
Just listened to Knuckles' part on Triple Trouble with headphones and damn his vocals are fire. I wish we could hear it without the need of headphones.
In tons of mods, Boyfriend just serves as the responder, and we're mostly there to jam out to the mod character singing. Sonic.Exe is one of the few mods where Boyfriend has his own lines that make the song so much better, his vocals are so good here and the melody is great.
Kinda wish they had brought back Execution and the old Endless somewhere in the update but nonetheless I still love and praise the work and effort put in this one. Every single song here is a jammer and I thank the team for this mod for such an epic soundtrack.
It really isn't easy to put into words how amazing and well made this masterpiece is. It really shows how the FNF Moding Community has really put their all into projects like these. Showing how they care for not only the quality of the menus, the songs, the artwork and much more, even to telling a goddamm amazing story within the last song Triple Trouble. It really has become 2nd all time favorite right under Doki Doki Takeover, but almost taking over.
My favorite (and most memorable for me) parts from (some of) the songs: You Can't Run: 4:08 The pixel part 4:55 The long notes Sonic and BF sing here (idk why it makes me feel different I feel like I recognize the tune but maybe I don't \_('-')_/ ) Endless: The very first part Sunshine: The first 2 turns from both Tails Doll and BF Faker/Black Sun: The transition cutscene from the end of Faker to the start of Black Sun Chaos: Literally the entire thing
I don't understand why but when someone mentions the graphics in Sunshine looking like the Nintendo 64 or Playstation, It awakens a primal anger inside me because I know that it's inspired by the Sega Saturn, which is where Sonic R originates and the place that Tails Doll is most known for. And it causes me to question why no one that sees that doesn't know but it's probably because it wasn't the best console with 3D graphics. Edit: Also probably because the Playstation and Nintendo 64 were better known.
Anyone else notice the detail in milk? The blood note splash doesn’t occur, and is (i think) the only song in the mod to not have it. I like to think it’s because Sunky isn’t out to hurt you. He just wants a dance party. I just hope this wasn’t a glitch and it’s patched later, or it won’t make *to* much sense.
Ok can we talk about how good this mod is? My favorite so far. Triple Trouble is a groundbreaking song with the 3D environment and the shear length of the song, while it never gets tiring to listen to. Not to mention all the amazing tributes to disturbing Sonic media, like Majin Sonic in Endless, Fleetway Super Sonic in Chaos, it’s all so cool. Not to mention you use the Sonic CD sound test to discover the secret songs. My favorite song has to be You Can’t Run. It does everything right, from the heavy metal instrumental, to Sonic’s design, to the random 8 bit section that was thrown in for fun. Amazing song. All I have to say to this mod is, well done.
This mod is in my opinion the best FNF mod to ever exist. People may think that Whitty, Hex, Smoke 'Em Out Struggle, Mid Fight Masses are great and all, but non compare to this art collab like project that is the Sonic.Exe mod. From the art to the dedication of people to even the owner of Sonic.Exe himself approving of this project, I'm glad this mod is getting the love it deserves.

Top 3 imo are Sunshine, Endless, and Triple Trouble. Don't know what it is about Sunshine, maybe the vocals or the leitmotif, maybe even the genre of music that it sounds like, but it became my most favorite song in the mod
The sonic.exe mod was already good but good lord they aboslutly nailed it with this 2.0 update. Literally my favorite mod with some of the best songs made in the whole fnf modding fandom. These songs were so amazing, even the joke songs like Sunky and Sanic.

My opinions for each phase by it's song and animations: Too Slow- a really fun start in general, both in music and in character. Absolutely loved the " I'M GONNA GET YA, I AM GOD " You Cant Run - More frightening and feels more dangerous overall, i love the poses sonic makes on this one. My favorite part is when it turns all pixelated. Triple Trouble - The rings arent really that usefull tbh, and i was pretty tired of playing already in the middle, but god dang Robotnik's part is such a banger and his little laughs are the reason i cant stop playing this one. The characters are so frightning, but what can i say, i love body horror. Endless- this one isn't scary at all, but it's an energetic banger nonetheless. Majin Sonic seems like a nice guy who wants to have a good time. Cycles - is definetly superior to execution. The song feels hopeless and super disturbing, and Lord X seems to make fun of you, like he knows he already won and is just toying with you. Weirdly, it's the easiest song on the mod. Milk - How tf did they made a meme song sound so good. Also look at him, look at this little guy, look at him go with his milk and cereal. Perfection. Sunshine -Idk why but i was so surprised that it was all 3d. Love vhs style, and when it all goes black, and you can only see tails doll's light thingy flashing the colors of the notes. Faker - it's so calm and uncanny. You vibe with the song, but deep down you know that somethings is wrong, from the music and sprites, something just doesn't feel right, in the best way possible. And then the ending comes...oh boy. Black Sun - you have no idea what the fuck is happening, and that's what makes this phase the most scary to me. If tht's not sonic, then who or what is it? And what the heck happened to tails? Even the mecanincs arent as explicit at first, and you are probably going to die on first try. Still my favorite phase on the mod. Chaos - i was so fucking mad when i realized it wasnt working fot me, because holy shit it is a banger. Couldnt play it, but it's still epic. It's not as scary as the othe ones, but he still seems dangerous, and you can clearly see that he underestimates bf, and starts to get angrier and frustrated the more the song goes on. Too Fest- if it has sanic,then i love it.
Favourite song is chaos, but it's unfortunately the easiest chart with one instant kill and that's it. He even says "let's see how fast you can REALLY go" and it's only at a speed of 3. Crank speed to 4 with ring mechanic and it's amazing.
The laser attack is tricky to dodge. So I can see why you only have to do it once. Also maybe after BF turns super, the speed increases since Fleetway is pissed

this mod is amazing, everything about it is perfect. the music, the art style, the animations. its all perfect they bumped it up so much from last updates, they updated the logo so now it looks more broken and worn down my personal favorite song in this mod was cycles, lord x's animations were perfect it was a huge step up from exucation and sonic.exe's animations were updated as well everything is just so perfect.

I like to think that during Knuckles' part in Triple Trouble, Sonic.EXE actually felt remorseful, but as soon as Eggman started singing, he lost that remorse.

Maybe its just because i grew up loving Sonic as a kid for so long, but this mod has been one of my favorites to listen to the soundtrack. I just can't get enough of it and it brings such nostalgia to my childhood days of enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog. Triple Trouble is a song i listen to on repeat mostly.
This has got to be my favorite mod for so many reasons. I literally eat Triple Trouble for breakfast, I use it as a warm-up for other songs. That, and the music is really good for pretty much every song. I don't have many things to say at all that are poor in terms of quality. Alot of thought went into it all. Hopefully there's a storm brewing with the amount of future content. It could get nuts. Possibly. The team is fabulous.

God this is so nostalgic for me. I mean they got in the sunky.exe shitpost game, I absolutely loved that when I was younger, sonic.exe was just one of my favorite things when I was younger and it makes me so happy to see that there’s obviously love put into this mod
I just wanna say, that I feel like this FNF mod has a deeper meaning to it than what we actually know about it. All though I really love and enjoy this mod, it really brings out the epicness in what Sonic.EXE can turn into in the future. And it also really brings out what Friday Night Funkin' can turn into. I feel this mod has really brought me into the FNF Fandom, but although this mod is really awesome.

This mod has turned into my all time favorite for various reasons, the music is amazing, the artwork is gorgeous and slightly disturbing to look at, the animations are flawless and the amount of content it has is amazing for a mod. My favorite song has to be triple trouble, is just SO GOOD and i love every part of it. Every new gimmick that was added to this mode was done amazingly and they complement eachother nicely. This mod is truly a love letter to the entirety of sonic.exe and they fricking nailed it. R.I.P Divide, you started what would turn to be one of if not the best fridat night funkin mod and i bet he would be proud of this team. God bless

When you look at the Sonic of "Faker" you can suspect a bit
He looks like he has 2 eyes like Tails has, his poses aren't poses sonic would make (Sonic would make more chill poses or poses that show his teenager confidence), his arms are blue instead of being skin color, his fur is more dark and he has another skin tone, his shoes don't have that white line or ring, the gloves are more dark and maybe other details I didn't noticed
Some other details:
-His fur is quite messy
-He has no teeth, and whenever he opens his mouth its eerily wide, the inside being pitch black
Extra details,he has a black liquid covering a bit of his shoes and hair

However the universe filled out by the sequels and meta stuff or the fan universes he inspired are usually much better written.

The whole team did a fantastic job with this mod. The sprite work in this mod is insane, the music still has that Sonic vibe but also has that horror theme to it, and the characters they picked for the update are fantastic. All have a gimmick that represents their character really well. It feels like a true crossover, no, a celebration to not only Sonic.EXE but also Sonic CreepyPasta, Sonic history, and yes, Sonic memes. Also, make sure you bring your "I ain't reading all of that" because this is going to be a long comment.
The main three are great. Too Slow is a great starter for the main Sonic.EXE character and I love how Phase 2 You Can't Run he becomes taller like modern Sonic and that classic Sega Genisis sprites when they did the classic green hill zone theme is a nice touch. Final Phase Triple Trouble is fantastic and something I wanted this mod to do, show Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman.EXE all at once but I thought the idea would be impossible but they did it and they took it a step further and have Sonic.EXE during the phase with a different angle with no loading to the next phase, it's a whole phase and that's brilliant. Clap it up to the devs man.
Too Fest and Milk: Are meme songs but they're good meme songs that represent the character. Spunky is a parody of Sonic.EXE and is goofy so it fits his character to sing meme songs and act goofy in his sprites. Sanic or Sanic.EXE represents that GMod and MLG era of Sonic and I think its brilliant Sanic stage is the GMod map because I remember Sanic from an animation from Piemation that was a Sanic GMod animation so it gave me that nostalgic vibe when I saw it. Also thank goodness they went with the classic MLG Green Hill zone theme for Sanic, it's so good. Also, both of their Game Over screens are 10/10.
Endless and Execution (which is now called Cycles): I thought would never get a rework because before I thought they were great but the devs didn't need to go all out with Lord'X design and animations. He had the massive glow up and has become my favorite with his remix theme and his goofy but also terrifying animations which I love because it makes him even more disturbing. Majin Sonic redesign is also great but I do prefer the old version just slightly. I can't really give a reason why but my guess is because his old design is more terrifying accidentally which I like because Sonic CD easter egg was more of an accident to the West than it was from Japan with the music and Majin Sonic. It's still great with it still representing the character having that classic Sonic jam though.
Chaos: I've never read the Sonic comics or even Fleetway Sonic until facing against him and since I have a little bit of knowledge on who he is, I love how they represent Fleetway Super Sonic the same way how he was in the comics, I even think the middle finger fits the way how he acts because he isn't the Sonic we know him as, he doesn't know how to control his power and evil, killing anyone where he looks. I think this is a reason why they picked him because losing control of who you are and becoming a killing monster is terrifying. It's the reason why I love how, Porker Lewis, is behind Fleetway Super Sonic while he is seeing BF fighting against him, he's grateful that this thing is distracting Sonic and I love it, such a nice touch.
Sunshine: We all know Tails Doll would be in this mod but no one expected them to make the sprites look similar to Sonic R and I'm happy they went for a similar route like Majin Sonic where he isn't all-out terrifying, he just looks terrifying and even his voice because Eggman created him to be an opposite of Tails similar to Metal Sonic. I also like how they used that light he has at his head as a gimmick, that's something I would never think of.
Faker and Black Sun: From what I've heard this is an original EXE character and I know some people don't like the idea of an "Original Character" in a crossover that has never been seen before but when done right I think it gives a bigger impact and legacy towards that character. And thank goodness they give this guy two phases because if they gave us a cliffhanger I wouldn't be that invested so it's great they give us two phases instead of one. I also like the design, they went with, a Sonic with blue arms and the shoes he is wearing aren't something the real Sonic would wear so it makes sense why he is called a Faker. The second phase is where he shows the player his true form, he becomes taller and more like the other Sonic.EXE characters. Tails is also dead but isn't shown how he died which is great because it makes this character more terrifying, fear the unknown is a great horror message. Really want to see what they do to him in the future or is it that's it for this Faker.
Now that I'm done reviewing a mod that no one will ever read, I will now be enjoying the Sonic.EXE Update 2.0 soundtrack posted by JTG on youtube.

I'm not that big of a fan of the more frantic baseline in Endless but I think the song is still pretty cool. Idk why but ti gives me Sonic Colors Ultimate vibes of being like a remix but with a more apparent baseline added to the song that, kinda draws it back but it's still pretty good.
I agree so quick tip if you still have the old ver. You can put the old Endless vocals and instrumental files and replace the new ones with those and it works great!

I honestly liked the old one better, the new one is fast and involved enough to make the 3 2 1 part less good, and the instrumental to the old version at least had a hint of creepiness to it

I'm currently playing this in the background while doing college work and the amount of nostalgia that is slowly hitting me hard, man. Anyone who was around when this was recently released at the time would know how peak this shit was. Back when shit was so simple in this community. Were most of the people behind the mod horrible people? Yeah, and was the mod itself a catalyst for a chain of events in the community? Yeah, the good and the bad, but you have to admit that it would be hard to imagine how different the community would be and the amount of good stuff we'd miss out that we have today if this mod never became a thing or never received any updates after the original build. Sorry for writing this bible length comment. I just felt like doing so after the nostalgia was hitting me.
This Mod kickstarted a exe resurgence, pioneered, “mixes” and has some of the most iconic songs. Imagine what else it could’ve accomplished let it be 3.0 was finished

What I think about every Sonic
Sonic.exe: He's still the same in v1 but his eyes are alittle red now which gives it a more creepy vibe especially in You Can't Run and in Triple Trouble.
Majin: He song still gives me that groovy vibe I remember from the version but I like his redesign. Ngl....I thought it was adorable (please don't attack me qwq).
Lord X: His new animations just made a dumb smile go across my face because it reminds me alot like the Sonic from Sonic Underground or from the very first Sonic the Hedgehog game.
Exe: So.....I have many things to say about this dude......He managed to scare the hell out me. He made me feel so uneasy because of that damn cutscene at the end of Faker. He basically scared me so much that I drew a picture of him behind me looking like he's ready to haunt me and my dreams. He managed to keep me up at night for a few days. Oh jeez...even his game over screen..how it just stares at you with those dead eyes and big creepy smile even when don't even press retry he'll do another jumpscare..also another thing that scared me. I have discovered a new fear lmao.
Fleetway: Okay....everyone might have saw this Sonic from the comic but...I seen him from something else. I seen this Sonic from Sonic shorts, I really don't remember which volume but still. All that aside I like his attitude and how he has many voice lines even in the game over screen. How the way he acts reminds me of myself lol.
Sunky: He still makes me laugh as much as he did in the original game. His song just gives me happy vibes..even on my saddest days his song actually brightens up my day. Even his game over screen is one of the best things lmao.
Sanic: Brings me back into those good days when MLG was a popular thing. He just brings me so much nostalgia.
Now for the Non Sonic characters
Tail.exe: He reminds me of Gold ngl. But how the way his vocals are makes his part of the song catchy asf.
Knuckles: As for him, my favorite character in the Sonic series, Knuckles just blew me away...that's all I can say..it let me speechless.
Eggman or Robotnik: I somehow felt bad for Eggman because idk why imagined the horrible death he went through along with Tails and Knuckles. Sonic.exe must've enjoyed killing him the most. What a horrible thing I thought of. All the sadness aside...his laugh reminds of that "YOU FOOL I HAVE 70 ALTERNATIVE ACCOUNTS" meme lmao. (don't kill me if he said 17 or 70 idfk anymore)
Tails Doll: I remember seeing this thing from Sonic Shorts when he kept saying "Play with me" which was a thing that scared me and my sister back then. Never knew I would see Tails Doll come back tho ngl. His sound I so good too..I can't really describe how I feel about it.

I swear Chaos is my favorite song. It’s mostly because it has Fleetway in it, but I also love how Fleetway becomes more and more enraged after you turn super, he knows he can barely harm you because you’re practically invincible from the chaos emeralds.
I don't really know why but Too Fest has my favorite vibe of all these songs. I'm not saying it's my favorite song overall (tied between chaos and endless) but it has a nostalgic vibe, and the background has a liminal space feel being gm_flatgrass after all. It sort of feels to me that you stumbled into some pocket dimension that Sanic has been trapped in for years alone and deteriorating.

I think nobody really acknowledges the amount of effort put into the tails doll part, he was literally the main attraction of the mod as the people making it were constantly teasing he was gonna be in it
When I think of a true successor to mods like Whitty, Tricky, Zardy, etc., only this one comes to mind. It's so clearly a product of talent, love, and artistic brilliance man. Everything about it so good, the music, the mechanics, the animations, the secrets, it's just fucking perfect man. This is definitely a certified hood classic

This mod is the best thing to come out of sonic.exe or fnf. *Eleven* banger songs, amazing visuals, and nostalgia to boot. Sonic.exe is definitely a hit or miss series, as it's home to a lot of shit, but also surprisingly good projects, fnf is kinda the same. A lot of mods usually have that one really good song that you listen to over and over again, the better ones have two or three. I'd honestly consider all of the songs in this mod good, and I'd say at least 6 of them are excellent.
Triple Trouble might be the best song to ever come out of this community, if not musically, visually for sure.

Nobody talking about how absolutely PERFECT Sunshine is, it's a super intimidating, otherworldly, and panic-inducing song, and the mod chart was super cool and creative, and they NAILED the aesthetic!
Also Tails doll. They made it terrifying without putting blood all over it. *cough*

i think the way Faker/Black Sun's EXE has to try a few times before being able to properly say "you're too slow" is a nice touch. it really drives home the fact that this _isn't Sonic_ and makes you wonder just what it actually is. the minor differences in the design for the fake compared to the real blue blur himself also help this aspect, but the attempt of imitating the iconic line not going properly for the creature at first sells it even more for me

This mod is hands down the best one ever made. Everyone already said it, but all the songs are absolute bangers, there's a lot of passion in it and it would have been good if Divide could have known that this is one of the most successful mods.
I know this is a bit out of context but it would have been good if you put Fate in the OST, it isn't in the actual mod but it still is a song made from the composer of this mod and it's a lord X song and, most importantly, it's a banger.
Overall this mod is absolute perfection and I will always think this.

Honestly, this turned out to be my favorite FNF mod thus far, and trust me, I have played a lot of them. My favorite song has to be "You Cant Run". "Too Slow" feels like Sonic is not even trying, and just testing if you can actually beat him. in "You Cant Run" it feels like he actually starts to try and kill you. You noticed how I said "You" and not "Boyfriend"? His up and down animations is looking directly at YOU, not Boyfriend. He knows this is a game and you are the Player. He wants the Player. In "Triple Trouble" he understands he has to go all out because he knows you are a challenge to him, so he brings out his quote on quote "Friends" and tries to kill you with their help, but fails yet again. I actually prefer the new endless instead of the old one, it really adds more to the song and makes it much more funky and enjoyable. I wish they put in "Execution" with "Cycles" because I really liked that song, but "Cycles" is still a banger. You got to love Sunky :). I have to say this because everyone will agree with me, "Sunshine" looks INSANE. The work people put in this mod is much bigger than I would ever expect. "Faker" and "Black Sun" are extremely creepy, and really create the vibe they wanted, great job team. "Chaos" is one of my favorite songs in this mod, because Fleetway Sonic looks (and sounds) extremely good in this! Also worship "too fest" or I will break your kneecaps, that's all!

Deadass can't believe Sonic.exe found his way back in my life by spitting straight fire in a FNF mod.
This mod is definitely my favorite by far, and I think the amount of pure effort put into this mod is insane, so here’s my two cents on the mod and songs, I guess.
In Too Slow, I think this is almost like .Exe is preparing us for the upcoming songs by starting the mod off strong and setting the scene with references and a great song, in my opinion. (But that’s what I think for all the songs, so whatever)
In You Can’t Run, It feels like .Exe’s frustration is portrayed well in the song due to the harsher vocals and instrumental, but still working well as a song. The pixel section and voice lines were also awesome additions.
Moving onto Triple Trouble, to me it seems like this is almost .Exe showcasing the horrors he can do to people, and the people he tormented having to face off against boyfriend in a long song, as another attempt to win. I feel like Triple Trouble also sets in some sort of feeling of needing to escape. I also love the ring mechanic. I like how it’s there to help you reduce your combo breaks rather than increase them. Also, I saw someone point out that everyone’s turn is a reference to a song from Sonic, but i'm not too 100% on that. I could go on about this song for ages, but I’ll spare you all from even more incessant rambling.
Then we have Endless, which seems to be one of the more nostalgic songs. While I feel as though the original was more Sonic CD than the remaster, I really love the remaster and it feels like it could be a modern Sonic game OST. It just feels like Majin is trying to have fun, rather than harm. After all, fun is infinite with Sega Enterprises!
Now, Cycles, I think, was a huge improvement from Execution. While I loved Execution on it’s own, Cycles seemed to improve the things people disliked about Execution. The instrumental felt creepier and the vocals were awesome. The rhythm just really fit the vibe as well.
Next, there’s Sunshine. I think this was also supposed to be on the nostalgic side, but still creepy enough to fit in with the rest. I really liked the “Ready? Set, Go!” at the beginning, referencing Sonic R, I think. The lights shutting off then on was a really nice add-on as well. I think Sunshine also fits the sort of unsettling, creepy doll vibe we get from Tails Doll.
Going on to Chaos, I loved the addition of Fleetway Super Sonic in this mod. I think in an odd way, he just fits in with the mod in general, despite not being a creepypasta-based character or anything. The voice lines throughout the song were awesome and I like the little dodge, almost like a warning sign like “Hey, don’t mess with him” (despite him always losing in the end). I think the song also just really fits him as a character (All the songs fit their respective characters imo).
Moving onto Milk, This song is probably meant to be a mix of nostalgia and comedy. This one also feels like Sunky’s just trying to have fun, and not hurt boyfriend. The song’s upbeat tune and melody really contrasts from the darker, melancholy songs such as Cycles and Sunshine. I really like the references in Milk as well.
Now addressing Faker, Something about Faker just really unnerves me deep down. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s something there that just makes him unsettling, even before we see the Black Sun version of him. Faker is a nice, slow song that kinda gives you a break from the other songs. I also like the transformation at the end of the song accompanied by the “You’re too slow” lines.
Now, as for Black Sun, I haven’t listened to this one as much, but it’s still a really good song. I like how the vocals are kinda muffled and pixelated. Black Sun just feels like a buildup to something about to happen. I think Revie’s .Exe captures the feeling of this mod and this song just shows that.
Finally, Too Fest, I think it’s nice seeing a meme from a few years ago come back in this mod. We all have to admit, Sanic was in the back alleys of our minds until this update. While I'm not the biggest fan of this one, it’s still a nice addition to the mod itself, and it’s nice seeing Sanic added here.
I think the sprite work, backgrounds and so on were incredible as well. The sound test was also a great addition to this. I’m glad this mod was expanded on, and I wonder if they’ll add onto it again in the future. Who knows? All in all, I loved this mod, and I think the people who worked on it all did great.

I agree, although I played the mod myself (didn't really get to the others since me and my cousin got stuck on triple trouble) but I had trouble on you can't run, I was accidentally hitting the clear notes and notices that sonic.exe was fighting back on the meter and it was really hard since I git scared about it, I had a lot of fun on too slow and you can't run,I never really passed triple trouble, also I love how they added a secret to the mod,if you go and try to put on bot play, a picture of lord x eyes appear with the words saying "no cheating" but I jokingly said no cheatong,all in all its a really good mod to play
I’m not sure about the other parts of the song. But in triple trouble, you can kinda hear tails reference infinite’s first boss theme from sonic forces.
From my perspective, I think Triple Trouble is the longest song that isn’t about memes. As little man 2, the longest one is meme related. But triple trouble wasn’t about memes. Before this, I thought camellia week 2 phase 3 was the longest of no memes. But this banger, god damn.

Just listened to Knuckles' part on Triple Trouble with headphones and damn his vocals are fire. I wish we could hear it without the need of headphones.
In tons of mods, Boyfriend just serves as the responder, and we're mostly there to jam out to the mod character singing. Sonic.Exe is one of the few mods where Boyfriend has his own lines that make the song so much better, his vocals are so good here and the melody is great.
Cycles really gives me a "It's the end of the world, and I'm leaving you behind." type vibe, but it kinda feels like your fighting back.
I can't appreciate Black Sun and Faker enough. Faker just seems so chill. I could vibe to that.
And Black Sun is an absolute treat of a song.
After finding out 3.0 got cancelled, it honestly feels like a miracle we even have a 2.0.
Kinda wish they had brought back Execution and the old Endless somewhere in the update but nonetheless I still love and praise the work and effort put in this one. Every single song here is a jammer and I thank the team for this mod for such an epic soundtrack.

It really has become 2nd all time favorite right under Doki Doki Takeover, but almost taking over.

I don't understand why but when someone mentions the graphics in Sunshine looking like the Nintendo 64 or Playstation, It awakens a primal anger inside me because I know that it's inspired by the Sega Saturn, which is where Sonic R originates and the place that Tails Doll is most known for. And it causes me to question why no one that sees that doesn't know but it's probably because it wasn't the best console with 3D graphics.
Edit: Also probably because the Playstation and Nintendo 64 were better known.

Anyone else notice the detail in milk? The blood note splash doesn’t occur, and is (i think) the only song in the mod to not have it. I like to think it’s because Sunky isn’t out to hurt you. He just wants a dance party. I just hope this wasn’t a glitch and it’s patched later, or it won’t make *to* much sense.

Ok can we talk about how good this mod is? My favorite so far. Triple Trouble is a groundbreaking song with the 3D environment and the shear length of the song, while it never gets tiring to listen to. Not to mention all the amazing tributes to disturbing Sonic media, like Majin Sonic in Endless, Fleetway Super Sonic in Chaos, it’s all so cool. Not to mention you use the Sonic CD sound test to discover the secret songs. My favorite song has to be You Can’t Run. It does everything right, from the heavy metal instrumental, to Sonic’s design, to the random 8 bit section that was thrown in for fun. Amazing song. All I have to say to this mod is, well done.
This mod is in my opinion the best FNF mod to ever exist. People may think that Whitty, Hex, Smoke 'Em Out Struggle, Mid Fight Masses are great and all, but non compare to this art collab like project that is the Sonic.Exe mod. From the art to the dedication of people to even the owner of Sonic.Exe himself approving of this project, I'm glad this mod is getting the love it deserves.

My opinions for each phase by it's song and animations:
Too Slow- a really fun start in general, both in music and in character. Absolutely loved the " I'M GONNA GET YA, I AM GOD "
You Cant Run - More frightening and feels more dangerous overall, i love the poses sonic makes on this one. My favorite part is when it turns all pixelated.
Triple Trouble - The rings arent really that usefull tbh, and i was pretty tired of playing already in the middle, but god dang Robotnik's part is such a banger and his little laughs are the reason i cant stop playing this one. The characters are so frightning, but what can i say, i love body horror.
Endless- this one isn't scary at all, but it's an energetic banger nonetheless. Majin Sonic seems like a nice guy who wants to have a good time.
Cycles - is definetly superior to execution. The song feels hopeless and super disturbing, and Lord X seems to make fun of you, like he knows he already won and is just toying with you. Weirdly, it's the easiest song on the mod.
Milk - How tf did they made a meme song sound so good. Also look at him, look at this little guy, look at him go with his milk and cereal. Perfection.
Sunshine -Idk why but i was so surprised that it was all 3d. Love vhs style, and when it all goes black, and you can only see tails doll's light thingy flashing the colors of the notes.
Faker - it's so calm and uncanny. You vibe with the song, but deep down you know that somethings is wrong, from the music and sprites, something just doesn't feel right, in the best way possible. And then the ending comes...oh boy.
Black Sun - you have no idea what the fuck is happening, and that's what makes this phase the most scary to me. If tht's not sonic, then who or what is it? And what the heck happened to tails? Even the mecanincs arent as explicit at first, and you are probably going to die on first try. Still my favorite phase on the mod.
Chaos - i was so fucking mad when i realized it wasnt working fot me, because holy shit it is a banger. Couldnt play it, but it's still epic. It's not as scary as the othe ones, but he still seems dangerous, and you can clearly see that he underestimates bf, and starts to get angrier and frustrated the more the song goes on.
Too Fest- if it has sanic,then i love it.
Favourite song is chaos, but it's unfortunately the easiest chart with one instant kill and that's it. He even says "let's see how fast you can REALLY go" and it's only at a speed of 3. Crank speed to 4 with ring mechanic and it's amazing.
The laser attack is tricky to dodge. So I can see why you only have to do it once. Also maybe after BF turns super, the speed increases since Fleetway is pissed

this mod is amazing, everything about it is perfect. the music, the art style, the animations. its all perfect they bumped it up so much from last updates, they updated the logo so now it looks more broken and worn down my personal favorite song in this mod was cycles, lord x's animations were perfect it was a huge step up from exucation and sonic.exe's animations were updated as well everything is just so perfect.
Bro I’m not even a big fan of Sonic EXE but this mod will always have my respect from the reference, to the effort put in from everyone involved and of course the animation and music this is great. Also RIP Divide.

Maybe its just because i grew up loving Sonic as a kid for so long, but this mod has been one of my favorites to listen to the soundtrack. I just can't get enough of it and it brings such nostalgia to my childhood days of enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog. Triple Trouble is a song i listen to on repeat mostly.
This has got to be my favorite mod for so many reasons. I literally eat Triple Trouble for breakfast, I use it as a warm-up for other songs. That, and the music is really good for pretty much every song. I don't have many things to say at all that are poor in terms of quality. Alot of thought went into it all. Hopefully there's a storm brewing with the amount of future content. It could get nuts. Possibly.

God this is so nostalgic for me. I mean they got in the sunky.exe shitpost game, I absolutely loved that when I was younger, sonic.exe was just one of my favorite things when I was younger and it makes me so happy to see that there’s obviously love put into this mod

I just wanna say, that I feel like this FNF mod has a deeper meaning to it than what we actually know about it. All though I really love and enjoy this mod, it really brings out the epicness in what Sonic.EXE can turn into in the future. And it also really brings out what Friday Night Funkin' can turn into. I feel this mod has really brought me into the FNF Fandom, but although this mod is really awesome.
