Such nostalgia! We actually lived just down the street from this mall like 15 years ago and used to go there all the time. My mom and aunt worked in that very same Nestle cookie store and would often bring back goodies.
Memory lane nice video i remember when this mall was built early 1980s that was the place to be that place was for rich people to go i glad it still busy the theater use to be by the ice area back in the day i know at Christmas time back in 1980s that mall had endless people in it. Rip to valley view mall and Prestonwood mall good memories 1980s. I miss Dallas my hometown i live in Wichita falls texas our mall is slowly dieing i glad the galleria still hanging in there. I miss metroplex the town i live in last 20 years the same not growing folks here don't want it to grow but there potential here we got plenty of water clear skys no traffic good schools i wish we could get some Dallas magic here lol. Growth new people be nice Wichita falls texas like Austin pretty liberal here like California but more freedom to be u.
this mall was better before the renovation. I remember when it was dark granite and chrome inside. Galleria was more popular than North Park back in the 90s and it was a high end Mall. the regular stores were over there at Valley View. the Galleria is now like what Valley View used to be. Galleria is not as upscale as it was back in the 90s.
This Mall is hard to see and if you don't know what your looking for you will drive right passed it. As you know it's to the left of the Valley View Mall. I've been there countless times. But the best Mall is the Grapevine Mills in Grapevine Texas. So if you have not been there you need to go. Cinemas 30 in the back of the mall outside the back doors next to Aquarium.
this mall is the easiest one to find because they have office towers and a hotel tower on the site. this mall has its own mini skyline, you have to be blind to miss it. the setup for the parking is weird though. it was designed as an urban mall but it was put out in the suburbs. Even though it's technically in the city of Dallas that area used to be considered very suburban and very high-end at that.
Great video. I'm living in the country now, but this brings back great memories. I used to watch my girls ice skate, while sitting in bennigans. Probably not even there anymore.
@@BeenThereDoneThatTravel yes it has. Both of my girls are grown now, with families of their own. They both chose to live & raise kids in Plano. (about a mile from each other) They love it. I'm an hour & a half away & I love to visit. Lol.
@@BeenThereDoneThatTravel can't say that I am, grew up near Houston, & moved to the DFW area in 79. Been a few areas around Texas. San Antonio, Lubbock, El Paso, Tyler, Sherman. Now about 40 mins outside of Ft. Worth in the country.
Is there a train route there from downtown Dallas? I know they're called the Dart trains. I've never been to Dallas or any part of Texas before, but I wouldn't mind checkin out this mall if I get a chance to go there.
Brace Brooks I'm not sure about the train route I'm not from that area I was just in town for a short time and did a video.... hope you enjoyed the video.
Oh ok, thanks 4 letting me know, hopefully I'll be able to find it if I go there. I'm trying to Dallas 4 the 1st time in my life the 3rd week of March 2018.

There is a bus that runs from downtown through north dallas tollway to addisson. It makes a stop oitside the galleria. I know because I took it once.
