صور أو «تيروس» كما سميت في العهد اليوناني الروماني.
صور، عروس البحر، عاصمة الساحل ومتنفس جبل عامل.
شبه جزيرة تقع في جنوب الساحل اللبناني على الضفة الشرقية للبحر المتوسط ، على بعد 85 كلم جنوب بيروت.
هي واحدة من أقدم المدن في العالم، ويعود تاريخها إلى أكثر من 4000 سنة.كانت المدينة ميناء فينيقياً قديماً ومركزاً صناعياً، ويُعرف في الأسطورة باسم مسقط رأس أوروبا
تعتبر مدينة صور من أهم المدن الساحلية في العالم، اشتهرت بتصديرها للأبجدية، ضمتها منظمة الأونيسكو إلى لائحة التراث العالمي سنة 1979.
‏Tire or «Tiros» as it was called in the Greco-Roman era. Tire, the mermaid, the capital of the coast and a breather for Jabal Amel. A peninsula located in the south of the Lebanese coast on the eastern bank of the Mediterranean Sea, 75 km south of Beirut. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, dating back more than 4,000 years. The city was an ancient Phoenician port and industrial center, known in legend as the birthplace of Europe. The city of Tire is considered one of the most important coastal cities in the world, famous for its export of the alphabet. UNESCO included it in the World Heritage List in 1979.
