Quite good mono speaker that I didn't know. Thought it was stereo cause of the dual "woofers". Better sound than on your phone or laptop ever.. Glad that I only paid 40 euros from it, but was plenty of sound for that money and the charging port is a nice feature too..
I was actually very impressed by the bass. Sound quality was too be expected by JBL. My car speakers are JBL, specifically the GTO 629's which are great.
The range with my laptop is nearly 20 meters, depending on obstructions. Sound.. signature JBL top quality, and the bass is quite good. The only time I found the volume level was poor, is when I used a cord to connect. I always prefer corded connections for personal health reasons, but the volume seems like only 50% of what it is with a bluetooth connection, which makes no sense to me. You would think it would be the other way around!
Chris 1108 It’s really good. Sound is pretty high quality and bass is surprisingly strong for such a small speaker. It gets really loud as well, although I wouldn’t go higher than 85% volume because then the bass can’t keep up, but 85% is still really loud. It’s too bad they don’t have an equalizer for the speaker since you can definitely get it to sound even better but you can use EQ in Spotify and choose from different EQ settings for Apple Music so it’s all good.
If you are a a bass I would advise using LFM with the JBL charge 4/3 but use at lower volumes otherwise could damage speaker in Longrun overall I really liked the review and I’m actually buying a charge 4 soon I currently have the charge 5
And I still have one simple question. What charger do you use for charging? I tried different types Samsung, Baseus, Usasms and my speaker charges more than 5 hours!
is there any way to switch off the microphone function on the charge once its connected via bluetooth? it’s annoying to realize when voice texts i sebt or audio notes i recorded are unusable because the mic of the jbl charge was on . or do i always have to remember that my speaker is connected before i can do any recordings. i think this needs a software update

This ain't even best bang for the buck. The trebble is great, but the bass is a nowhere to be heard. It's just flat with no thump. This charge 4 is okay for a tight budget consumer. The JBL extreme 2 is by far the best of both world when it comes to treble and bass for $199 on sale price. I can adjust the treble and bass up and down on my samsung galaxy note 20 ultra whichever I prefer best for different music track. Sometime I like the mega bass and some other time I just want to hear the crystal clear vocal artist.

what the battery life if you listen to music on max volume. it says up to 20h but thats complete bs with 37wh battery and 30w. can someone help with this i cant find how long the battery lasts on max volume with music

I’ve got the normal version of the D8 which is bigger and more powerful but still sucks, I’m selling it and I’m thinking of getting the charge 4 or 5 cuz I know it is better, the D8’s wattage is a whole lie we’ve been fooled

It is portable AND loud. It won’t be as loud as the partybox 1000 obviously because it’s smaller
