- Undertale in Minecraft is back!
Today in the building Undertale in Minecraft series I covered a lot of snowdin and ruins. More specifically, the mountains and what's to come in the future! Snowdin Town was mentioned, but it's not completed yet lol, same goes to Toriels house. But we'll get there eventually!

So... for the intro and outro of this, it may have seem rushed. And that was because I was doing this RIGHT before leaving to catch a plane... yeah, I make good desisions.
Honeslty, I never wanted to make it take an extra 2 weeks when I was practically done, so I thought I could timecrunch it. Sure, it's slightly less quality in some areas than i'd like. But it wouldn't be a Doge Creations video without some scuffness somewhere i suppose :P
Hope you all enjoyed regardless, I had a lot of fun getting to properly talk and explain things in a video for once!

I just realised… skulk sensors detect movement nearby… so using a skull sensor(and perhaps a mod) isn’t it possible to “trigger” encounters just like in undertale? That would be hella cool

Same here lol, its so fun being able to expand upon the canon lore/locations so drastically, really makes for some cool builds! And palettes that i wouldnt normally use :)
I think you should make a resourcepack and release it with the map that makes the sky black and makes the sun and the moon invisible, so you don't see the sun/moon in the distance when we are exploring the underground.

You can't change the sky with recourse packs.
@@esoij u can actually! Theres some way to make it all custom. idk how but ik its possible :p
@@DogeCreations no. There's no textures for the sky. They're hardcoded. You can use shaders to do it, but it literally requires college level math.

I actually tried to do this once, but I lost interest about halfway through Snowdin. Even though I did everything with way less scale and detail, and I had worldedit. _And here you and that other guy are building literal mountains in the background by hand just cause you can!_ I'm impressed! And you only have 600 views from this!? Absolutely criminal you deserve millions.

Honestly me and some other friends did discuss potentially building an undertale map, but considering the scale and time we’d need to complete it, we decided not to in the end. (Though we have designed a massive judgement hall and throne room)
But you, and whoever you’re working with, are absolutely doing this amazingly. The map so far looks incredibly beautiful, keep up the great work! Can’t wait to see the output.
However, reminder that you should get some rest every now and then while working on this project. This will definitely take a pretty long while.
This is a super cool take on a minecraft ver of undertale! I’ve seen a lot of UT maps in MC but by far yours is the most interesting and intricate I’ve seen- I can tell theres so much love and passion put into this! The effort you guys are putting to make it seem like there are real people living in the underground with all your different details and extra buildings (the frogget hall and the extra village especially) is amazing! Keep up the good work man!

I absolutely love this build of Undertale. I'd always make ideas and drawings for an Undertale like this, way bigger and more detailed. This is the Undertale I've always dreamt of.
It's amazing how you went above and beyond just recreating the game block by pixel, instead expanding on and adding more details onto the build, FABULOUS!!

@@DogeCreations Yes! That is really a great addition imo! These background-builds add to the world and make it feel more alive!
This project looks very interesting and I hope more people get to see and enjoy it. I hope that the project continues to prosper and can be completed. I am also curious as to the final end goal of the project. Is it to simply rebuild the world of Undertale or also include all encounters and interactions? I would also love to try and help with the project if possible, I am not much of a builder, however if you ever need anything done with commands and datapacks I would love to help with that. Good Luck with the future of this project and I look forward to see more.

there is definitly hotland WIP's but that'll have to wait till the next video or smth, only so much i can talk abt in 1 thing lol, but im glad u like this so far! :)

one thing you could do for waterfall when you get there is possibly use sculk for the star rooms since it has a texture that looks kinda like stars. Though said stars are very tiny.

Seriously, I would not have thought to add those extra levels to rooms with balconies and branching hallways that you can't technically access. I also can't make my map functional. I've gotten as far as the Monster Candy room and do plan to continue just to see what I can do, but builds like these really give me different ideas for what to consider in a build.

ohhh my god???? ive been looking for a decent undertale map recently and most of them were made years ago and i kinda don't like them, but this???? hoooollly shitttttt i cant wait i am going to explode when this is released and i can play in it

I think you do need to use world edit because it takes less time and effort than placing the blocks by hand
I definitely wouldn't say its needed, as we enjoy building it all manually, but yea it probably would take less time haha but wheres the fun in that
With the Size of the Build, Do you ever Plan on Building the Entire Mt.Ebott over the build, along with a Possible Surface World and City?
The only thing stopping that from happening is the world height... unfortunaltely we're alrdy as low as can be, and the height is giant! so the original plan _was_ to have a mountain, but unless theres a way to increase the Y limit, it aint possible :/ which is sadge bc it woulda been RLLY fun to make charas town. Who knows, maybe i'll figure it out in the future :P
@@DogeCreations could you maybe have a horizontal nether portal in the drop & build the mountain in the nether?
@@DogeCreations Perhaps Find a way to change the Height Limit in the code, or drop the build down to -64 to have more room if it hasn't been done already, although that could effect alot of important aspects.. Either way, Messing with the code could be one way to accomplish it, perhaps some mods can let you do it, that way It doesn't revert when other people try to Open the map.
@@hironexus doge doesnt know my devious plans! We are definitely doing the surface town. The only thing i havent decided is whether the town should be the deltarune town or an entirely separate town.

considering the map's designed specifically for vanilla textures, there won't be any texture packs.

I’m at the Snowdin part of the video and I wonder if in the end, the part will be inside the Mt.Ebott like the game.
Because even tho it’s already impressive, you guys try to AIM for game accuracy so yeah, wanted to if it would be accurate.
oh theres definitely gonna be a roof dont worry, game accuracy n all that :)) actually already planned some ways it'll be getting done, just might be a bit till we return to snowdin lol. Stone gets boring quick :P

anyway you are absolutly correct. this map looks very good all the little details and the extra stuff above the ruins for example and all the effort put into this, so i cant wait to play it either

@@DogeCreations also a little trick i always use when texturing mountains, i use a mix of gravel stone andesite and light gray concrete powder and sometimes some dead coral blocks

I'm curious if you've watched Hermitcraft, if so, have you seen Tango's music disc shenanigans? They have a mod that makes it so you can upload custom music to music discs, and some mods that make it so you can use redstone to automate discs. Meaning you can play music when people enter an area using skulk and redstone!
I HAVE! Might play around with that, but its a lil funky bc id like it so people can just download the world and it would alrdy have the music, but i suppose i'll need to make a compromise somewhere :P
Another alternative might be a resource/mod pack that edits the music? I'm not sure how any of that works though. Whatever you end up doing, good luck! I'm sure it'll turn out great! :]

I tried making an undertale thing for myself, but i gave up bcs Undertale's world is too big, and my hands couldn't handle it-
yea, undertale can definitely be a tedious thing to build. But it's definitely worth it in the long run :) though, i understand if not everyone has that patience lmao
