Depends on your standard. You don’t need that lightcone to make Acheron good, but it still sucks that she doesn’t have good lightcone options. Damage per screenshot wise GNSW can match her sig LC, but you’re getting less energy, depending on the situation it can effect your gameplay.

They last forever. I remember doing Fu Xuan companion quest in version 1.5, so I think you can do companion quest whenever you want.
Character trial on the other hand, lasts only for when the banner is available

It just won't show in event list, it will be marked as "!" on map. Go and trigger it then you can play the quest
