    John- I am seriously loving these spirit-filled, short podcasts! As a mom of young children, I love that I can listen to these in under 15 mins and get truth and encouragement for my day! Thank you brother! God is so good!

    John, thank you for being such a blessing in my life. From Rebirthing to sword and shield. God has instilled in you a Holy Spirit fire to ignite a revolution. To cause an insurrection amongst Christians against the devil and his hordes of destruction. I want to encourage you to remain vigilant and persistent in this crusade of the revealing and relevance of truth. God bless you.

    Love this! It’s as simple or as hard as we make it. My son has multiple disabilities including autism and blindness. He loves and worships Jesus with his whole heart. He loves without prejudice and couldn’t care less what kind of car you drive, where you’ve been or how much money you make. He forgives totally and almost immediately. He doesn’t know a word of Greek but he knows Jesus.

    "...not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God..." wow, that just kind of hit me... When you walk by earthly wisdom you're trying to figure everything out intellectually, but when we walk by God's grace it's way easier... in fact we can boldly approach the throne of grace in time of need... I walk through the fire by God's grace. Can we let go of the need to understand and just walk in grace? I love the idea of embracing the simplicity of our faith... speaking and acting sincerely from the heart... I guess I don't have to have a grand testimony in order to share my faith.

    The struggles with the body are real for all of us…one day at a time brother, substituting something better in its place, that’s how we defeat a habit.
    Our bodies are given to us by the Lord, temples of the Holy Spirit. If we mistreat our bodies by improper or overconsumption, gluttony, etc… we “miss the mark”. What’s a Hebrew/Greek term for “miss the mark”?….hmmmm.
    We definitely make life too complicated. All the best on your journey 🙏🏻

    John, I'm 36 and I've been given the tools to do what Jesus has called us to do. Sometimes it's a breeze other times it's how weight is it going to break my silence for me to stand firm for Jesus. Its easier to be with sinners to speak Jesus than with my church community and friends. Your new book is going to help speak up for the world live in today. Specially for a guy like me working in the entrainment industry.

    Wow! This makes sense. The world IS CONFUSING! Share the Lord and..."I'm a Catholic. I'm good" or "I'm Hindu/Muslim/Jewish/Mormon/JW/new age/atheist/agnostic. I'm good" or "You're good is evil and hateful and my evil is good and loving" "No thank you. Not interested"
    There is so much more to sharing the greatest News of all times then believer telling unbeliever. Usually the best cases involve talking to people who just don't know what they are

    Jesus said, "apart from me you can do nothing." We cannot gut it out and be obedient in our own strength. We have to walk in the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the desires of the flesh. We need to be in the word and submit to His authority, relying on His power and His wisdom from His word and the moment by moment guidance of the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life. Whether you are a brainiac or just a regular person, everyone has to rely on God to live for Him. Walk in the Spirit!

    Hey John! I’ve been thinking about the simplicity of Christ recently, too. Life gets so complicated with busyness, sickness, and the constant grind. But returning to Scripture is so refreshing (“be strong in the Lord and in the strength of HIS might”). He’s got me covered in everything, I just have to keep focused on Him. Thank you for being a godly Christian leader that young guys like myself can look to as we follow Christ. God bless you and your family, John!

    John, one of the biggest declines in American churches is the neglect of personal Bible reading. Bible reading, not intense bible study, a time set aside daily to hear from God through bible reading, prayer, and meditation. Western civilization is so spoon fed with pastors, pod casts, and UA-cam. Its time to make it simple by reading the bible and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us in all Truth.
    I love listening to podcasts. BTW, but my beliefs must be my beliefs based on God's Words not man's.
    God bless you

    @2:29 "I'm no theologian."
    Technically, every Christian is a theologian because they should be studying God and His Word. But we are are all not professional theologians, i.e. we don't all have Bible degrees.

    Systematic theology and the like, really ruined the simplicity and beauty of the true and living Jesus Christ and the living Gospel. This is why the world outside of the American reformed church, is thriving so much.
    The time has come and already is, that the true worshippers, must take the Bible, and just keep reading it, crying out to the Holy Spirit, for wisdom and understanding.

      @@Preach348 and yet, the most times it is spoken of primarily is where the least amount of the power of God is manifest. The countries outside of the west, where they resemble the book of acts the most, have very little, if any reliance on knowing theology, doctrine, this or that scholar or theologian, etc. The implosion of Islam, by the power of God, has nothing to do with idolizing John MacArthur and the doctrines of grace

    • @dominiclapinta8537
      @dominiclapinta8537 9 місяців тому

      @@Preach348 I care about original intent. I have seen too much changing of original intent, in the name of exegesis, etc. I know perfectly well what theology, etc, means. But I see the greatest examples of God's manifesting power, in the places where there is no arguing over which Bible translation is "closer to the original manuscripts", etc. When theology, etc, is done rightly, then great. But often times, people do things wrong, but because a popular theologian or scholar says his interpretation is right, people in the west more, go along with it. The same goes for music like "even if by mercyme". Bad theology, but because it is the kind of song it is, and says the words "it is well", then so many go along with it.
