- To start the day of celebrations of at St Augustine of Canterbury's anniversay celebrations in Oklahoma City Dean Robert is looking at the reluctance felt by St Augustine and how we might see that also in ourselves and others around us and how we should try to overcome that or to help others to overcome that shyness so that they might realise their potential.
Apologies for the sound, it is working but it is quite quiet - as I explained in the travelogue under "Community" on this youtube site for the Garden Cogregation
Just excellent!! Learned more about the Church’s history, plus insight into the Dean’s vocation as well!!! ♥️♥️🌺🌺
Oh. Plus thoughts on vocation for myself. Since I retired from nursing about 3 years ago now, I’ve felt a bit lost. I think I mentioned this in a past comment. I’m keeping my eyes open for whatever God has in store for me - which includes listening daily to the Dean in current times or in past GC videos!! ♥️♥️🌺🌺
Brilliant! It is a great insight to know the Dean's first path, so he thought, was in the Foreign Office. That makes perfect sense to those of us who have been blessed to study with him daily at Morning Prayer. Thank you all!
Lovely message. Thanks so much for putting it online.
Thank you for this inspirational message.
The sound isn’t entirely clear but
I’ll take Dean Robert any way I can get him❣️😂 So good to see him again🌷
Amen! So wonderful to have Dean Robert and Fletcher on UA-cam again.
Thank you for sharing this.
It's simply wonderful 🙏🕊️
So fascinating to hear Dean Willis' vocational journey!
Thank you again Dean Willis & Fletcher for this incredible trip we are on with you with blogs & wonderful pictures.
The message today was very helpful to me especially as what was my vocation now as a 80 year old.
I had been a nurse,a wife & mother & a servant for many church duties & now felt hardly worthy.
I felt much better after hearing the story about the 80 year old.. 👏🙏❤️
Dear Carol, thank you for reaching out and don't worry, there are times when we each of us feels a bit down and unworthy - i know i do!! But - and i try to tell myself this - you have to remember that in God's eyes I believe we are all already on the worthy scale, it is just what we do with our hearts and minds to help others that makes our gratitude for that faith that the Lord has in us worthwhile and valid and by the sound of things you have MORE than done that your life through so God bless you on this glorious day for the night has passed...
Sending a big hug to brighten your day a little - the thought of it certainly brightens mine!
Thank you again for being in touch,
Fx
And 80 is only a number - there are people of 20 who are doing far less good in the world than you are and it all ultimately comes down to intent!
What a lovely introduction. Amen and amen.
So delighted to see you back in the States again! Loved to hear the stories about Gregory and Augustine- but especially the insights about vocation and the work of God that we can all participate in. You guys are a gift to the Church, and a gift to the world with the message you share.
Thoughtful, beautiful insights. Loved the story about Mary. Will have to listen again to take it all in. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing Dean Robert's wonderful message. It was especially interesting to hear about how his own vocation developed. I am sure that he would have made an excellent diplomat, but he has been able to use those skills and a host of others in the Church. I am so thankful for him.
❤
