the thing is my hair looks VERY different from day to day, so I didn't want to have to try to style it again in roughly the same shape... that never works haha. I did have to redo my hair but I had just taken it down from the bun, so I just had to pin it back up.... not as bad as having to try to restyle it the next day!

Ahhh there were so many edits in this video from vehicles! (maybe like 40-50), it's hard cuz some of them are quiet enough that I can power through, but some sneak up on you and suddenly make a terrible loud sound! I think I've decided I'm just not going to film in that room unless necessary! And yeah, I knew like none of that information ahead of time, I just did like an hour of research on types of suits haha

(buttoned shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts, bed linens, curtains...) I like the sound of the iron passing over the fabric. :) Have you got taffeta fabric or something like that for ironing?
That actually sounds like a really good video! Kind of reminds me of some of the classic videos gentle whispering used to do. I don't have any taffeta unfortunately, but I think I've got enough "noisy" fabrics to experiment with. :) I'm deffo adding this to my list, but I've got quite a few videos on my planned list already, so it might not be for like 3 weeks haha
aaaaaah noooo I had written a comment but made the mistake of not sending it when I was done writing and the page reloaded when I came back to it and the message is gone :/. It was a very pleasant roleplay!! I always enjoy it when the video combines the relaxation of ASMR with some sort of educational/informative content! I never realised that there were different types of lapels so I went to check the jacket of my suit and as you can guess, it's the first type. But I actually do have a jacket with a shawl lapel (a kind of tuxedo jacket) that I bought from a costumes shop that was closing down and that I sometimes wear for my dance shows. Funny/interesting fact: the name of the pattern "houndstooth" is translated in French as "pied-de-poule" (hen's foot)! I enjoy how thorough you are in your approach and go through all the details, and I also enjoy how you make us feel cared for! And as I've already told you, your smile is irresistible! Thank you for this great video as usual!
I love learning at least a bit in my ASMR as well! Feels like two birds with one stone haha I didn't actually know any of this one ahead of time, this was mostly from 1-2 hours of research ahead of time to try to figure out enough information to seem informed! Yeah shawl is usually used for tuxedos, so that makes sense. Love that it's called hens foot! I'm wondering now what it's called in all the languages and which one is the sillyest!

Wow you did your research just a couple of hours before recording and that was enough to come across as very knowledgeable about the topic, wow, that's impressive! I had a quick look at translations in other languages, here are a few examples: -Spanish, it's the same as in French: Pata de Gallo -Russian: "crow's feet" -Swedish: "dog tooth", -Belarussian: "Goose foot" -Bulgarian: "greyhounds teeth".

Oh my gosh what a life saver! I figured out it's because sometimes I'll try to "undo" an action that's not undoable, so it just undoes the last actual action I did (which is normally re-add a bit that I've cut haha) instead. I definitely owe you a beer or a glass of wine at this point!! 😀

Love suit fitting ASMR tough I've never been to a real one, seems like it would be too expensive for something I'm only gonna wear one or a few times and then grow too fat for or simply not use because it was so expensive. Id like to dress up more for every day, but if I'm gonna do that I'm gonna need something that's A: Machine washable so I don't have to take it to the dry cleaners every week and B: Cheep enough that it's not the end of the world if I get a stain on it or it rips or looses a button or something.
Yeah, it's super difficult to find something that looks nice, is cheap, and is easily maintained! I heard of someone who bought all his clothes from the thrift store and then had them tailored to him so they looked more expensive haha
@@MapleWhispersASMR Thats one way to do it I guess. I'm alway a bit apprehensive about clothes from the thrift store, especially if they are dry clean only. If they are machine washable sure, I can just give them a spin before using them, but I stay away from second hand dry clean stuff. Al throughout High-School and uni I used to wear a white button up shirt with a black vest on top everyday, which I was very comfortable in, but finding machine washable west was pretty much impossible, so I would sew my own, or get my mom to do it, since she's a better seamstress than me, but now during the pandemic I've gained a bit of weight and most of my old vests don't fit anymore and now I'm wondering if it's worth it to sew new ones. I want to loose the weight I gained, but I don't know if I have it in me to actually do it, or how long it will take. Not making new bigger vests might motivate me, I have to loose the weight to get back into my clothes, but what am I going to wear in the meantime?
@@Blixthand "weight loss clothes" are such a difficult choice! I mean I would say there's no time like the present to get started on getting healthier! Always start with very small achievable goals like "5 minutes of exercise"... although I say this knowing I sould be excercising more and eating less at the moment! haha
@@MapleWhispersASMR Yeah, I'm still trying to find a method that suits me and is sustainable long term. Even before Covid I wanted to loose a few, but went about it all wrong, burned myself out, never saw any progress, had constant headaches and felt nauseous on a daily basis and actually for a while got really depressed and did some self harm. Never got too serious, cause I realized what was causing it and stopped my exercising and diets and quite quickly managed to turn my mental health around (I wouldn't say I'm super happy now, but I'm at least not depressed or hurting myself and that's been stable for almost 3 years now). After that I'm very cautious to get back into any kind of exercise or weight loss plans, I want to loose weight, but I'd rather die an early death due to weight related problems than live with bad mental health (which might also lead to early death), so I'm approaching anything with baby steps right now. Just a few weeks ago I decided to really make an effort to eat less, especially carbs, but to keep eating the same foods as usual. It's been going OK so far and I feel if I can get used to eating less over all it will be easier to change other things about my diet step by step in the future. Sorry this got a bit serious, I probably shouldn't unload to strangers on the internet in a youtube comment section, but you're always very nice in your comments and no-one in my real life listens to me anyway, so it's easy to get carried away.

I know how difficult being healthy can be particularly with mental health issues... especially when people keep saying "oh just exercise more and then you'll be happier", because that's not how depression works at all. But it sounds like you're on a good path with your baby steps, and I wish you all the luck on your journey! :)
My dad always said I had the most expressive eyes and eyebrows when I was a baby, so he would have little conversations with me just based off my eyes haha Thank you! 😊
My uncle LOOOOVES scotch, and one year for christmas he made me try a sip from a $900 bottle... I tried SO HARD to like it, but I just couldn't haha... maybe someday I'll acquire the taste! 😅
