  • The 1st all acoustic BOC show, on our home turf - Long Island!
This was planned as the first show of our 40th Anniversary celebration weekend as we were scheduled to play NYC the following night.
We had flown in many of our extended BOC family for the weekend festivities however, Super-storm Sandy had other plans for us however and the NYC show was postponed.

    What a cool kickass show!
I don't know why but I kept expecting "Magna of Illusion" or "Shadow Warrior" to appear in this set.

I was lucky enough to have attended this show at The Landmark- and sitting approximately at the camera's viewpoint. It was my 23rd time catching these guys. The sound quality at the venue was amazing- kudos to the sound engineer! I had VIP tickets for the show the next night, but Hurricane Sandy attacked Manhattan. The 40th gig was obviously canceled. Rescheduled for the following week, but I had come in from out of town and there's only so many vacation days in a year. The word was to batten down the hatches. I was staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Times Square and figured I'd better get some supplies to wait out the storm. Well, I had pre-gamed by that time. My food selection of beef jerky, salted cashews, a sixer of Grolsch and a pint of bourbon reflected my decision making abilities. As the night wore on and the storm continued to rage I entertained thoughts of standing in the middle of Times Square- just to say that I did it. (For example, if I ever wanted to post a comment on UA-cam.) I had gotten to the point of pocketing the bourbon and tying my sneaks until one tiny slice of non-pickled brain matter whispered..."It's not THAT the wind blows jackwagon; it's WHAT the wind blows." So, I stayed in and woke the next morning in a foggy haze. Good times, man...

I was at this concert! Flew from Italy specifically to attend this show and the NYC 40th anniversary show. The NYC show was cancelled because of hurricane Sandy but at least I had the opportunity to be at this one of a kind live performance. After the show I had the luck to meet Jules lovely wife and son Julius and Richie and Anna Marie and invited to the backstage celebration where I had a great time and meeting the rest of the band and families and hang out with other hard core fans of the band. I’m very fond of a photo with Sam Judd (aka Count Culo, R.I.P.) and me there. One enchanted evening for sure! Thank you BOC for being an essential part of my life.

@@elfman5176 glad to see someone sharing the same passion for BOC. it’s my favorite band too since the first time I saw them live at the Kansas Coliseum in Wichita, KS, on early 1982 during the Extraterrestrial Live tour. I was 17 at that time and the band performance blew me away. I had been been a devoted “Cultist” since then and had the chance to see them live several times throughout the decades, mostly in Europe, where I reside (gigs in Italy, the UK, Germany and France), but also the 50th anniversary gig in NYC on September 2022.

@@natalebabbo-gunplaanddioramas You know I’ve met hundreds of fans on the internet and some of us have met up for different shows
But there some of us have become great friends and never miss a BOC show Some people only know the songs they play on the radio
There are so many more incredible songs Buck Dharma is the my favorite guitarist of all Time and Eric is an amazing singer
      Are they big in Europe?
If you ever come to Pennsylvania
      We’d love to hang out
Got my young nephews to become huge fans
      I love The Symbol Remains

My list of the best five songs of the Stoned Age is (in no particular order):
    Comfortably Numb
    Astronomy
    Flaming Telepaths
    Can't Find My Way Home
    Little WIng
If I extend the list to 10 I add:
    Court of the Crimson King
    Nature's Way
    Radar Love
    A Song For You
Condition (Newbury's-or Hipchen's-version. 1st Edition's gaudy imitation almost ruined it)
Each of these works touched my soul at the exact right instant. Note that only one act/band gets two songs.
Disclaimer: I read City in the Autumn Stars back then, too, boys. ;-)

They have other songs that they should be playing that they don’t - like redeemed, unknown tongue, nosferatu...
