You made a very good job! It's complicated to asume all the notes and ideas. A pure musicianship curved your braincapacity. Welcome to the show that never ends!
Hey, so I’m deeply appreciative of the fact that you stayed up for that reaction vid. Thanks a bunch 👍 And you’ve almost come up with an instant cover of this song! 🤣 So but no, this wasn’t recorded live. In fact, that vid here was filmed in the same music hall in Sweden where their previous release, “Run Away”, was filmed, and includes that same pink Capybara backdrop ;) But yeah, as you’ve said, their musicianship is on another level! It also has, apart from mixing so many genres, that uncanny film score feel to it. It’s an epic piece, with so many contrasts in sound and style. Someone commented on their video: “Dirty Loops bravely asked the question: wtf is a genre?” 😉 Their use of romantic/classically inspired music writing, -they’ve used all the tricks in the book. Chromatic progressions, harmonic changes and substitutions, constant major/minor changes, the drone/pedal point sections, how they use extension and contraction of musical phrases, and yeah, Jonah’s famous, squeaky clean pentatonic runs (someone once suggested he might’ve swallowed a fretboard, his runs are so clean). And yes, you’ve said it: that synths sections swings like mad! It’s also super in the pocket -you just have to groove with it! Your face at 3:53, hahaha 😉 that passage is it’s outrageous! Also, what you hear is a real string orchestra on this track. Kudos again to the writing and arranging of this! These strings add so much, I feel. Thanks again for a great reaction, my friend 🙏
Rachmaninoff is one of Jonahs inspirations, which he listens to a lot, so no wonder it's in the blend with all the other genres. You should check out some of the songs with really film music vibes that both Jonah ("Borrowed time" or "Now or Never" - or the gorgeous very short "Last farewell") and Aron (check out the channel ARVID & ARON here on youtube) have made. The capybara (not a hamster) in the background was also on "Run away" so my guess is it's the cover for the new album...
OMG they have done it again ..Fantastic !! if this not the new Bond movie theme then this should be, even the title for a Bond movie fits , James Bond in 'When the time is right'...they need to be commissioned to write a Bond Theme or some other Epic movie score...best band on the planet at present.
Primera vez en el canal. Me gustó tu reacción!
They have a long credit list where they really tell you a lot of how did what where, and they also have some crazy little jokes in there (you might have to translate from Swedish to get all of it, unless you all know Swedish of course). The hamster is Henrik's favorite animal, a capybara. He also designed it. Oh, by the way, a delightful reaction! Also, did you miss the release of Run Away?
My music students: “what genre is this?”
Me: “Yes”.
Great. Movie!🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Every song they do is an EVENT., and this is a MASTERPIECE event.
It’s like if YES , dream theater , and Mozart had a baby.
Ahahah and Pat Metheny !
Real strings.. Check the credits.. Just gorgeous
Oooh, thank you!

Thank you and thanks for the correction with the capybara - I also thought that it's probably their new album artwork or something like that.
Dirty Loops is probably my favorite band on the planet right now. they are just: Unique!
Absolutely, also somewhere at the top for me!
Great reaction! If you missed the pink rodent, you’re probably also missed their previous release “Run Away”. Highly recommended!
