Technically if you use Chef or Maid Ryoshu and use it in a Lust resonance at Uptie 4, you refund 3 Wrath, 2 Envy, 2 Lust or 4 Lust, 2 Pride, 1 Wrath respectively making it effectively cost 7 instead of 14 which is cheaper than for example Wailing Hong Lu, a TETH EGO. And yes, when you use an EGO you do get 1 resource from it's type, in this case 1 Lust.

The relevant text is: "[After Attack] If this Skill was part of a Lust Reson., gain 1 E.G.O resource in Affinities corresponding to each of this unit's Attack Skills" Refunding 3 resources for an incredibly easy to satisfy conditional is still pretty amazing though and brings the cost in line with other WAW E.G.O (average WAW cost is 11). It's passive also makes Ryoshu generate whatever sins you have the least of which can be amazingly helpful and really helps make up for the slightly inflated base cost. It's really an amazing E.G.O in terms of both looks and effects. It really carried me in the later stages of RR4 with it's massive DPS, Buffs, and gloom generation from the passive.

Ego rolls 10+7, I had 2 atk up so first coin should roll 19 but it rolled a 27 which sounds about right if we consider both gifts' boost. It should actually be 28 tbh since 10 (base) + 7 (coin) +2 (atk up) +2(bloody mist) +7(fragment), idk where 1 power disappeared to EDIT: nvm I can't read
Do you reckon there’s any real use cases for the corrosion? I really love how it looks and I think it’ll be generally a stronger option against single enemies with one body part even with only one coin, but learning that contempt does actually stick around after 1 turn if not maxed out does change things slightly for me.

Just slot in Identity’s that will build up the resources for it if you’re worried about that lol. Ryoshu has the chef and maid ones which are great for that. Even if it was hard to use it’s still the coolest EGO in the game.
