Match was fusterating to say the least, but I have high hopes for the guys. Im excited to see JP and Rusnak with De La Vega

Fair play to them. Until we prove that we can beat a bunkering team by threading forward passes through traffic or by shooting accurately from distance between defenders, this will be how a lot of poor teams get points from us.
@@jacct9712 even as a Sounders fan, fair play to you. When you look at the table, nothing but points matter. Shots, possession, beauty, whatever. Sounders got the same point Austin did.

Wouldn't it be so cool if we had a young group of players who played their way on to the team, that everyone liked very much, and got better every single year, except they couldn't actually score?
The clear winner here was AFC scooting home.with a point. This is maddening. Has Morris gotten even slower? The bright spots for me were the usual ones, Nouhou in the back, Chu down the side. Pedro had great effort too!
Just one of those days where the ball just refused to go over the line.

I have noticed that the Sounders are way too predictable/stagnant in the box. Too many blocked shots. There needs to be more movement off the ball with better pass interaction. Have to say as much as I like Morris, he needs to score. That late header should have been in the back of the net.

Real talk: Why has this team been so lethargic at scoring goals? Better yet, why is this team so inept at scoring goals?
We surely have the quality but it's been the same thing week in, week out.
The best we could do was draw a game with a team that didn't even register a single shot until 75+ minutes in.
Next game is away against Philly, hopefully we'll find a way to nab all three points.
They have possession. They don’t have finishers. Morris is especially wasteful
0:50 (minute 18 on the game clock) was the most frustrating moment of the match for me. Pedro was making a really nice run between defenders and Nouhou ignored him and tried to go for goal himself. A well-weighted pass could have set Pedro up for an easy shot. I like Nouhou just fine, but he is not the answer to our goalscoring problem. The midfield (and defenders briefly pretending to be midfielders) need to be aware of their teammates who are trying to time runs. This has been a running theme since last year. Pedro is new, but the players who have been here for a while have no excuse to have such bad rapport in the final third.

100% of the recap was seattle attacking, i didnt even saw an offensive play made by austin fc, does that tell you how bad afc is or how unlucky they were
No, that tells you how defensively they’re playing until they get driussi back.
It blows my mind that there was 7 minutes of highlights here. Weak and boring performance despite the one sided stats.
Sounders have to get a striker who can finish. Going to be another season of poor scoring with Rui and Morris up top. Wasteful
Morris has gotten glacial in mph. And bringing Raul on is an emotional move not a goal scoring move. I agree we need finishers!
I just keep in mind that our best years start with the worst first 10 games.

Josh Wolfe probably needs to hear the message, “it is not working”. That is the slowest moving, build out of the back offense in MLS. EVERY team knows exactly what is going to happen, so it is easy to defend. LAFC play a similar style, the difference is they do it at speed. What does Austin do, stop the ball dead, look up, no players making runs, no creativity. It is frustrating to watch.
So typical of any Seattle Pro team in Seattle Since 2014. It's still early in the Season. Too many shots right at the goalie and wide shots for the Sounders.
Sad Sounders Football, there is no good change, I understand that they want to give young people the opportunity but the technical director cannot be doing that, putting inexperienced people as starters, bad decisions to not win games at home is something that is not starting well. Seattle team😢
