Raised beds are very helpful for me and all my aches and pains. Helps to keep the dogs from trampling new seedlings and mature crops. Putting in 6-8 new beds this year!
My tip- as someone who put off gardening for years and only started last year- was not to wait for the picture perfect garden to start. Use whatever you have (we used old cinder blocks on our property) to make garden beds and start! And not to focus on the things that didn’t go great, but celebrate every small win!
My tip for gardening is to plan your garden carefully. Make sure you plant things your family will eat and plant an abundance of them. You never know what might happen (loss of job, illness, weather). As far as what I would use the trays for is to be able to start my seeds early and be able to help my kids with starting their own gardens each year. Love your videos.
I am 83 years old and have been gardening and preserving for over sixty years. We raised six children and most of them have the same passion for all the ways I have gardened and preserved. We actually still have family canning, ravioli making, sausage making and baking session. I love starting my seed for not only our garden but for the children and grandchildren. I am now teaching many of our adult grand and some of the friends how to can. Taking care of what the Good Lord has provided to us is my passion. You have a lovey family! I think these seed starting trays are a great new way to begin the new growing season. I will shop for a couple of them to add to my supply.
This will be my third year gardening! I’ve been reusing old seed trays that plugs come in for seed starting, so this tray would be SO helpful! Especially for when it’s time to harden off seedlings, I wouldn’t have to carry so many little trays outside everyday!
I start hundreds of seeds every spring and always fight with the flimsy plastic of seed starting supplies. These look amazing and I would love to use them this year! A tip: grow flowers with your veggies - they bring a smile to my face every time I enter the garden.
I am a big fan of Vego beds (I only have two and hope to get more someday) I have been eyeing their seed starting trays as they look so much more sturdy and long lasting ....but that drip irrigation is everything!! I would love to use this system to start seeds for the garden 2025. I am in 5b so Mid Feb. is the start of the season for us. Gardening tip: Remember its a Journey, Every year will have its challenges and successes. Dont give up when you fail. Happy Gardening!
BEST TIP... Its all about the soil!! Make sure you use organic products and test the soil for the greatest success. A proper greenhouse is a great investment!!
This will be my 2nd year gardening, and I could use all the help I can get. I am a mom to 6 kids, 3 who are special needs and another who has several autoimmune diseases. We are slowly trying to learn how food and health all work together. Giving my kids the best quality food I can is very important to me. I feel like either of these amazing kits would be such a huge help to me this coming gardening season. Thanks for the opportunity.
Just found your channel. Your awesome. I am 71 so my husband and I put in 5 raised beds and two green stalks. We grew so much food and loved the raise bed gardens. I have gardened for most of my adult life , 20x 40 garden but needed to prepare for my older years so I can continue. Thank you for all your tips. ❤
@@lindakrieger6667 thank you for the kind words! While I don’t personally have any Greenstalks, we did buy one for my mother-in-law last year. It’s awesome!!! I also have visions of getting her a couple of raised beds. She has always done in ground, and similar size to you. The ease of tall beds is really attractive.
Gardening tip - You can grow cherry tomatoes in 5-gallon buckets on a porch or balcony, you can grow lettuce in a 2-gallon bucket too. Some varieties of cucumbers can be grown in pots as well. So, you see, you don't need a lot of land to grow a tasty salad. You can also grow sprouts in a container in your kitchen - Wow! I make all of our bread products, pretzels, english muffins and bagels here at home too. I wish I could afford a flour mill.
I'm new to gardening, so I'm here to soak in all the tips. I've learned quickly that what will be, will be in the garden. You cannot force things to happen, just go with it.
I am in the beginning stages of homesteading in the city right now. The past two years I have had to delay the garden of my dreams due to pregnancies that took a lot out of me. However, I have new raised beds installed, and we have been working for over a year on building mulch into these beds by basically throwing all cardboard boxes, kitchen scraps, and even some logs as the base for our soil breakdown. This year we will attempt to buy some dirt from our city which is apparently really good for cheap and fill these beds so that I can begin the adventure of a bountiful harvest for my family not only this spring/summer, but also throughout the winter. I am newish to gardening, and the best advice I have been given is to not overthink it. Granted did I buy the adjustable planner so that I know when to start my seeds this winter, yes. I also bought a soul testing kit and am currently ordering my 2025 almanac. However, it is easy to overthink everything when really it's all about getting the seeds in their starts or in the ground and watching them grow. Then adjust your process based on how they respond.
These vego trays look great. The drip irrigation style would be awesome, I always start out well but get inconsistent. These seem like they would help a lot.
My gardening tip would be to just start at whatever budget you have to work with. Everything doesn't have to be perfect. Start small & add something new to grow each season.
I think I may have met your channel during last years challenge. So glad I found your channel. you teach such great things. My gardening tip is nothing is EVER a fail-it is all a learning experince.
What a neat seed tray set. Haven’t seen this before. Tips for gardening success-do your research. Read and read some more. Find good gardening books and watch many YT videos when you’re first starting out (actually never stop learning). Expect some things to do well and others to flop. I’m surprised every year at what does well and what doesn’t. Plus, it’s interesting how one year something does fantastic, then the next it barely grows. I also challenge myself to try at least three new varieties or totally different plants each year. Keeps it interesting.
My tip for small garden starts. Collect food grade 5 gallon buckets from restaurants and bakeries, drill drainage holes in the bottom and about 2 inches from the bottom around the bucket.
I have not been Able to have a garden for the last five years. I think this year will be the year. I am excited to start. The seed starting kit would be a great addition. Thanks for the opportunity and for showcasing these products and thanks for sharing your recipes.
Useful and favorite gardening tip as a new gardener was to spend time in my garden in the beginning to become in tune with my plants. Thank you and Vega for this opportunity!
I had ankle surgery on both ankles so I have needed to be creative since I can no longer kneel on the ground. I now grow potatoes by using what looks like a fenced in gazebo adding dirt and straw to the inside. Once the potatoes are ready to harvest I just remove the fencing and the potatoes fall out. You can easily use this on a patio adding more dirt and straw as the plant grows ensuring to leave a couple of leaves for each plant uncovered to ensure they get sunlight.
My only gardening tip is, if you have a giant groundhog that digs everything up EXCEPT for garlic and onions ..... plant garlic and onions 😉. As for the Vego seed starting trays, those look awesome!! I thought they only have beds! I will also start onions in them!!!
The ankarsrum is a lifesaver for making bread. I absolutely adore it. Garden tip, I'm in florida...start seeds early and try to shade longer growing plants. That seed tray would be in use always. Great video 😊
I have had to switch to raised bed gardening with my terrible soil here. I have had such bad luck in the past with starting seeds. Really I’m thinking it was the terrible soil I put them into after they were started. These trays look amazing. I think I’ll try seeds again.
This would be a gift for me if I won we just bought a new home with land and this would be my first time gardening so I’m new to gardening learning everything trying to be self-sufficient in every way possible so love learning so this would be a dream for me as I am new to everything homesteading so 🤞🏻for me🤗 but really for anybody who wins this awesome giveaway🥰🎉🫶🏻 Thank you to you all for doing this. Winning this would be so wonderful. I have started seeds each year for the last 8-10 years in recycled nursery pots and second hand trays and an upgrade would make a huge difference.
That’s the coolest thing ever. I never knew that existed or that company! My tip, is just to start whether it’s one container or one crop just start. I’d use these to help expand my homeschooling for my kids and use it as a learning experience for not just my kids but myself. Happy New Year 🎉
I agree! Years ago, I "planted" a salsa garden in a few flower pots and promptly killed them all within a month. I'm so grateful that I decided to give it another go. Gardening brings me contentment. Thanks for watching!
@ Me too! I lost my dad about years ago and my mom in July this past year and gardening has helped and continues to help. I’m growing as well as my plants and thankful for both 🙌🏼
My gardening tip is to try different ways to vegetable garden if you can. In-ground, containers, and raised beds. Take notes as to how each plant performs in however you're growing it. Do whatever works for you, and make it enjoyable!
I’m not sure I really have a gardening tip except never give up. If something fails in your garden this year learn why it happened and do something different next year. The Vego seedling trays look and sound amazing. I didn’t have a lot of success last year in my garden last year so these would really help me to do something do and not give up. Thank you. Ok and I love your videos the way you do them.
Those seed starting trays are awesome! I believe I would use the big one for onions also. My tip would be to start your seeds early to get a head start on your gardening.
Start small. Focus on just the items you and your family will eat. If your family won’t eat it, you are wasting time and resources. Starting small allows you to focus on specific items and see success. 🥰
I fought with my onion seedlings last year and am really excited to us this astonishing tool. I plant 2000 onions yearly for my husband and our local food bank. Jean Colorado USA

Buy open pollinated heirloom seeds and seed save! It's a bit of an investment up front (seeds $3-$4 bucks a pk add up!) but then your seeds get better year after year for your growing area❤
I will be starting my first garden this year. The plant and pop sounds idea for beginners. The seed starting bundle is definitely a must have. Thank you sharing!
The seed starting bundle looks like exactly what I need. My tip is too not stress over making mistakes because that's how you learn especially with gardening.
The best advice I can give someone is to just go for it and go for it now! ❤ I have seen so many people say they will start when they have 40+ acres for a really big garden, or they will start “one day”.. and I used to think the same way! I finally just “went for it” with a container and some soil and a transplant and I am so glad I did! I made it work with the small $20 or so I had and now I am going into my 3rd year of growing. Not a pro but I am so happy I went for it and am learning each year and not just dreaming. that prize is wonderful! thanks for the chance 🌱🤍
It has been a few years since I’ve had a garden, and I’m planning to start again this year. Those trays look amazing! They would be so helpful to get the seeds going! I have so enjoyed watching your videos and learning more about homesteading from you. Thank you for a great channel!
Those are some awesome seed starting options. =) My tip would be to grow things that are hard or expensive to source locally. Herbs are so much more expensive in the store. I can’t find fresh locally or afford to order online many of the herbs/plants I like to use for tea like lemon verbena, pineapple sage, stevia, etc, so those make sense for me to grow. I most often grocery shop on foot and carry groceries home in my backpack. So I grow delicate things like tomatoes and berries that would get squashed in my backpack.
My tip is to utilize all space available. Rotate planting and use.cinder blocks around raised beds to grow herbs in. Some herbs repel bugs and are edible. It also helps to keep them from spreading and getting overtaken by other plants.
My gardening tip is to do raised beds. I also got last year some barrels. To grow potatoes. Worked well toooo. I have my seeds to do it again in 2025. This new trays would awesome. Thank you
Love gardening and regeneration, renewal and hope it brings! So excited to start teaching my granddaughter about gardening and healing benefit of getting hands dirty in the garden!
One of my best gardening tips is to mulch any dirt paths between your beds with straw. It's inexpensive and easy. to do. This creates a soft surface on which to kneel without getting dirty while working the beds. More importantly, it keeps weeds from sprouting in the paths and blowing into nearby beds.
I love the design of the seedling tray. It makes it so easy and uniformed when starting seeds. Then being able to pop out the starts is fantastic. Thanks for sharing some of the Vego Gardens products with us! Happy gardening!! 🧅🫑🧄🥒🌶
I live in the city with poor soil. Doesn’t matter what or where I plant this summer, I only am shooting for 1 kind of veggies that fill my dehydrator once and one whole 4 quarts of something in my new pressure cooker!!!! My tip is, doesn’t matter the size of your garden, it’s the feeling of self reliance n pride that counts!!!
Those Vego trays look so neat. I've never seen anything like them before. i'm hoping to start my onions too soon and would love a chance to win the first kind of trays you talked about in your video!
I use raised beds because I’m disabled and I have a disease in my hands that makes it hard to start seeds. That looks like it would be the great way for me to do my seeds and easier on my hands.
I am just a few years into gardening. I am so ready to get seeds started. I am very hopeful this year to have a good harvest. Got some good seeds. (I've always saved some from g-store & it worked but not the best production. I purchase some heirloom seeds so just need seeds trys and ready to go here in a few week! Yay! Ps..Loving your channel
These trays are sooo cool!! I’m new at gardening but I would say start with using what you have or can get used. I saved all my plant trays whenever I went to my local nursery and then asked on my local Buy Nothing group for their old sheet pan trays and used those when I started my seeds. I didn’t have a lot of money to begin and this helped me to still obtain my gardening goals.
I hear this completely! I started with red solo cups and a tiny light from Amazon with all of my starts in our kids' bathroom. Starting this way takes the pressure off because you aren't investing a bunch of money. Good luck, and thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing those trays, they look amazing. I could use them for my. Egret able garden but they large tray would be amazing for starting my flowers. I will definitely be checking them out.
Wow. Thos are amazing. A seedling tray is infinitely useful for us as we live where our growming aeason is very short ... We HAVE to start our seeds inside.
This will be my 2nd time starting a garden ever. I would love to start from seed rather than getting plants. I really want to start growing my own produce organically so I don't have to rely on the store.
My gardening tip is to plan realistically for how much of each thing you like to eat , plant accordingly and in waves, so not everything ripens at once. Also have plans on how you will process/meal plan what you grow BEFORE you harvest. Those plnt n pop seed starters look very useful for starting my tomatoes..
Gardening tip- gardening a little is better than no gardening at all.
Raised beds are very helpful for me and all my aches and pains. Helps to keep the dogs from trampling new seedlings and mature crops. Putting in 6-8 new beds this year!
My tip is just to enjoy the time you spend gardening regardless of the results!
I do winter sowing (that's my tip!), but I'd like to give this a try as well.
I second this tip. I do a mix of winter sowing, indoor seed starts and direct sowing.
My tip- as someone who put off gardening for years and only started last year- was not to wait for the picture perfect garden to start. Start early and sow in succession. So many crops can thrive in cooler autumn temperatures, and you get extra yields from the same space.
Garden tip. Every “failure” is a learning experience. Try again, maybe a new way until you find what works for you…don’t give up!
This is genius! It would make give me more confidence with my garden!

Fabulous suggestions! Thanks for sharing!
Those cucs seem to either be love or hate. For us it was hate, but you never know until you try! Thanks for sharing!
I love the 12 square foot gardening method. I like to map out my garden boxes so I know who their neighbors are to get great yields!
My tip is to utilize all space available. Rotate planting and use.cinder blocks around raised beds to grow herbs in. Some herbs repel bugs and are edible. It also helps to keep them from spreading and getting overtaken by other plants.
Herbs are a big one for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, the drip starter cube is great. Thanks for the giveaway. I garden in raised beds and have limited space.
I feel the exact same way! Happy gardening!
My gardening tip is a garden journal. Keep track of what works, tips for the following season etc.
@@JanalynVoigt this is a great tip!
I love the design of the seedling tray. It makes it so easy and uniformed when starting seeds. Then being able to pop out the starts is fantastic. Thanks for sharing some of the Vego Gardens products with us! Happy gardening!! 🧅🫑🧄🥒🌶
@@jenmag0313 same to you! Thanks for watching!
Love that you’re getting your onions started early this year. It’s great to make progress, even just year on year.
I would love to try this new to gardening.
@@BobbieXxoo I agree, wholeheartedly!
I'm not very good at gardening, but I think these products would be a real game changer.
I don't always have success with seed starting, but I keep buying seeds and trying. So my tip would be to not give up!
Those Vego trays look so neat. I've never seen anything like them before. i'm hoping to start my onions too soon and would love a chance to win the first kind of trays you talked about in your video!
👍
My tip is to pray over the hands that sow, the seeds that grow, the mouths that eat, and the Lord from whom all blessings flow.
Always have FUN while gardening.
Same here! There isn't much like connecting back to nature!
The plant pop looks extremely efficient! 🎉
I use raised beds because I’m disabled and I have a disease in my hands that makes it hard to start seeds. That looks like it would be the great way for me to do my seeds and easier on my hands.
These items would be a great motivation to start your seeds.
My favorite tip is to plant flowers with your veggies. They attract polinators and can repel/distract pests!
That’s a great way to create a more natural and symbiotic system!
After loosing my garden last year in a hurricane, I am having to plant a lot this year. I think these seed starter's would make life a little easier.
It’s definitely a challenge starting over, but I'm sure you’ll get everything going! Good Luck!
I would like one successful seed starting for the last 4 years I’ve been hit or miss. Bug pressure eating my starts when planted.
That system would actually help my post brain injury manage starting a garden. So much of the thought process already done. I could start this year!
Wow. Thos are amazing. A seedling tray is infinitely useful for us as we live where our growming aeason is very short ... We HAVE to start our seeds inside.
The design is definitely top-notch! I was continually impressed while I was working with them. Good luck! Short growing seasons are tough!
This will be my 2nd time starting a garden ever. I would love to start from seed rather than getting plants. I really want to start growing my own produce organically so I don't have to rely on the store.
Gardening tip is start small and support your local farmer’s market where you will get great tips to grow more of your own.
I agree with this for sure! Thanks for sharing!
