This is exactly what I need to hear at this point in my life. Thank you for posting this.
facinated by her sense of nuns. married to "the idea".will look into her work. thank-you.
I LOVE you Ida! I love your remembrances and the bird paintings and that I went to the same School...the Art Institute...XOXOX I am still trying to find my place where I feel creative enough to feel I am doing what I need to be doing...Sending you much love and thanks for this!
Thank you for paving the way
The found material reads similar to the dialogues from The Three Christs of Ypsilanti. Thank you for this very interesting conversation with Ida, a humble and inspirational portrait of an artist!

❤️!!!
I wish I'd had her resolve to become an artist.
Never Too Late ....💜🙏👩🎨👨🎨👵👴🎨
In the '70's, I took an art history class. ALL the artists covered were men. I asked the professor 'where are the women artists?' and he replied, "There aren't any worth covering and there never will be." That was kind of discouraging for someone who was an artist.
This is like my Aunt if she was creative and had kids.
❤
she was fortunate to be able to pursue art before parenting became a 24/7 "job"
I love you
Fascinating to hear in 2022 what it was like previously to be valueless to your family because of your gender, for that to be a sentence into domestic servitude and for that servitude to damage your pathway as an artist. What a shame she was stifled that way and her children lost their mother to her true vocation. If. only she had been left alone as she had wanted right from the start. Stupid sexism hurting people.
Nunca transarei, prometo.
I can identify with her.
rich kids LARPing
The damage people can do to their loved ones in the name of God , but the spirit in her proves she had" it ", not her father.
wait she just dipped on her family like that?
Just like that.
Are you as critical when a man does it?
@@charcat1571 Yes. No one should be abandoning their family.
Jeez I hope not, that's crazy
@@alexariza876 Well, I hope you can be a "good Christian" and learn to forgive.
