Lindsay I love waking up to your videos. Only you..could make garlic THAT interesting. I love that you make us think. You asked in a recent video if we prefer real time talk or voice over..i don't remember which one..but i love the real time. Makes me feel im sitting right there by you and your uncensored style is why I love your channel so much. Thank you for another awesome video 🥰👍
You are awesome Lindsay 🙏 what you can produce in such a short session is amazing. You inspire me and I wish Id had an art teacher like you back at school! Also thanks for mentioning us here in Australia... Most artists here on You Tube don't seem to know or acknowledge that we even exist 😂 THANK YOU for your videos. I love them. I want to be like Lindsay! 🤗😁👍😂 kind regards, Mary
I used to think paint what I like ! Why would I paint anything else? After some year's have passed by, i've realized how valuable it is to paint anything! How valuable it is. And you do that! Thank you!
Love garlic. I use it a lot. Best in my mashed potatoes!! Nice watercolor today, as all of yours are, of course. I really enjoy the "freedom" and "loose" painting technique. To much detail and I give up or ruin it with too much. Knowing when "enough is enough" is a learned thing. Thanks for sharing. Hope you all are well in Maine! Spring is coming to Indiana, finally!!!
I absolutely love this style of painting...so free and relaxing. 😊 Yes! This would be beautiful in a kitchen! You could do a series of things, like chives, leeks, or one of your peppers to go with it! Thank you Lindsay! ❤😊🌷
Cool video. Some day when I get tired of painting flowers I will try foods. Yes garlic!!! Always add twice as many cloves as in a recipe, though most times I don't follow a recipe at all. :)
Garlic, onions, and probably other similar vegetables are good for you. For some people, eating these can help lower blood pressure. The painting and the sketch are both nice and would look good hanging on a kitchen wall. Thanks for sharing.
I just loved this one! The colors are gorgeous and the shapes are super interesting. It is a pretty intimidating form, but I sure learned alot by watching and listening to your process. Thanks!
Thanks Lindsay. That's some beautiful garlic. In reality and in paint. I got that primatek starter set on Amazon for 23dollars. I would never have gotten it at 64. It came last Friday. Waited 3 weeks for delivery. We got an 7 week old puppy on mothers day. Just a mut. So cute, a lot of work. I may not get to paint again for 6 months. She's my grandkids first dog. So everybody needs training, kids. Pup, parents. I'm reduced to puppy patrol. Lol.💜
I love this painting, both of them actually. They are both gorgeous. I love when you paint single objects because you make them all so very interesting and beautiful. Great for kitchens or restaurants - you should do a series and sell the paintings to restaurants.
"Sure is a way to chase the blues away"-lynn Garlic is a favorite of mine, love it roasted and love the flavor it has, also shews the skeeters.A lovely painting it is,awesome.❤😊👍👌
Love this! I also use a lot of DS paints. Love them! I simply give my pallete a good misting of water before my painting session and have no issue with picking up enough pigment. Whereas when I use straight from the tube I end up wasting precious pigment. DS, M Graham, Senneiler, Schmincke and WN are represented in my palette, but mostly DS. The problem I get into is mixing DS and M Graham pigments in the heat of the moment during a painting session. Always end up with too much M Graham because I'm not use to the pigment being so soft 😉
I know this is off the subject, but would you consider doing a tutorial on watercolor macarons. I saw that you had one in oil. So I was hoping you might do one in watercolor. Please! Thank you suzie
Jacksons really does have the best prices on brushes, also finetec watercolor pans, sometimes caran dache luminance and pablo, and cheap samples of different watercolor papers. Even with shipping to us is cheaper than blick on that stuff. Sometimes you can upgrade to 2-4day dhl shipping for a couple dollars
Anything with bling is good excuse to use it... if it doesn't look like a still life just call it quarantine abstract impressionism, heheheh. It's a whoooole new artsy era :P
I bought those Primatex too. The Amethyst tube is amazing, has a glorious light glittery look in the sun and of course imparts it's subtle bling to anything you mix with it. I did some simple rocks with it and they were amazingly cool. Did you ever have to block your drawings before filling in the details or were you always able to just sketch out near perfection? So amazing to watch. You hardly ever use masking fluid, that I've seen. Is there a reason why? I may not do this painting, but I think you've inspired me to make garlic bread! :-D. Love the work.
If it is something complex I'll draw it on scrap paper and transfer it on my watercolor paper but I. An directly draw plants, still lifes, florals and animals directly on the paper. I struggle with architecture and mechanical things (probably because I dong enjoy it lol!) So I'd want to draw that on a scrap first.
Ha I was sewing as I listened to this video. In all of the videos I’ve seen with watercolor sticks, everyone puts them into their pans, wonder if anyone uses them as sticks lol. The only pencil i sketch with before painting is the albrecht durer metallic copper color, its very light and is completely invisible after and doesnt change any of the paint colors. On its own its very underwhelming though.
Hey Lindsey I'm new art and UA-cam love your videos, I dont see you use gouache alot can you add gouache Tutorial to your list of future videos ideas will be well appreciated?

Maybe that is why my blood pressure is nice and low:)

Oh, I remember the puppy hood phase, Penny just turned 1 and she is much easier!
Oh so glad to hear you went and saw your mom!
Awesome painting, so colorful, and a lovely piece of garlic. I'll be thinking of this the next time chop my garlic when cooking.

I once traded a painting for credit at a Pakastani restaurant, I ate so well that year!
Awesome painting. I took art class for the summer . Many years ago.
Who knew garlic was so pretty? Well, you did of course! Thank you for showing it to me through your eyes and teaching me to be more observant :)
Beautiful painting, Lindsay!! I have a few Primatek by DS and I love them.
very flowing, with a delicate feel, one of my fav paintings I have seen you do. tfs
