even with a perfect setup, they would still lose that fight XD
THE ONLY realistic angle would be to have vision on tristana and kill her before her supports reacts, but that's a fking stretch and a half if anything.
The point is feel is that doing nothing loses the game. At that point you just hope Tristana is braindead or afk and just try to kill sona and seraphine Quick and then see if they can win a 3v2 with Heimer and Camille or at least escape.

the game was lost no matter what anyone does because rat's team lost in champ select & only had a small window to finish before enemy teamcomp got to a sizeable monstrosity.

He couldn't do anything about the fight, it was for sure lost. I understand the chatter saying why not just try because it is lost. The phrase go down swinging comes to mind. Him saying that rat threw the fight in chat was wrong and you could tell by what the chatter was saying, that he agreed he was wrong saying that. Spending 20 minutes trying to prove you are right instead of just disagreeing when you are the stronger player is the RATIRL special.
He literally didn't give up on the game, he went back to try and stall for his team so they could keep fighting that's arguably more like "going down swinging" than just engaging and dying because your team did a bad and guaranteeing the loss

@@NovaTheVERmin Yeah which is also completely a losing play with 50-second death timers, that would have been the right play if the game had been at say 20 minutes but at that point, unless you are a giga fed late game carry, there is absolutely no way you defend your base. Engaging and dying at least acts like a gambit and creates more chaos,(more chance of the enemy making mistakes) in the game compared just going back to base which won't ever stop the enemy because you can't stall out 2 minion waves.

I think if Rat was at the upper right side of the team fight he MIGHT have had a chance to take 3% of Jarvans health before he is instantly one shot by the remainder of the team.
So the fight got fucked for ratirl and his team.
And there were 2 choices in the argumentation;
1: Die with honor and definitely lose the game.
2: Survive and have a slim chance of stalling the game. (Which unfortunately failed as well)
Ratirl decided to do what he did, but that doesn't mean he singlehandly "trolled" the fight as implied. After have consumed this specific scenario... I like the second choice more for a very slim chance of coming back.

Sona Seraphine, soak up half if not his entire ult dmg minimum. He doesn't have void to lower mr per level.
Jax hard counters pikachu Camille and the Twitch. J4 got his combo on a 5 sec cd. And he can perma zone him out with his 130 mr.
Donger doesn't have liandry, camille got a useless sterak that has no use cause no resistances... And Seju is a non factor.
All of that means that the only target that can be bursted down is tristana. And she's already at the point where she can burst him faster. That's it. Everything else requires at least 3 second of Zeri and him hitting the target. Without any sona sera shields.
They got a pick comp, they're facing a dive / front to back comp. That is both ahead on very lane except rat and with soul.
Only way for them to win was to make picks and if they got this late without doing so, well game is over.
I'm terrible at the game, but i mean that's not hard to get.

Meanwhile, at that time, the best play is to run away and try to delay minion waves in hopes that the enemy team cannot end or they do baron instead. With a clean ace, it's a guaranteed end-game push, but with Twitch alive, there is a small chance that the game doesn't end there.
Twitch has no chance of killing anyone here, let alone kill them all and carry the fight. Zhonyas on Jax and Sona, therefore it takes at least 3 seconds to kill them and get a reset. Jarvan has GA so there's another 4 seconds, they all have massive shields and heals, Seraphine has like a 600 shield on Seraphs. The only target that could potentially get 1 shot is Tristana, who isn't in the fight at the beginning and would one-shot Twitch before Twitch ever kills her anyway.

Just taking a crack at it, you should never path away from the base/team in this fight, you have no vision on Trist and the one teammate near you is practically 1 shot. You had time to go to your backline and path right past the choke they were flooding through. This would've put you furthest away from the choke point and lack of vision towards their side making Trist not a threat. At this point if Jarvan dives on you and ults, his team is pretty far away and you have zhonyas in case you need it. You're right that the fight was lost, but because of timers and objectives already taken there is literally 0 reason not to take this fight when you see your team is already squeezed, not to mention if your positioning was on right side instead of fight, even if you lost you could possibly escape, not that it would matter at that point.
It's easy rewatching the VOD to say what you could of done differently but at the end of the day you don't get challenger without being a good player, the truth is you did your best and even if you played it perfect it's not in your favor.

The point of the random chatter is that he didn't try and he's right. There is absolutely no universe where he can go in and take / slow the wave 1v5 to stop the end but there are many ways the fight could have gone where they at least kill 1 person in the enemy team. Heim ulted the air, Sej died without ulting, Rat still had zhonya in case Trist jumped him, etc and without considering any of this he already gave up on the team fight because 2 people in his team got Sona / Seraphine combo'd (not all 4 like he said). The worst part is that Rat is so stubborn he screams at the top of his lungs saying people are wrong and he is right like he is God who literally knows how a team fight will play out down to every spell when even in professional play teams screw up all the time and lose unlosable fights.

- Trist jumps on him does E R combo and doesn't finish him off for fear of getting 1 shot relying on the fact E will kill but Rat zhonyas before E goes off, surviving.
- Trist jumps on him but is not fed so takes him a while to do dmg and Rat zhonyas E dmg and zhonya gives Heim enough time to get E back which stuns Trist as Rat comes out of zhonya and he can get a E off before Trist is out of cc killing her and giving invis reset
- He uses zhonyas and it does absolutely nothing and he dies and loses the game anyways but in this world he tried his best so nobody backseats and he doesn't have a mental breakdown lol.

Technically it could have gone better, if his team disengaged and that instead of using his Z on the portal, he used it on the narrow path to block them all, but once used and with the way things were going, it was pretty much doomed already. This is in simple terms very simple probability calculations that any third grader can complete with relative ease. Even a bronze could understand that.

Surviving to clear the wave ironically has a better chance of letting them win the game. You are simplifying the situation by only focusing on the fight when winning the game takes precedence anyways.
What you are saying is comparable to a person staying on a sinking ship trying to patch up the thousands of holes it has rather than taking the higher chance of surviving by getting off the ship to swim to shore.

The better play there is to W the wave as twitch when they try to push and end, try to stop them from ending; You have both towers to try to make a play or simply try to kill all the minions and try to slow them down. The silver play that you and the guy in the video are talking about is to simply die because your other 4 teammates are dead which is never good.

OR making it out alive, going back to base and try to stop the enemy from ending? The latter is the better option that good player will always take. Actually I think there is a good way that could possibly change the outcome. At point 17:02 of the video twitch could have W the bottom path that enemy team could only walk throw(doesn't matter if they have f there because twitch can still have a good position far away, even possible bait with w E zhonyas followed with another E) while dealing x3 amount of dmg + passive true damage and simultaneously buying his team some time. Keep in mind that half of that would happen before his team got cc'd thus altering the outcome of that team fight after the in-game minute of 30:54. But I can see and understand his point of view as I have also done that many times when I really want to win a game with twitch mid ap and am fed af. As am free of speaking my view point, I have to say that ratirl did seem very mature over the matter. The chatter or the other hand always trying to explain and understand while being calm and respectful and honest while speaking directly to you. As was said there was higher chance of turning the game around if he escaped and managed to w the wave and stall the game rather than just brainlessly fighting and fully sealing the game there. J4 played well by chasing him and pushing him off the wave.
Like, why low elo central are so focused on the bad player with the "just try mentality". The only real play there was if Rat escaped and tried to kill wave, but he got cut off by J4 so it didn't work. This is why you guys are gold for 10 years straight and blame it on your teams, you see them start fights that are unwinnable and instead of taking the smart approach you just go in for the "0.1% chance it works LOLXD"
@@whisper7393 I mean the "W on wave" idea is just pure copium. J4 and Jax with Sera+Sona shield have no problem tanking 6 turrets with those leads much less two. 50 second timers and the ability to just zone Rat if they really want to. They don't need a wave to end there.
Game was lost, but I stand by that neither player really had a real argument. They were both right for different reasons.
@@ThePinkLynxx This is not about tanking tower shots. Towers take 67% less damage from champions when there are no minions nearby. That and the twitch slow has the potential to stall till someone respawns. It is a much better bet than even trying to kill one person

I mean I understand that its 99% Lost and that 1% if it the entire enemy team gets DDOS-ed, but I dont get why just not even dmg someone if its still lost, like the decision has 0 input on the output of the fight so why not just "try" instead of walking alone to base to still die, like he is not even saving his KDA and there is 0 chance he clears the wave
Wave clear chance probably more than fight chance, his choice doesn't matter but the instinctual reaction to leave a fully lost fight rather than just die is reasonable.

The chances of him winning the fight is 1% but the odds of him clearing the wave is basically 0%. If twitch could just 1v5 clear vs the whole enemy team then it would literally be unlosable

He did actually make a mistake here, he missed his W completely on the hextech gate when he couldve put it in the choke that seraphine and sona went down to stop them getting their teammates and save them.
