If you want your vaults (or anything for that matter) to be perfectly lined up, place a wooden ladder on your foundation, climb on it, and either pick up or destroy the ladder while you're still on it. Now you are perfectly squared, and any structure you place that doesn't snap can be perfectly lined up.
I wouldn't recommend the spike walls. If a tribe is big enough to get close enough for those spike walls to do anything at all then those spike walls will be gone in an instant. Just wasting resources at that point. Your better off just putting a row of turrets on the ground there. Also don't manually put ammo in your current. If your building turrets then your a high enough level to build an ammo crate to automatically put ammo in your turrents.
I'm buying a pc server soon. Rag is the best map and I love this cave great vid ty for teaching us. I'll be building this base along with adding underwater value in the water with piranha as a added help
Didnt.think of throwing any eels ty. I threw some vacuum compartments down and threw a Meg and some piranha in single player ill try eels to. Trying to get an idea before i go to the pvp any other ideas rock
only issue I see with this wall is that the turrets are cram packed together so 1 rocket or c4 would drop a lot of turrets for me id probably add some metal hatchframes and spread out the turrets
yes that is true unless you have a abundance of heavy turrets or if your very lucky your x plants hit the rockets somehow and also with the c4 yes thats why you need to straigize with line of sight,
You really should use heavy turrets bc otherwise people with stegos can rocketrun this wall. Stegos are insane after the last buff. Take care of yourself :)
in my oppinon i would place like 5 normals rest heavys and put on of the heavy/normal on only wild tames, the reason why is that the turret just shoot rockets.

This was only a budget and basic idea that players could look at and change to suit their needs im aware that it's raidable as I haven't even bothered to add a variation in turrets at the least or double door frames in front stacked up to stop pt roles or anything like that.
Nah I make the death wall with foundations on the floor then use large walls to fully cover then vault drop it then add giant hatchframes then put the turrets on em and cover the death wall with hatchframes ecsept 4 the vault dropped part
Thats a good idea and i imagine it works very well. However i designed this as a solo play with cost in mind and this was the best wall i was able to make with the resources i had.
hey at 5:58 you talked about not leaving a gap, but whenever I'm building in a cave the very top pillar can't be placed down because it's obstructed, any tips for dealing with this ? thanks
It shouldn't be a problem as long as it's not big enough to spin through with a pt or anything like that so test it out with your own pt first to see if the gap is big enough to be a problem or not.
You can put fence foundations behind the wall and then if your on unofficial stack behemoth gates over each other making them need to c4 through behemoth gates if you been working on it a decent amount prob like 6 gate while getting shot don’t forget to place them close to each other so there isn’t any gaps!

Sounds like a good idea and I suggest using eals aswell if you can get some as their stunning ability would come in useful in defending.

But how do you enter with the Dino’s and they have a lot of metal you can not carry?

It is 6x damage in there so only takes like 2 to 3 c4 to blow up

Thanks for the advice and normally i would use heavy turrets but at the time of recording this i preferred normal turrets as they were cheaper.

Vault drop is the best tactic
Yeah you can always vault drop if you want to but when making this i wanted to be able to use as little resources as possible
