You hear the words praise and worship spoken around these days, but listen to this magnificent hymn and read the lyrics, and you will appreciate what praise and worship really means. Thank you Natalie for reminding us of this.
Natalie, thank you so much for sharing this. That part "Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
praise God and on Him cast your care" was exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I have been struggling today with bitterness creeping in my heart due to a very long, severe trial in my life that's been going on for years...and as soon as you read those words it broke my heart and melted away the bitterness that was growing there, and I was able to praise and thank the Lord. Thank you for reminding me of the Lord's worthiness of praise, and His care!

Many times I’ve been down, but don’t stay down very long. I start playing hymns my organ chases away the blues. I love the Lord and the beautiful hymns
Is it Painful to Sing & Play at The same Time? Do You UNDERSTAND the Question?
I’m trying to think if there’s ever a time when I’ve sang the last verse at church or anywhere else. I don’t think so. It’s words are awesome too. My church loves to sing the alleluia over and over, and over. I’m not particularly a fan but I know it’s not about me either. I definitely need to work on the heart of worship so often.
I’m thankful for the Love that God showed the world by sending His only begotten Son to die on the cruel cross for the sins of mankind.
Could you start putting the lyrics in the description or put the words at the bottom of the video so that we can sing along and also learn hymns that we don't know?
Natalie, I love this hymn. We didn't grow up singing it in my church but I discovered it as an adult a few years ago. To me it's beautiful, worshipful, and majestic! Thank you for playing it!
