SURPRISE! This week there are two videos in my channel. I watched 5x19 and I just COULD NOT help it, I had to edit it. The team giving every bit of energy that they had, being worried and ready to do whatever it takes to bring Kensi home. Deeks being an emotional mess and so, so, so worried about his partner. The acting from Daniela in the end. The whole episode was amazing! One of my favorites so far!

OMG, I can't pick just one! I LOVE Spoils of War (it's one of my top five eps) but S5 isn't always one I want to rewatch because Kensi is gone for a good chunk of it (although it has some other awesome eps including The Frozen Lake, Three Hearts, and Impact). I personally love S6 and S7 the most but honestly, I can watch any of these seasons at any time (with the exception of parts of S9 due to a character being added that I didn't like) and enjoy myself. This show is overall one of the best shows I've ever watched and I still binge it a lot while working from home. =) BTW-I LOVE this video, you captured so much of what I love about that ep, and please keep the NCIS:LA/Densi videos coming! =) #Densi #NCISLA

@@Maggs_ I loved it! You hit all the important parts of the main episode but tying in some of the scenes from previous episodes (especially showing how Kensi is important to each character trying to save her) was SO effective and really made the video hit home even more. This is one of my fave videos and I think you did an awesome job! (And seriously, the Christmas ep of S6, Humbug, is gonna be your next fave....I'm about 98% sure you're gonna love it!)

Can anyone here explain to me how Hetty went from an overprotective, omniscient mother-hen to her agents in season 1 (like when she tried to retire after Dom died) to someone who would keep the fact that she knew Jack from Kensi and then send Kensi in blind to assassinate him (as the white ghost) taking advantage of her feelings for Jack so that she wouldn’t actually kill him. . .
She put Kensi’s life in danger just by sending her to Afghanistan-the last sniper sent to kill the White Ghost was killed, after all.
But sending her in blind, not knowing it was Jack, set up exactly the situation that happened…right?
Hetty’s actions are a complete 180, she no longer cares more for her own agents lives…she actively put Kensi’s life at risk theoretically to ace Jack. And almost got her whole team killed when they went to save her.
Not sure what the writers are doing here. Does anyone have an explanation that makes sense? Did Hetty lose her empathy? Her intelligence?
And did the whole team just let Hetty off the hook for this? How can they trust her in the future when she continually keeps secrets from them that literally put their lives at risk (as she did withholding information from Callen as well).
Is it just poor/inconsistent writing of a character?

It was explained later (i think in this episode specifically or a couple of episodes later, so PLEASE DON'T READ FURTHER if there is a chance I spoil something for you) that Hetty and Jack were friends and she was trying to protect him and she knew that whoever was sent to kill him would actually kill him, but because of their history Kensi wouldn't. So she chose to send her.
I don't think she predicted the fact Kens would get cought.
I'm not defending her, honestly I don't know as well how they always forgive her for the million times she was keeping things from them when the truth would've helped them. I know this is a significant part of Hetty's character but sometimes it would be annoying. There were very rare times where they hold her responsible for these things.
In this situation specifically I don't know how Kensi would've reacted if she knew sooner that Jack's alive - if she would've believed it, if she would've go straight there to find him and risk his life. But even for these reasons, Hetty was wrong to keep her in the dark. Despite all of that it was a very strong storyline that I enjoyed very much and in which Hetty was a villain a little bit. 😊
