This video is very timely for me. I have lately been made aware of how many prideful and envious thoughts I have. It is not easy to accept that I think this way but I believe it is a blessing that the Holy Spirit has brought this to my attention. I asked our Lord to help me and the thoughts have dissipated somewhat. Thank you for this video. You really explain things in a wonderful and insightful way.

I have those same horrible thoughts, Ieva. I will judge ppl on their looks, often. And race too, sometimes. And I'm not exactly good looking myself or that smart. I feel guilty and get mad at myself. I hate that part of myself. I want to be able to look past looks and race and see their hearts. I struggle with those. May The Lord help me to take my thoughts captive and love like He does!
Amen! Bless you my friend. If you are aware of it, you are already halfway to the breakthrough. God will help you to deal with what he highlights to you in your heart. So often we do things without even noticing, but once the Holy Spirit picks up on things and you get a strong feeling against something in your heart then you can be sure that God is wanting to highlight it to you and change it.. and He always helps us during this process.

Hello :) lol it’s funny that you should ask that... during lockdown I decided to do the no shampoo challenge to detox my hair from chemicals so I have been washing it with water only for the last two and a bit months.. I have wanted to do this for a while but I haven’t ever had the time away from people to do it (hair is pretty greasy for the first 6 weeks-ish and then becomes nice once the natural oils in the hair adjust) so I thought that I would use this lockdown to do it! I really want to get abs.However I don't want to be immodest and expose my tummy. if I don't expose my tummy I wouldn't have to motivation to workout for abs. What is you view on this?
Hello Sarah :) thank you so much for your encouragement! The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:8 that physical training is of some value but godliness has value in all things. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and one thing that we can do to look after ourselves is exercise. Exercise keeps us healthy. If you want to work out and get abs without showing this off to the world then I think you can go ahead in my opinion. As long as this is just about being healthy and looking after your body through exercise. There is a reason why God made our bodies to feel good after exercising etc. Just watch your thoughts and motivations for wearing certain things etc so that you don’t purposely try to make people lust over you etc but I don’t see why you can’t exercise and look great, I’m sure that your husband or future husband will appreciate it too. Just obviously keep God first because holiness has value in all things so it is more important than exercise. Also I guess just double check your heart for the motivation behind it but if it’s something like “to feel good about achieving something through physical discipline” then that’s fine... if it’s like “I have seen that my friend has them and I want to show her that I can look even better than her” then that would be something else lol
Lol sorry I am replying at 5am when I can’t sleep and I just reread your question.. in regards to the “if I don’t show off my tummy then I wouldn’t have the motivation to get abs” part... so then your motivation is to get people to think highly of you and think that you are very attractive? To be honest, and I’m not saying that this is a good motivational factor, they would think that anyway just given the fact that you stay in shape. You don’t have to specifically show your stomach. When you exercise, you get toned all over and this is visible through nearly all forms of clothing. If you don’t have the motivation to do something without showing your stomach then probably you don’t have good motives for it. What does God say about it? I think that you can have a conversation about this with God.

It's so good to hear from you! I'm glad you are well. Thank you for your message! It has been so hard for me lately. My baby passed away at 39 weeks gestation in February. And I had been hoping and praying for a baby for 3 years since I was married. Now, every time I see a baby, I hurt inside. I feel angry, sad, bitter. Why do they get their baby, but I don't get mine? I would NEVER wish harm on a child. I would absolutely NEVER want ANYONE to have to go through what my husband and I went through in the loss of our daughter. But seeing a baby should not anger me or make me bitter. I'm aware of the problem, but dealing with it is so hard. I am praying each time that God will make me feel love and joy each time I see a baby. But right now I just hurt.
Oh I am so sorry for your loss, that is SO hard!!!! ;( Please just keep talking to God and eventually He will heal you of your pain and you will get to the point where you can "rejoice with those who rejoice". This does not mean that you will not still feel sad for your loss from time to time, but it will become less about what others have, and more about how God has comforted you and pulled you through it.. and maybe one day you will be able to help other people in the same situation.

When I was younger, maybe up to 6th grade, I was not judgmental at all. I think back to those days, but it is almost hardwired in me now to be that way. Great advice on how to nip it in the bud.

Hi! Ieva, Thank you for the encouragement. A scripture that has helped me deal with temptation issues many times over the years is... 1Corinthians 10:13😇. There is a promise in it from God that He will always provide a way to escape the temptation no matter what the temptation is.
